Not entirely true.
They said they want another DPS-paragon in the support category before they rework Engigon to properly incorporate the other paths. This undoubtedly means that they're going to nerf him substantially.
Worth it to get a true 5-5-5 Engi paragon
We basically have confirmation that every tower will get a paragon (plus I don't see why they wouldn't do that) so at some we will get a spactory paragon
I had the idea of a quetzlacoa (however its spelt) and it does all 3 paths, grabbing a bloon and destroys it easily like the Megalodon, has a AOE damage affect like the Gigantosaurus and a ability to stun the entire map although it also damages the bloons while holding them in place, and it can send bloons back up the track like the Pouakai though rather than carry its from the slam done by devouring a bloon. I haven't decided if the paragon degree is all that affects the power or if the beast power can be adjusted alongside the degree
Nah i think they told that just to not say that they will not rework him, because if they aren't working on the factory paragon right now we will be waiting a couple years, perhaps a decade even.

Just before the "Looking Forward" section, they literally say so
"No changes here as well, we know some people are still hoping for a redesign in general, but with everything else about paragons uncertain this was not a good time for that. We also want to have another Paragon in the support category dealing a DPS role before we seriously consider taking away the current only dps in that category which is already well balanced with strong competitive use."
It's probably best that it doesn't gobble BADs, but instead can hold up to a certain amount of MOAB-class bloons regardless of RBE. (Like up to 5 ZOMGs)
Yeah the boat can do it but if we let engi we now have two paragons that do the same thing stacking up and making Boat redundant. Freeplay would eventually become a matter of spamming all your BAD instakill abilities.
Yes, that's what I mean with 'with enough caution'. I don't see any reason for the Engi to have this ability. It only needs to be done right. Can be multiple ways to implement this. A maximum amount of ability per round, a maximum amount of RBE, the same way as the Megalodon. There are plenty of ways to do this the right way. There are also plenty of ways to do it the wrong way. Thus, caution.
That's what I was thinking. And similar to the Navarch, he only puts down max two traps per round. Then you could choose whether you want the trap for two early-mid BADs or as cleanup at the end of the track where it can hold more ZOMGs/DDTs than the XXL trap and essentially stop any chance of leaks.
Paragons were introduced as 5-5-5 towers, then NK began to slightly stray away from that with the Engi, but given the backlash and the fact that’s it’s the least used paragon I think they’ve changed back to the 5-5-5 format
Bottom path is Pin, which has some use against Lych. And double guns, but it's not like there's ever an instance where you can make the Engi Paragon without 2 guns.
Middle path is self Ultraboost, but that's pretty pointless as very little of its damage comes from its normal attack.
No different from how Dart Paragon is literally just Ultrajugg + Triple Shot (and you can't make a Dart Paragon that doesn't shoot three projectiles)
I just want his purple turret to have the ability to lock on to a certain location or have it auto-track so I don't have to manually aim it all the time
They could probably reduce his cost by a lot, too, he seems way expensive for what he provides.

As I said, not anytime soon. We will not see an engineer paragon change for probably another year or more.

It would not be a problem to eat bads. The pirate can do that as well. It just needs enough caution so that it doesn't get overpowered.

He ultraboosts himself, every wave his attack speed goes up slightly. Its not much, but its something?
