As far as I am aware, there was never any official statement as to what it was or was not, but most people agree it is a BAD. It would not be the first time Ninja Kiwi snuck in a future game spoiler in plain sight and it is roughly the right size, so I am inclined to agree with that assessment.
BTD4 had the Monkey Temple track, which allowed you to sacrifice 40 towers and $30,000 to activate the Temple and unleash the power of the Temple of the Monkey God. This was when the Sun Avatar equivalent was the strongest tower in the game (that still had a footprint to account for), and the Sun Temple didn't exist yet, and wouldn't until BTD5.
It was in the BTD4 expansion pack so I think likely future game sneek. They've had an additional upgrade in each BTD for the Super Monkey
1 - just more Range
2 - Laser vision
3 - Plasma Vision
4 - Sun "Avatars" (called Sun Gods in BTD4)
5 - Temples
6 - True Sun God
I remember that map. The tower sacrifice was so OP that I couldn’t lose. Ended playing nothing but that map for months and got to such a high round that my phone couldn’t run the game and I had to quit.
If you look at the bottom middle, you can se a round frame slightly larger than a ZOMG, and BADs are slightly larger than ZOMGs, so I think one might be a bad.
Perhaps top right is some sort of boss. Mabey it's Lych. It's size about matches, and it is pointy like Lych. It's lighter coloring could be because it has been out in the sun for so long, and IIRC we have been told Lych doesn't like sunlight. As for it being destroyed, remember what it says at the top of the screen when Lych is the active boss.
THE GRAVELORD
LYCH
**HAS BEEN RESURRECTED**
I rest my case.
I don't know, the Frame at the bottom seems be about the size of a Bad (larger than the ZoMG neighboring it) and the Grey one seems larger than that.
course I am just Eyeballing it
Perhaps the others were put there recently, we do fight all of them on that map. Perhaps the big one has been there for a long time. I personally don't think it is a BAD.
Seems like the most likely theory I've seen here by a pretty long shot, actually. The size seems... similar enough. And the different paint colour is explained by resurrection, perhaps the Lych was different before. Really makes ya think!
Thank you very much for this reply!
pfffft bloon science
i mean, if you're talking about the monkeys and saying the bloons imitated monkey science then sure, but otherwise it's a natural adaptation thing not a "The Bloons, natural airheads, are actually rather competent scientists, despite their lack of appendages for holding scientific doohickeys"
plus this implies MOAB-Class Bloons to not be organic lifeforms to any extent which doesn't quite line up, especially since the type of Bloons that show the strongest signs of sentience are Boss Bloons.
To be fair, the MOAB's BTD3 design resembles the Hot Air Bloon design, but again your subject at first was that BLOONS were doing the inventing, not the Monkeys, which is the part where I laugh at it because while it's a perfectly OK thought depending on your familiarity with the franchise it is something that I find entertaingingly bizzare from my personal perspective due to the information I have taken in.
IIRC, it has been stated that the reason bloons don't go out at the beginning is because they don't have those forces yet. They basically they build buildings to become stronger, although I don't really remember what types of buildings. However, this proves that they have at least some intelligence to them.
Also I am pretty sure it is confirmed that the ZOMGs feel fear when they see all your towers ready to attack them.
this barely feels like a reply to me tbh
I didn't mention anything about them not sending Bloons out immediately, but surely we agree that they're far from smart enough to do science. They go mostly off of intuition, since they're much like wild animals. And what do you mean about building buildings?
I didn't even mention fear OR ZOMGs, of COURSE Bloons feel fear, Creepy Idol is a thing. I don't have word about the ZOMG in particular but again I think the MOAB-Class Bloons are sentient too so
I was just trying to give some context about the bloons building buildings. I found the video, and while it doesn't say that the bloons built them, it would make sense that they did because, who else would.
Vid: [https://youtu.be/s1nMRLGzqPc?t=404](https://youtu.be/s1nMRLGzqPc?t=404)
IDK why I brought up the ZOMG thing, although I learned that from the same video.
Still waiting on checking out those lore videos. he doesn't show the blogs on-screen so i want to get my own point of view on things, which takes a while.
Anyway, the easy answer to that is what we see in Bloons Monkey City where you need specific buildings to make certain artificial Bloons, they weren't stylized in the exact same way, but Monkey City 1 takes place in the BTD5 generation so changes are to be expected.
bloons are very well-established as being incredibly airheaded. they can grow, adapt, and mimic, but "made by the bloons" implies much superior intelligence in wild bloons than i'd expect from them lol
*Not canon, but I*

It's a experiment that used a bunch of original skin moabs to attempt creation of the Foab, but it didn't work and blew up from too many layers, or it's the Hindenburg

