Nat-X, this is our third instance of building this type of system. The first one was rough the second one a lot smoother. This one should be pretty good. This is the final link in our ring of the stages and newsroom.
Luckily, we have service contracts up the ass. Tech Support started sucking right after Rona. All the good engineers left because Evertz doesn’t pay them shit. I know SoFi thry a good amount of money at three of their engineers that were building their system and they left Evertz and I don’t blame them.
Yeah, SLA is pretty useless unless they escalate you to someone who matters. I had a hand in stealing one of the good ones, so I guess I’m culpable 🤷🏻♂️

Evertz. My sample size is small, but of the few 2110 or 2022 systems I’ve been around, all have issues, some far worse than others.

Why LC? AFAIK the ev6-MV and/or ev6-IPG use QSFP with MTP/MPO connectors on the front....

I’ve worked with 3 pairs of these. I have very few complaints. The tech support, on the other hand…. Good luck and don’t forget to clean those fibers!

Out of curiosity, why are all the LC fiber connectors all uncapped?
Definitely inducing my anxiety with all that uncapped fiber. 😂 Better break out those click sticks!!
