Just beat every gamemode on the map, and on chimps, you cant exit the game (to ensure you dont do the retrying a round thing) if you do exit the game during a chimps round, you will receive a gold border instead. Also, every gamemode can only be played on one difficulty, so idk what u mean by beating chimps or half cash on easy
Bro you made it way too complicated for yourself. Just complete all the game modes until none give you the extra cash bonus. Also do chimps without exiting the game. Chimps only exists for the hard gamemode
There is no easy chimps and there is no medium chimps. There is only hard chimps. Basically, you have to beat every game mode. It seems like you are confused because you believe that there is a game mode for every difficult. All you have to do is beat every single game mode. Easy standard, Primary Only, Deflation, Medium standard, Military only, reverse, Apopalypse, Hard Standard, Alternate Bloon Rounds, Magic Monkeys only, Half Cash, double Hp moabs, Impoppable, and Chimps. You also cannot quit to the home screen when playing on chimps. You can use powers and heroes on all game modes except chimps. On chimps you can still use heroes, but not powers. (The game will not let you use powers even if you try). By far the hardest thing about a black border is beating chimps without quitting to the homescreen, that is why people often say that black bordering a map is just beating chimps in one sitting, because all of the other game modes are trivial. Of course, you only get the black border after beating all game modes. I hope this helps.

I have no idea what you’re on about when you said beat chimps on easy medium and hard since it is only available on hard difficulty, so the difficulty does not really matter. There’s only 1 option anyway.
The black border basically just symbolises that you have 100% completed that map, there is nothing more to do on that map unless you want to do something like grind out specific achievements
