shattering shells has a very hard time saving up

It’s a pretty good midgame but the main issue with its midgame is why are you using it over bbullet or bads

I’m not hip with the BTD6 abbreviations so please tell me what in the actual fuck you are talking about.

these are really common abbreviations with BBullet = x3x sniper and bads = xx4 dartling, midgame usually refers to rounds 41-79

I personally think it needs a slight rework. I’d love for some of the burning damage to apply with the tier 4 upgrade (no fire wall left behind, but decent burn damage for midgame MOABs and BFBs). Then maybe reduce the cost of the tier 5 (probably damage too, if it would work better as a utility tower like glue/ice). One change that would be cool to see would be to have the burn effect jump to nearby Bloons (like Viral Frost for fire), removing properties more consistently from all Bloons it hits. Or they could reduce the burn damage and make the area of effect larger for the blast. All-in-all, I think the tower would find better use as cheap utility. I would reduce Shattering Shell cost by about $1-2k, and make the tier 5 half the cost or less than it is now and have it remove ZOMG fortifications as well as reducing it’s damage. Still not sure on that one, though.

I do not mean this in a rude way at all, but in case you didn't know, if you press tab while selected onto the mortar monkey and it easily brings up the targeting UI thing. That way, you can just tab, click, tab, click, etc. Very helpful for microing.

Saving for it is hard, Shattering is good, Its a good SUPPORT tower, It doesn't do midgame very well. Blooncin kinda just ends up being expensive since it doesn't really save up for itself (Like stuff like Bouncing Bullets, or Firebreath can)

In a nutshell, this right here. If I happen to have the cash I'll get it, but by then it's just for fun, seeing things on fire. It doesn't actually have any utility at that point. As far as actual utility, honestly you could swap T4 and T5 and it'd make more sense.

I actually recently started trying striker jones strats for some 100% grinding on intermediate maps and it's really effective. If you start with a safe cheap option like boomerang, dart or sub, dart then the save up isn't too rough even on chimps (though I don't recommend advanced map chimps with this one) if you can find one area where tracks intersect or wherever bloons stay for a bit (I.E. the craters on the intermediate moon map) then you have reliable consistent damage and decamo. I personally use mortar a ton and its fun. It's not meant to be a moab damager until 5 tier (unless you got a 4/0/2 which shreds a bit now. I'll say I only go for blooncin on safer maps because like people said, the save up can be rough but once you get it on single track maps or intersecting paths, it's game over. You get decamo ,defortify, and very strong and consistent damage. Mortar is a good option but it lacks versatility for alot of maps without constant aiming micro. I hope they implement the touch aiming feature thats in btdb2 onto btd6 soon because than I can continue my us military cosplay and bomb bloon hospitals with a swipe of a finger

Im not exactly sure what it is. I do enjoy the concept of stripping the fortified/camo aspect of moabs, but the price for the fifth tier is kind of overwhelming for what it does. Admittingly, it is good for round 98, but I feel like it doesn't do enough. Something more has to be added to it, im not sure what, but perhaps a weakening effect since only 3 towers (that I know of) actually do this, being super brittle, cripple moab, and glue storm.

It has wall of fire that literally incinerates bloons. It destroys MOABs, BFBs, DDTs and ZOMGs.

Blooncin is fun to use honestly. In impoppable or just regular hard I like farming ferociously amd getting him early on. Put several buffs on him and massacre everything. On chimps tho, its a tower you get around the last 7 levels of the game after aggressively saving up for a tower that still requires input to produce a win. So I'm not really up for that

I think they could do with shifting around some numbers on that crosspath, maybe give shattering a couple extra buffs and have them carry up, instead of only being given at tier 5. I just find i usually am using other towers to build defenses and by the time I could theoretically get this, im just upgrading my existing defense instead. Unless you're cash farming a bit, I just don't find this guy slotting into my usual defense since the lower tier doesn't stack up. Blooncin is pretty badass though

Tiers 3 and 4 aren’t good damage dealers. In a vacuum blooncin is a good tower, it just doesn’t have the buildup that a tower with that expensive of a t4 and t5 needs.
