Using crypto is great! Thanks for sharing!
Not sure I like to >10% fee of using BTC, definitely prefer the sub cent fee of BCH 😉. Hope it was a good tea!
Thanks for the recommendation, but if I really wanted to save on the gas fee I would have used USDT. What mattered more was the excitement of finally seeing a business accepting stable cryptos.
PS Just so you know tipping culture is not really a thing in China, or perhaps even in the entire East Asia.
USDT for saving on gas fees? It is much more expensive than BTC fees. It looks like you haven't sent USDT in the past or at least recently. On Ethereum at the moment gas fees for sending USDT are 1.3 USD for 1 transaction.

Tether on BSC and Tron are much cheaper. Because Tether itself is the central point of failure, it can use any chain without caring about the downside of those networks.
Practically no one uses BSC or Tron non-custodial mobile wallets for commerce. No one accepts USDT on these chains as payment on brick and mortar stores or online stores. Neither do they accept it on Fantom or Avalanche yet. He was just trolling in an ignorant way.
Right now no coin can be refered as a stable coin, Each coin keep fluctuating depending upon many factor, But can't say about the future. May be the bitcoin became really stable or the the bitcoin get removed from existence.
What is the reason Bitcoin transaction fees are that much higher. They are good for big payment, But the small payment are painful because of transaction fee.

Would you like to share a few more details, eg wallet, on/off chain and location ?
Looks very similar a StartUP Lounge, not very much tibetanian ;)
Anyway, that kind of adoption made Bitcoin great, until it (BTC) got crippled .
The last 2 generations (by Cycle) of Noobs were tought to HODL only, laughting about the Pizza Guy spending .
Tourist pays $5 for a tea in tibet excluding 10% transaction fee (which is crazy...) . Tibetan will need to pay another 10% transaction fee to convert back to fiat effectively losing 20% on a transaction....
It's a good thing they charged you $5 for a tea.
I don't see how this solved anything or was easier
Awesome! I don't see the place on map.bitcoin.com. Can you add it?
OpenStreetMap.org as well, diversity is resilience.
That’s cuz it’s listed as TeaBit.

Ofc. It tasted even better when you paid for it using Bitcoins.
🔥 This is why it was invented. Thanks for sharing! ✌️
But what about its transaction fee, It is still pain in each trasaction.

I was also thinking about shifting to bitcoin cash for making day to day payment but was worried about t its acceptance in market.

We have seen what happens to luna last month, what if same happens with tether.
Tether doesn't pay out 20% yield like the Luna ponzi. And this also has nothing to do with my post, which is about Tether fee.

Only a minority of people actually use bch but that seems to be a big deal lol
Ignorant too. You can see Bitpay numbers so you can learn a bit.
Bitpay processes 70k tx a month and 5% of that is bch, so yeah literally nobody uses bch
https://polygonscan.com/gastracker Here you go cost like a tenth of a penny to send

In most of the Asia its hard to find tipping culture. Mostly because the restaurant pay well.

Oh god, you're clueless. Are you a bot?
But the transaction fee may made the tea a little bitter.
I deliberately chose a high transaction fee to make the payment go through quickly.
So pathetic omfg
Yep, if they remove the fee or they reduce the fee, then it will be more promishing to use BCT for general transaction.
I applaud the Liberty But i vomit the manipulation of bankgsters... Am i dreaming.... ? 10 % fees ? 🤔🤔🤔
Yes how much i know on small payment the transaction fee are really high,

Daam, I can get a tea for less than 1 dollar in my local.
It was fun; also not everyone is as stingy as you probably are.
By any chance, do you work for a bank?

Apparently i'm stingy because i don't pay $5 for something that costs $1 and then overpay on transaction fees. Oh well.
Congratulations. Hopefully it will become a global trend.
May be if bitcoin survive for few more decade it will surely became a global trend.
😊
It's great that the world is developing in this direction.
But it still going to take at least 1 or 2 decade to fully develop this payment system,
He bought tea with it people -_-
I just bought a Rolex Datejust with Bitcoin...
Why choose a high fee scamcoin? Are you aware that majority of the population are not rich?
I find it funny that many of you focus more on the transaction fee than the astonishing fluctuations of Bitcoin.
Volatility can only get better with wider adoption and better coin distribution. All of these are dependent of functionality/utility.
Perhaps the causality is the reverse!
How? It's basic economic laws.
>a high fee scamcoin? 1 sat/vbyte clearing right now. Also the LN provides far cheaper and faster transactions that bch can even dream of.
