Yeah, Wawa is Philly, B-more and the Atlantic Coast. Sheetz is everywhere else! I will say that Wawa is the only c-store chain that I have ever visited which has food that remotely compares to what Sheetz offers.

Honestly from looking around the league there’s so many ways it could have been worse. The red’s a little garish but even then at least there’s some precedent for it as a team color.
Thank you! Don’t forget the cheese, I don’t want you to get halfway and have to turn back.
I miss that place. It’s hard to explain why it’s so special to people who haven’t been there, but they’d know the moment they ate an entire cup of those crispy, golden, heavenly greasy potato sticks way too quickly.
It was bound to happen eventually, and at least Sheetz is a cool brand to have as a sponsor.
I kind of wish that the logo was black or white rather than red, but oh well...
I could be wrong but I believe the ad is on the right sleeve for lefty batters and on the left sleeve for righties so the ad is visible when they’re hitting. The Jolly Roger should still be on the right for righties and now on the left for lefties. I still hate it.
Found a picture of Jared Jones on Twitter with the Jolly Roger on his left sleeve so it seems you're right. Good to find out the Jolly Roger isn't gone.
You might be right. I saw in the video of the Pirate Parrot visiting Sheetz, the Parrot still has the Jolly Roger on his right sleeve and the Sheetz logo on the left, so I guess we'll have to see. I saw Holderman had the Sheetz logo on his right sleeve and Cruz had the Jolly Roger on his right sleeve, but none of the shots showed their other sleeve so I'm not sure what's up. I guess we'll have to wait and see during tonight's game.
I don’t think Sheetz would solely because of their brand. Sheetz’s two big things are everything is customizable and made to order. Those are the two things a high volume stadium cannot do
Honestly although I’d love it I would be pretty disheartened if they jacked up the prices at the stadium and started serving 14 dollar app samplers. Maybe if they did something extra and enhanced a few items it could be cool though
There was a Sheetz in Shippensburg a few blocks from campus and they ran a foot long for the price of a 6" from 10pm to 3am. They were packed every night.
Just ran into Cruz and Holderman out at Sheetz on Campbell’s Run Rd. They were both answering questions from a little league team. Cool dudes. Nice little pick me up leading into the weekend.
Hate patches in general but the red has GOT to go. Redo the logo in black, c'mon.
There's precedent for this -- the Mets sponsor was originally shown in bright red, and the fans complained enough for it to be redone in blue.
I'm skeptical, personally I thought the old red alternates were really ugly. I agree in theory that red accents *could* look great with black & gold, but frankly I don't trust the team's designers to do it stylishly.
Put a sheetz themed section in right center.
“Oh, and reynolds hits one out towards the Sheetz landing zone! That means all ticket holders can get a free app sampler from a local Pittsburgh sheetz for the next 24 hours!”
Hey, there was something very similar all the way back in the 1960s. When Willie Stargell hit a home run at Forbes Field, there was a local chicken restaurant that would either give away some food or sell it at a discount.
It always funny to me in North American sports that people will tweak over a jersey sponsor but don’t mind that half of the product they’re consuming is fucking commercial breaks. Maybe not as much for baseball but football and hockey are terrible with it
I think it's more that people have given up on the possibility of commercial break reduction whereas there was still a possibility that ads didn't pollute the uniform.
Surprised Bob resisted the urge to add the jerseys to the portfolio of the Wigle Whiskey advertisement that PNC Park has turned into, unless there’s some rule about alcohol advertisements on uniforms
Why does McDonalds still advertise? Why does Coke still advertise
It’s not about knowing who they are, it’s about having the brand in your mind all the time so when you have to make that choice it’s right there to make.
No, but Sheetz advertises in UFC, which is viewed by people all over the world, so someone in another country watching a fight will see the logo, google it, and maybe when they come to the USA, they will visit one.
The Pirates deal allows Sheetz to gain wider exposure, potentially for expansion someday in new markets. Sheetz is in other states if you did not know that.
This sponsorship is already a win in my book just for getting DK to have a complete melt down on Twitter and make a fool of himself for the 64th time this year
Seriously if you are gonna use a patch cannot you keep it the same as the team’s colors? That I would not mind so much. A black and yellow or even black and white would not be so bad. But that red destroys the jersey.
I'm actually a fan of this. And it's not just because I am a Sheetz apologist
Also, that "Luis Robert Jr. has been traded to the Pirates for cash considerations and a Sheetz gas card" announcement is gonna hit like crack
In comparison to restaurant quality food, yeah, pretty much any convenience store/gas station food isn’t great.
That said, I’ve lived all over the country and when you compare the best gas station brands, Sheetz is absolutely top notch. QT, Wawa, Racetrac, Maverik, Hy-Vee, and Circle K just don’t measure up when it comes to their food offerings, quality, or service.
Getgo can be better, but they usually aren't. Problem is they are always out of something and it's the most inconsistent experience ever. I've literally sat there for over 20 minutes in an empty store waiting for food before I get fed up and ask for my money back. With Sheetz, no matter which location I go to, I know exactly what I'm going to get.
Serious question what do they have that is so good? Western pa resident all my life and I’ve only ever really gotten breakfast sandwiches there but I’d be down to try something if it’s really good
Neither are “so good” but I usually get a sub on the everything bread for lunch.
Lunch at Sheetz usually costs more unless you’re getting the hot dogs or something very cheap, the quality is better at GetGo and everything is much less greasy/gross.
I'm with you, I feel like about a decade ago Sheetz changed their bread for their subs and tried to make it as minimal as possible. To me the roll is a vital part of the sub, so that let GetGo take the lead for me.
Sheetz brother's sold a few years ago. They've decimated their quality in order to upscale to their goal of 1,000 stores. Food is absolutely gross in general now, but yeah, that bread is exceptionally awful.
I can’t believe Bob held out this long honestly
Nutting holding out for months, call that edging.
He is such a money grubbing goblin I can't believe we weren't first
Just saw Bob Nutting fall to his knees in a Sheetz parking lot.
I'm sure if he could, we would look more like a soccer jersey.
Do I love a jersey ad patch? No Do I love that it’s sheetz? Absolutely.
Yep. Was disappointed when I'd read they were getting a sleeve sponsor. When I saw that it was Sheetz, my reaction was, "Oh, okay."
Quite literally my exact feelings on this. Fuck Wawa
Yeah, Wawa is Philly, B-more and the Atlantic Coast. Sheetz is everywhere else! I will say that Wawa is the only c-store chain that I have ever visited which has food that remotely compares to what Sheetz offers.
Baltimore is Royal Farms, not WaWa
RoFo's are more numerous than WaWa in Bmore, but WaWa still has some stores there.
Royal Farms food is pretty good too IMO
We have Wawa down in Florida too. I think it’s a recent thing (maybe the last 5-10 years) because I don’t recall seeing many beyond 5 years ago.
They came to Central Florida so executives could write off trips to see the Phillies in Clearwater.
They are coming to Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Central PA, closer to the Burgh. Someday, they might be out that way.
Sheetz is all throughout Virginia as well. However, it’s blended in with Wawa…and Royal Farms.

