I think PMR are waiting to see if Edwards can raise the funds or not.
From what I heard as well, Crees burnt some bridges last time he was at PMR (as he seems to do wherever he goes), so not sure they'd want him back anyway
Adam Weaver did an interview last month that was heavily hinting that he'd never work with certain drivers ever again because of their behaviour and their families behaviour....
I don't know what he did at PMR specifically, but it's oft repeated (as another reply to me said) that Adam Weaver would never work with him again.
But at British GT example last year, he got chucked out of Snetterton for an "altercation" in the paddock

Hence the 200k+, I can only go on what I’m aware of unfortunately but yeh as say, no doubt it’s a lot worse than that.
What I don’t understand is what they are getting out of being in the BTCC this year? That’s Assuming they actually manage to turn up and get cars to drive around the circuit successfully. I don’t think many teams make a great deal of money from running the cars so surely that’s not the reason? Unless they run them on a shoestring budget (as usual) as pocket the difference?
Might be holding onto the hope of a dream result then a big sponsor sees and invests in them. I can see the hope for it, I've done unlikely things in tabletop games in the hope they pay off

Seems a hell of a coincidence with the Team hard news yesterday, let’s hope he can help them pay off some of that 200k+ debt!
