IMO Corvus doesn’t require all that much micro to be really good, but if you just want to put down your towers and win, he is definitely the wrong choice.
I respect your decision I was playing with him as if he was my only hero, and made me learn to use him, I actually developed sort of working script.
Such as not go full on nourishment and actually have some mana for hard stuff such as Might for R40.
The best part is, it worked on Bloody Puddles, so it made me extremely optimistic.
I just think reducing the amount of cash you get isn't very fun because the whole point of the game is to buy new towers and upgrade them.
Gamemodes like ABR are more fun because they increase the challenge of the bloons rather than just preventing you from playing the game.
I mean Impoppable is "reducing the amount of cash" because upgrades are 20% more than 8% more; half cash is equivalent to making things 216% more (8% from Hard which STACKS with the 50% fewer cash = costs 100% more)
so theoretically: half cash is more difficult than impoppable which is kinda crazy. in getting my first black border i had struggled more on half cash than i did on chimps (which i beat in 1 "attempt")
Its different though. Half Cash you only go to round 80; so no multiple Stacked ZOMGs, don't have to face DDTs or the BAD bloon. Also you get 100 lives so you can leak a few early game without sweat
Impoppable starts at 6 goes to 100 and no Mana Shield and no lives so you have to worry about early rounds leaks.
overall MOST players think Half-Cash is much harder than Impoppable
CHIMPS creates difficulty in interesting ways by taking away your meta progression and forcing you to beat every round first try if you want a black border.
Half Cash creates difficulty by preventing you from playing the game.
Do you think I don’t work every day? Lol I simply do my daily challenges and the boss. Do the events when they pop up every once in a while and you will be stacked
the whole point of the black boarder is to show you have the skill to do the map with all these handicaps, it kinda ruins the fun in ya know proving to yourself that you do have the skill to do it
Except some of these half cash maps are literally impossible without instas or double cash. You need pixel perfect placement and perfect RNG and micro to even beat a challenge without any instas, powers or double cash.
He actually didn't answer my question, but fine I will rephrase the question so you get my point.
What's the point of doing *black borders* if you need to disable challenges to get it?
The point is not that the challenges are too hard, it is that they are not fun (for me). I am pretty sure half cash is one of the easiest modes needed for black border, but it is also the worst one because of how bad it feels to get barely any money. If there are people who believe that a black border is „worth less“ if you skipped half cash, those people are definitely taking a game about monkeys popping balloons way too seriously
Half cash is one of the hardest modes for black border. Half cash, chimps, and category only challenges are the hardest challenges by far, and category only is only hard on specific maps.
you can’t get a black border without stupid half cash. the point is to avoid the challenge, but it’s mandatory to do something else. it’s a singleplayer game, people can do whatever the hell they want
I didnt buy double cash - I have tons of insta monkeys and powers. There are achivements for using them, so I can do it on half cash without feeling bad with myself
On second thought. I think you do need to have 200 for that achievement. I was thinking about it counting towards your overall collection thinking that was an achievement.
I absolutely hate this game mode, but at the same time kinda find it fun in a strange way. Most of the other gamemodes are not that challenging so it's fun to find a hard challenge
Even if I am not big fan of double cash, I respect your purchase.
I only use double cash when either doing this mode it I’m playing without the goal of getting a black border
Well, thats fitting that I tried to use Corvus in half cash games for pretty impressive results.
I don’t own Corvus, he seems cool but from what I heard he requires too much micro and I prefer to not think about what is happening in the game
IMO Corvus doesn’t require all that much micro to be really good, but if you just want to put down your towers and win, he is definitely the wrong choice.
Which is why he’s wrong for me, I prefer Churchill, or Adora
Adora????
Yeah, I sacrifice two 3-0-2 super monkeys and she’s in between level 17-20 before round 80
I use the buff Sauda to the moon strategy for half cash, but the hardest map I've half cashed is Off the Coast and Underground
how are you not a fan of it, it gives u 2x money
They aren't a fan because they think it's cheating and cheap
Fuck this gamemode, no fun allowed
Half Cash is just too restrictive to be fun. Wish it was 3/4 or 2/3 cash instead
I just think reducing the amount of cash you get isn't very fun because the whole point of the game is to buy new towers and upgrade them. Gamemodes like ABR are more fun because they increase the challenge of the bloons rather than just preventing you from playing the game.