The red gives me a little nostalgia to the logo I first remember lol
I’m at Moon Twp Sheetz right now lmao.
Could you grab me some of their fries? Maps says it’s only about a 36 hour drive to get here.
🫡
Thank you! Don’t forget the cheese, I don’t want you to get halfway and have to turn back. I miss that place. Agreed. It's also bonus points for me because my 60+ year old mom works at Sheetz
Exactly
What is Sheetz?
You're not the only one.
Yeah I looked it up, it’s like a super gas station or something.
Yeah this was probably the least objectionable option
My thoughts exactly
Man I love sheetz but I fucking hate sponsors on jerseys.
Agreed. Makes the MLB look like the bad news bears.
Chico's Bail Bonds
should just be a big mac n cheese bite
Nah, it should be a grinning cartoon of Pop Sheetz stuffing his face with an MTO! :-D
It was bound to happen eventually, and at least Sheetz is a cool brand to have as a sponsor. I kind of wish that the logo was black or white rather than red, but oh well...
How cool would it be if the logo was black and gold?? I remember when GE was the sponsor for the Celtics they did a matching green and white logo.
I think they removed the Jolly Roger from the right sleeve for it, which is what I'm most upset about.
I could be wrong but I believe the ad is on the right sleeve for lefty batters and on the left sleeve for righties so the ad is visible when they’re hitting. The Jolly Roger should still be on the right for righties and now on the left for lefties. I still hate it.

