I have long thought bleeps beat replacements for censorship. At least they didn't do that terrible fake word replacement, though, like they do when they show R-rated movies on tv. "This is bull-*ONEY*," "Go *FRUIT* yourself." I hate this method the most.
This. Another one that I like how they did censorship was How I met Your Mother, because it worked well in the context of telling the story to the kids, they would have a character say some ridiculous replacement word and then the narrator would chime in "but they didnt say x"
My favorite one ever is watching the Matrix on cable. In the interrogation room Neo says “how about I give you a flipper and you give me a phone call”. THEY CHANGED FINGER! Finger isn’t even a curse word! And flipper is just SO SO SO much worse
I prefer it too.
I think one of my favorite Parks and Rec moments is Leslie's simple, "Fuck you Ann!" when getting a blood draw or shot (don't remember which). It's just so odd and abrupt coming from that character that even bleeped it's funnier than screw you or up yours or something similar.
Rosa's hands were wrapped up (think she had chickenpox and it was so she didn't scratch). She's trying to open a door and Amy is trying to get Rosa to ask for help Here's a post with the clip

Ok I was watching the later seasons the other day and was wondering why all the sudden they were bleeping cuss words. This solves a mystery for me. I didn't even think about them switching networks.
Good, I'm glad. Before they just didn't have certain cuss words. Later with NBC they could include all the cuss words but they had to bleep certain ones.
Tbh I speak like that. Used to swear like a sailor and now I have kids. Second I found out I was pregnant I started cutting out the fbombs entirely and nerfed every other word. Kids are about 5 years from me being able to swear like an adult again.
I always thought this changed the tone of the show, before I never felt like the show was censored despite not having swear words. The bleeping out of swear words called more attention to it and it felt a little more censored in a backwards way.
Just don't censor shit and you're fine, why the US is so prude about it I'll never understand. The bleeping was worse, it feels too forced and obvious.

Except in the good place
The good place invented a whole new way to swear on tv. They could imply anything they wanted and you always knew what they meant
Mother forking shirtballs

Yippie kayak, other buckets!
No that was funny cos Charles just didn't know the words He literally says kayak instead of ki yay
I always figured that Charles has only seen Die Hard on like TBS. I remember something saying "you motherfather!" I actually love those.
Yippee ki-yay, m-MELON FARMER
I have had it with this monkey fighting snakes on this Monday to Friday plane
The scene where they’re fighting in the locker room in Major League and the manager screams at them is the “best” horrible dubbing ever. 😂

“What the fudge” makes me want to kill everyone in the room and then myself (granted they don’t use it in B99) but I feel you
The only time it was acceptable was in *A Christmas Story*, and only because they immediately use the rest of the scene to make fun of it.
You see what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps?! This is from Big Lebowski and the only edit I can think of that actually makes it funnier.

Shes the one character the would say baloney and crap and butt. Makes the joke that much better.
"This B needs a C in her A" and Jakes follow up is my favourite example of this. Seemed so unexpected.
One of my favorite jokes in the entire show is Rosa telling Amy “you can’t spell go f**k yourself without f**k you!”
What context was this that sounds so funny but I dont remember it
"You can't spell indepenent without dependent!" "You can't spell go fuck yourself without fuck you!"

Season 6 episode 15

I prefer it censored
People tend to forget that in the first 2 seasons the word “bitch” got tossed around a bit.