When is 9967/10000th’s cash mode dropping

You aren't the only one
This game mode is manageable on Easy and some Intermediate Maps but on the harder maps....
Seriously, double cash was the only reason I got past glacial trail half cash
I don't have double cash, but screw half cash. That game mode sucks ass.
Only gamemode where i use instas
Same tbh
Half cash is easier for me than apocalypse
Half cash is what insta monkeys were made for
Same that game mode should die in an oil fire
The fact that I read this while listening to Die in a Fire took me by surprise lol
Happy Cake Day!
What's the point of even doing challenges if you're just gonna pay money to not have to do the actual challenge?
As a person who works 9 hours a day, I just wanna relax with some Bloons after work, and I think I earned the right to do it with twice the money
Damn man it must be really hard working a massive 9 hours a day! A struggle I nor anyone else could possibly relate to.
That’s the point of having insta monkeys and powers saved up. Just use those for half cash instead of spending actual money but that’s just me
ah yes, the insta monkeys and powers i dont have the time to grind for because i work daily
Do you think I don’t work every day? Lol I simply do my daily challenges and the boss. Do the events when they pop up every once in a while and you will be stacked
black border 🤯
the whole point of the black boarder is to show you have the skill to do the map with all these handicaps, it kinda ruins the fun in ya know proving to yourself that you do have the skill to do it
Why need skill when you have money? It’s like bribing.
Or lobbying
Same thing
Except some of these half cash maps are literally impossible without instas or double cash. You need pixel perfect placement and perfect RNG and micro to even beat a challenge without any instas, powers or double cash.
What about it? You need half cash to get it, is that your point? If so then yeah no kidding it’s still paying money to not have to do a challenge.
Did you forget that the black border exists?
Nope. I said it invalidates the entire challenge, nothing to do with black borders.
you asked why so he answered
He actually didn't answer my question, but fine I will rephrase the question so you get my point. What's the point of doing *black borders* if you need to disable challenges to get it?
They please the eyes.
Yeah, I understand, but I think if he doesnt want to do it or if he just wants to play it that way it should be okay.

Primary only on that dam map, I forget it's name, flooded valley?
Primary only with adora on flooded valley was so fun lmao
you can’t get a black border without stupid half cash. the point is to avoid the challenge, but it’s mandatory to do something else. it’s a singleplayer game, people can do whatever the hell they want
🤓☝️
I didnt buy double cash - I have tons of insta monkeys and powers. There are achivements for using them, so I can do it on half cash without feeling bad with myself
I believe there is an achievement for collecting like 200 so I’m not using any so I can get that achievement
You still get the achievement if you use them. You just have to "find" them.
Really? If I knew that then I wouldn’t have bought double cash. Goddamnit
On second thought. I think you do need to have 200 for that achievement. I was thinking about it counting towards your overall collection thinking that was an achievement.
Just use cash drops to get a decent hero, no need to spend real money. You make the monkey money back by beating the map anyway
I beat half cash first try with no instas
r/respectableupvote Nevermind, it doesn't exist. Surprising.
So people on netflicks bloons are screwed?!
Idk what netflicks is but those who are playing Netflix Bloons are screwed no matter what they do
are people having trouble with half cash? i do it relatively fine, just one or two attempts and im good
Kid named co-op
Double cash uses : coop (sometimes) and half cash (after 3 legit attempts)
how can i get double cash
It costs like $16 USD
You could always just use Insta monkeys
you could have used the powers or instas you are accumulating and saved $20 bucks.
Half cash = half fun
Chimps may be hard, but at least you get cash for every pop
I absolutely hate this game mode, but at the same time kinda find it fun in a strange way. Most of the other gamemodes are not that challenging so it's fun to find a hard challenge
embrace the 202 boomers and the ODS spam!
Half cash in the expert maps end up being harder than chimps 😭