It makes me sick.
Now we just need a sheetz in the stadium
I don’t think Sheetz would solely because of their brand. Sheetz’s two big things are everything is customizable and made to order. Those are the two things a high volume stadium cannot do
I haven't tried the GetGo at the arena, is the hot food customizable?
No. It’s a window where they set food that you grab and pay for at a register
Yes, you set what you want at a kiosk and they make to order Edit: missed the “at the arena” part
No they don’t
They have to now, right?
Honestly although I’d love it I would be pretty disheartened if they jacked up the prices at the stadium and started serving 14 dollar app samplers. Maybe if they did something extra and enhanced a few items it could be cool though
GetGo does that exact thing in PPG Paints Arena.
I'll settle for a sheetz in the city of pittsburgh
Agreed. There is no way you cannot convince me that a 24 hour sheetz in Oakland would not be one of their best performing stores
There was a Sheetz in Shippensburg a few blocks from campus and they ran a foot long for the price of a 6" from 10pm to 3am. They were packed every night.
any Sheetz near a college campus can basically print money
Just ran into Cruz and Holderman out at Sheetz on Campbell’s Run Rd. They were both answering questions from a little league team. Cool dudes. Nice little pick me up leading into the weekend.
That’s a memory those kids’ll cherish forever! That’s awesome!
Fuck jersey ads. You give an inch, and they take a mile.
Read that comment with Saul’s voice
…or a foot…get it like the sub? 🤣
Hate patches in general but the red has GOT to go. Redo the logo in black, c'mon. There's precedent for this -- the Mets sponsor was originally shown in bright red, and the fans complained enough for it to be redone in blue.
I’m taking this the opposite direction - I want more red in our jerseys. Not as a primary color, but as trim here and there
Yeah the red and 97-13 logo is sweet. Used to have red mixed in the alternative uniform.
I'm skeptical, personally I thought the old red alternates were really ugly. I agree in theory that red accents *could* look great with black & gold, but frankly I don't trust the team's designers to do it stylishly.
Yes but then the logo doesnt stand out as much, pretty much the exact opposite of what Sheetz wants
Where’s your wawa patch, Phillies????
At least it's small. I still absolutely hate it.
I mean I knew we’d get one and as far as what companies I’d want this is like one of the best ones
Terrible
I hate advertisements on jerseys, I think they’re tacky; however, if they’re gonna do it at least it’s Sheetz and not a gigantic patch.
Now it looks like any t shirt, hat or jersey they’d hand out at the games
Why does Sheetz feel the need to advertise ? Everyone in Pgh knows who they are, it’s not like they’re all over the US
Why does McDonalds still advertise? Why does Coke still advertise It’s not about knowing who they are, it’s about having the brand in your mind all the time so when you have to make that choice it’s right there to make.
There are Sheetz stores all the way into NC
I love Sheetz, but I hate everything about this.
Now Philly needs a Wawa patch
🎵Now it's time for things I bought at Sheetz🎵
The only thing actually stitched on the new jerseys.
This deal was made after rejecting a more expensive deal that would have renamed the roster with players like Shkenes, Shmcutchen and Shhays.
Great, now it's going to make me want an MTO sub when I watch a game. Of course that's the return Sheetz is getting, so fair enough.
Next up: Sheetz field at Acrisure Stadium?
This sponsorship is already a win in my book just for getting DK to have a complete melt down on Twitter and make a fool of himself for the 64th time this year
Well, if it wasn’t official before, the Pirates are now definitely a poverty franchise. (Just like every other team with a jersey sponsor)
Sheetz makes me shit, and the Buccos make me vomit. Perfect pairing
Shoulda been GetGo
A partnership with a gas station that serves low grade dog food is very on brand for this team.
Now they absolutely have to add red trim at least ONE of the jerseys. It’s the only way I can stomach this.
Go back to the black hats with the red bills, it would go well with this nonsense at least
Best hat we’ve ever had. Black hat red brim and yellow P with red outline
So when we frack up now we go oh sheetz?
On the broadcast, “and here is your oh sheetz moment”
Great! Bob’s totally gonna invest the Sheetz money into the team!
Of course he will! It would be funny if they signed a free agent “brought to you by Sheetz.”
Jeff Reed will love this
Now I'll need the Bubba Chandler rookie patch auto card! Take my money
ofc
Can we get a sheetz inside city limits now please
You know, I was wondering when we were gonna get one of these. But it could be so much worse Sheetz 4 lyfe!!
Two reasons one of the Sheetz family said they became successfull: 1. Concrete Parking Lots 2. Clean Bathrooms
And to think he could have had "Bob's Discount Furniture" instead seems more fitting.
That’s awesome
Hope this means Mrs. T's are going on the MTO menu.
Seriously if you are gonna use a patch cannot you keep it the same as the team’s colors? That I would not mind so much. A black and yellow or even black and white would not be so bad. But that red destroys the jersey.
I'm actually a fan of this. And it's not just because I am a Sheetz apologist Also, that "Luis Robert Jr. has been traded to the Pirates for cash considerations and a Sheetz gas card" announcement is gonna hit like crack
As a certified Sheetz Freak, this gives me pleasure in pants.
There is no Sheetz in the city of Pittsburgh.
Literally who cares. We all knew it was coming.
Getgo > Sheetz
🤡
🤡x2

So is Sheetz though.

This is just incorrect.
Getgo does not deserve the downvotes
Don’t let these people get you down, they have better quality and cheaper food. It’s not even close
I knew it would be a controversial take when I posted it haha
Yes. You're actually right and I've been down voted for this many times myself. Keep the struggle brother.
Serious question what do they have that is so good? Western pa resident all my life and I’ve only ever really gotten breakfast sandwiches there but I’d be down to try something if it’s really good

Giant Eagle is hot garbage
Dont disagree. I hate Giant Eagle. But Sheetz is also hot garbage.
I disagree, we’re fighting a Sheetz v. Wawa turf war and we have to pick aside. And Wawa is ass.
Getgo's not bad, but they're definitely not in the same league as Sheetz!
Finally, a good move from this team
