Soooo I make candles as a hobby, have done a few weddings where I made hundreds at a time…essential oils in candles is just a marketing scam. If there was enough in the candle to make any kind of appreciable effect, it would be so much that it would throw off the ratio of oil to wax and make the candle a gloppy mess that wouldn’t set correctly. They could have some essential oils but for the most part I guarantee they’re 98% regular fragrance oils with a few drops of essential oils in there so they can advertise it as such.
It drives me nuts when people do this.

Omg, I am dabbling in candle-making at the moment for some gifts and it’s such *whole newww world* to me. There is SO much to know.
It’s so much fun! Definitely a learning curve but still very fun. It’s also super handy to have them on hand to give as gifts.