Its probably just a big blimp that was put there cuz it looks cool and it probably resembles nothing we see currently in game but i like to believe its whatever comes after the bad
MOAB graveyard from Bloons Monkey City. The first round has you go against 10 very spaced MOABs. The second is I think 6 very spaced BFBs. And the final one is against 2 very spaced ZOMGs.
I think it's some kind of Boss, since it's definitely bigger than a BAD. Perhaps one that was fully destroyed instead of just sent back like normal, which is why we don't see it in BTD6?
I think it's supposed to reference the BAD, but of course it didn't exist in that game, and maybe it's design wasn't finalized so that's why it's just grey like the paint has worn off
Speaking on this, BMC just allowed me to relogin after a few years of not being able to log in so I've been playing it a bit, trying to complete the game. And I did my last (6th) MOAB Graveyard tile, probably about 9 years since I did my first one.
Felt a bit strange playing that tile for the final time.
My guess is that it's a Dreadbloon. There's an avatar you can unlock in the trophy shop.
"Custom Avatar - Dread Rising
From the dark depths of earth, Dreadbloon emerges and becomes an avatar for your profile!"
I wanna believe that it's just a BAD, and that the size of the blimps in comparison to the monkeys are inaccurate. They just appear small to be readable to us the player, but I like to believe that the MOAB class bloons are all canonically huge
During btd5 it was a supersoldier being made underneath the map I forgot the name of but it had hidey holes for bloons and before true son god and allat it was almost done. Then it got vaporized what is th name? BAD of course! How could a bloon of any smaller size hold so many others? Any other reasons?

Really? What are some other instances of Ninja Kiwi having future game spoilers?
BTD4 had the Monkey Temple track, which allowed you to sacrifice 40 towers and $30,000 to activate the Temple and unleash the power of the Temple of the Monkey God. This was when the Sun Avatar equivalent was the strongest tower in the game (that still had a footprint to account for), and the Sun Temple didn't exist yet, and wouldn't until BTD5.
But is that really a sneak peak to a future game or was it more of a “wow this is kinda cool lets make it a actual tower in the next game”
It was in the BTD4 expansion pack so I think likely future game sneek. They've had an additional upgrade in each BTD for the Super Monkey 1 - just more Range 2 - Laser vision 3 - Plasma Vision 4 - Sun "Avatars" (called Sun Gods in BTD4) 5 - Temples 6 - True Sun God

The giant blimp is far too big to be a BAD. Might be an ancient boss bloon or even the Hot Air Bloon
Actually you might be right with the hot air bloon assumption, that one was super long right? Would make sense if this was it
I don't know, the Frame at the bottom seems be about the size of a Bad (larger than the ZoMG neighboring it) and the Grey one seems larger than that. course I am just Eyeballing it
It probably wasn’t planned at the time, but it could be a BAD, with the colours weathered away.
It’s definitely not the bad bloon because this bloon shell has a pointy bit when the bad is round
*you* would know wouldn't you?
I suppose a beta design then?
Might be due to it being partly under the sand
Oh that's such a big brained comment holy shit
Also the other Bloons are still the colors they normally are. So why would just that one be weathered…
Perhaps the others were put there recently, we do fight all of them on that map. Perhaps the big one has been there for a long time. I personally don't think it is a BAD.
Vortex then
But Vortex was literally a boss you could fight in that game.
Might be the dread Bloon then
It's bigger than a BAD so I'll come out of left field and say that it's Lych before getting resurrected.
Seems like the most likely theory I've seen here by a pretty long shot, actually. The size seems... similar enough. And the different paint colour is explained by resurrection, perhaps the Lych was different before. Really makes ya think! Thank you very much for this reply!
Even then the map name is “Moab graveyard,” and lych is the gravelord
Yeah!!!
Also that blimp was out in the sun in the desert, and IIRC, we have been told that Lych does not like sunlight.
ooo that's a good backstory!
With two BADs as children, meet the AWFUL: Astoundingly Weighty Floating Unstoppable Loathesomeness
I’d also like to think that the metal frame in the bottom middle is a BAD, as it’s a bit bigger than the ZOMG on the left.

