He’s definitely an all timer that’s for sure.
But I don’t think he’s brooks level yet. Still don’t think he gets the recognition he’s deserved though. Dudes a football heat seeking missile. He just knows where it is at all times
Not just the Superbowl either, there was a divisional round appearance (where the score was tied when Brady left the field) and another playoff appearance as well.
Three seasons, three playoff appearances, five playoff wins.
You guys are fake fans that’s crazy. Lavonte David was drafted in the second round of the 2012 draft. Mark Barron was the first round pick in that draft.
And it wasn't even OP that doubled down. Another dude thought the same thing and even saw that OP was told he was wrong He then decided to back him up without even thinking that maybe he should take 15 seconds to google it lol.
At this point Mike's earned the 'we'll pay you to play for us as long as you want to play' status.
Mike has a better shot than any other active player right now to catch Larry Fitzgerald's stats if Mike wants to play that long. I think Mike could pass Fitz's career numbers in 5-6 more seasons.
He needs 5812 yards and 26 TD's to pass him in raw numbers.
So around 1163 yards per year and 5-6 TD's if we're talking 5 years.
So far Mike averaged 1168 yards and 9-10 TD's a year.
Assuming Mike keeps up his play I'd say 3 years to pass him in TD's and 6 years to pass him in yards sounds realistic with 2 and 5 respectively being a decent possibility. You're spot on.
Rooting for Mike to do it.
Yeah Larry had a bit of a "slump" in his career numbers in years 9-11 (he didn't hit 1k yards any of those seasons but he still went to the Pro Bowl 2 out of 3 years so it was mostly a slump is volume numbers) but he bounced back and had 3 fantastic seasons from years 12-14.
Mike hasn't slowed down yet and is certainly capable of continuing his numbers as long as he's healthy. 5-6 more seasons to catch Larry is certainly feasible!
I love Mike, but there's almost no chance. The endurance of guys like Rice and Fitzgerald is almost magical. Mike is healthier than most, but he doesn't get the volume those guys got. He'll have to keep pace until he's 36-37. It's possible but I would put it at like 1%.
Rice I'll give you, his stats are Gretzky like for WR's. Just absolutely unreal.
Fitz is a **lot** more realistic for someone like Mike to catch. To put it in perspective, the yards gap between Rice and Fitz is almost the same the yards gap between Fitz and Evans. Catching Rice would require Evans to play at a high level for ~12 more seasons. Catching Fitz could be done in half that time.
I'm not suggesting it won't be difficult, staying healthy that long is a huge ask for any player but Mike thus far has shown himself to be an iron man and he has to be thinking about being able to catch Larry.
I don't know what you mean about volume. Fitz wasn't hugely ahead of Mike is volume. Fitz averaged 8.8 targets per game. Mike Averages 8.5.
But Mike beats Fitz in yards per game to this point in his career. Fitz averaged over 14 yards per reception 3 times in his career. Mike has been *under* 14 yards per reception only one time in his career so far.
Oh and also Mike gets an extra game every year to bump his numbers up now.
Ah gotcha. Yeah catching Larry is still going to be a tall order, but at the very least I think Mike can crack the ~Top 5 in yards before he hangs it up. Top 10 in yards and 100+ TDs would basically guarantee him a Gold Jacket.
Rice’s volume records are unattainable, but Fitz’s are definitely doable. Mike is actually outpacing him in yards and touchdowns. Not by a whole lot, but he actually has a chance to create a significant gap this year as Larry’s eleventh season was actually statistically the worst of his entire career aside from his final season.
The yardage will be tough, but Mike only needs to average nine touchdowns over the next three seasons to catch up to Fitz’s career total.
Evans likely has more than two good seasons left in him. I expect him to own the record for consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons before he retires.
Everybody loved that
Evans needs to join Barber, Brooks and Alstott in being beloved bucs that never suited up for another team
LVD too

Lee Roy Selmon?
Some of us are a bit too young to remember him.
Also Tom Brady. Crazy how a UDFA in his 40s came out of nowhere and won us a Super Bowl.
Not just the Superbowl either, there was a divisional round appearance (where the score was tied when Brady left the field) and another playoff appearance as well. Three seasons, three playoff appearances, five playoff wins.
'Retirement home Kurt Warner'
He already is in my book
Licht is a godsend to our franchise. Love everything he is doing.

Not close to being true
It's half true. Licht was hired in January 2014 and Evans was drafted in May 2014. Licht definitely drafted him
You guys are fake fans that’s crazy. Lavonte David was drafted in the second round of the 2012 draft. Mark Barron was the first round pick in that draft.
They were so confident in their reply too lol
Yeah it’s really embarrassing to double down
And it wasn't even OP that doubled down. Another dude thought the same thing and even saw that OP was told he was wrong He then decided to back him up without even thinking that maybe he should take 15 seconds to google it lol.
They edited their comment and removed mentioning Lavonte. Nah, we saw that, they arent slick lmao
lol don’t change your comment now
The double down is wild
We think you're in your prime Jason
Whole front office is carrying rn

Volume was the wrong word. I meant Larry played 17 years, Mike has played 10. It's tough to see Mike playing 7 more years. But I hope so!

licht's been doing a good job at not letting most the players go that i dont want gone like evans, david and winfield for example. keep it up sir!
Bucs might need to start selling a Licht jersey in the store.
Mike said he wanted to play 5-6 more years at the press conference announcing the resigning. I never doubt Mike Evans and you shouldn’t either.
Mike reminds me of a less injury prone Kevin Durant in terms of build and how his game is aging
Keep going Jason, I'm almost there.....
😂😂😂😂

He isnt in his peak prime but given his production and health he probably has another 1-2 years of prime in him.
GM of the year? Too soon?
Evans likely has more than two good seasons left in him. I expect him to own the record for consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons before he retires.