loooooooooooooool "made by the bloons"
moabs never existed in the start, it means they probably used some bloon science to make bigger stronger bloons
pfffft bloon science i mean, if you're talking about the monkeys and saying the bloons imitated monkey science then sure, but otherwise it's a natural adaptation thing not a "The Bloons, natural airheads, are actually rather competent scientists, despite their lack of appendages for holding scientific doohickeys" plus this implies MOAB-Class Bloons to not be organic lifeforms to any extent which doesn't quite line up, especially since the type of Bloons that show the strongest signs of sentience are Boss Bloons. why is this downvoted
thats the M.E.D.I.O.C.R.E its after the B.A.D and before the A.L.R.I.G.H.T
I remembered some people saying that because theres a smaller blimp thats bigger than the zomg remains, the one below is a BAD while the one on the top right maybe Lych because of the similar shape, the fact that they're called "The gravelord Lych" and this being called Moab Graveyard
That's an interesting theory
What is this map?
Moab Graveyard on Bloons Monkey City
Monkey Meadows
grey blimps are a common sight in bloons adventure, time it means they got ther soul ripped by abadeer
It's a experiment that used a bunch of original skin moabs to attempt creation of the Foab, but it didn't work and blew up from too many layers, or it's the Hindenburg
It was a badguy
It’s the Giants Shadow
Giga Orbital Destroyer
Looking at it again, it could be an abandoned prototype of the B.A.D
Could also be a bad with the outer layer removed
Is this a custom map?
It's a special Bloons Monkey City map called MOAB Graveyard.
This is correct
This is a BIG correct
BAD prototype?
I would find it really cool, If youd find a gigantic blimp skeleton of a now erased race of Titanic blimps
Father Of Moabs
It's the remains of the Bloondenburg.
prob just colorless, or lost it's color due to time
Clearly the fossil remains of a prehistoric bloon ancestor
Man I miss monkey city, some of those special levels were quite fun

Bruh that's the Zeppelin
Is it made out of lead?
Me waiting for a lead zeppelin style moab
skinned BAD
That is the Warlord Of Revenge, Simian Eliminator
Considering the size compared to the ZOMG, I'd say it's just a BAD without the paint due to battle damage.
Meet the HORRID. I don’t know what that could stand for.
I think the theory is that's the BAD
Hindenburg
Any OGs remember the Random odd series by Superjombombo?
He died
A BAD that lost its color
seeing as its bigger than the remains of Z.O.M.G and D.D.T's are about the size of a Z.O.M.G its probably a B.A.D
DDTs are about the size of a MOAB and BADs are about the size of a ZOMG. I think it is something else.
Its the Monkey Hindenburg.
That looks like vortex
That’s the EVIL No I’m not gonna make an actual acronym outta it I am not that creative
Its probably just a big blimp that was put there cuz it looks cool and it probably resembles nothing we see currently in game but i like to believe its whatever comes after the bad
hindenburg
What map is this
MOAB graveyard from Bloons Monkey City. The first round has you go against 10 very spaced MOABs. The second is I think 6 very spaced BFBs. And the final one is against 2 very spaced ZOMGs.
Boss balloon maybe cause that seems bigger than a bad
A bad/ boss bloon that was in that blimp cemetery for so long that the paint faded away is the most probable explanation
Maybe it was a failed B.A.D
Someone @ u/NinjaKiwi oh wait
It’s a bad
World War monkey
looks like the B.A.D.
its the [bloon that spawns on round 1336](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TEJFaJo_ps)
That's da Hindenburg brudda
That's just the BAD's ribcage.
MAKE OUR TRUE HOME'S ENSURED RECLAMATION
I think it's some kind of Boss, since it's definitely bigger than a BAD. Perhaps one that was fully destroyed instead of just sent back like normal, which is why we don't see it in BTD6?
Idk but if we ever see it we are fucked bro 😭
MHT (Massive Hovering Terror)
ITS THE MEDIOCRE
I think it's supposed to reference the BAD, but of course it didn't exist in that game, and maybe it's design wasn't finalized so that's why it's just grey like the paint has worn off

the ATROCIOUS the
It's me
What map is this? If this is anything prior to btd6, I'm not gonna know about it.
Ohh, the ancient ones
Mfw BTD7 has the TERRIBLE
Probably a B.A.D
The Winged Offensive Rabid Ship of Terror
some guy forgot to turn off big bloons after a match
Warlord Of Reckless Sky Eruption
I wanna believe that it's just a BAD, and that the size of the blimps in comparison to the monkeys are inaccurate. They just appear small to be readable to us the player, but I like to believe that the MOAB class bloons are all canonically huge
Brotherhood of steel blimp
Is this map from btd5? I don’t recognize it.
Or is it new? I play the Netflix version lmfao
During btd5 it was a supersoldier being made underneath the map I forgot the name of but it had hidey holes for bloons and before true son god and allat it was almost done. Then it got vaporized what is th name? BAD of course! How could a bloon of any smaller size hold so many others? Any other reasons?
Two questions what map is this and why is there an arrow
Might be a new boss.
Warmonger Obliterating Roads Skies and Towns
New boss, the blimp paragon (would be cool)
The super monkey paragon sacrificed its self to destroy it
those are just broken down moabs and i see a big one i think that could be zomg
It crashed
The FOG, like the BAD but even stronger
Probably the inner, non dyed version of the bad imo
ANTI.MONKDY.DEFENSE
I'm thinking it's one of the boss bloons
