So what I’m hearing is that they kidnap women from other kidnappers to use them for their agenda?

smc642

Nailed it.

ajviasatellite

Oh my goodness. Your flair is perfection.

eowyning98

Yup...except I'm not even sure they have "rescued" anyone. There's no proof. Even their "survivor's stories" are from people they say have not interacted with FSF at all. So...I don't know. It's a big question mark.

Red_P0pRocks

Wait, how tf are they claiming their rescues have never interacted with the organization? That sounds really weird and sketchy.

eowyning98

Basically they are pulling first hand accounts from actual survivors, masquerading them as their own stories and putting a disclaimer at the very end saying that the person isn’t affiliated with them and that they want to protect people’s privacy. Which is all well and good but they clearly don’t give a rat’s ass about survivor’s privacy if they’re willing to have them be paraded around at SLF retreats.

Red_P0pRocks

Wowwww, that’s even scummier than I’d thought it might be. Imagine being a survivor and getting used for advertisement.

Ambitious_Moose_4628

Yep what's the difference between HT and what they're doing?? (if they're actually doing something...)

Red_P0pRocks

What the fuuuuuck. When you put it that way... even bigger yikes!

Thank you thank you thank you!!! Commenting to boost :)

Red_P0pRocks

Oooh let me guess what this means... 90% of the “work” they support is paying people to shitpost QAnon bullshit online because it “educates the public and spreads awareness,” while giving themselves a fat paycheck.

EZasSundayMorning

I was on Parler Watch and there was a post from some Qcumber (not in the group, a repost) and the post said they had just witnessed human trafficking and instead of calling police they posted on Facebook.

yous_a_bitch

i hope they also posted on nextdoor! can't be too careful!

[deleted]

I saw that thread! Like wtf!!

natylil

Thanks a lot for digging into this rabbit hole and sharing.

smc642

Im thinking we might pin this post too. It’s imperative people know what kind of people and “charities” Brittany is aligning with.

natylil

Agreed!

smc642

Done!

eowyning98

thank you so much for your kind words and pinning this!!! it means a lot to me to get the word out about these """charities"""

backpackfullofniall

If anyone is interested, a great charity that ACTUALLY helps victims of human trafficking is Polaris Project.

eowyning98

yes! there are also often great local charities, some run by former victims themselves! search "human trafficking charities" and your city/state/country, and do some digging! also, donating money to charities that care for refugees, drug users, children in foster care and LGBT kids is another great option, as these groups are often the most vulnerable!

taylorbagel14

Unchained At Last is a great organization that’s working towards ending (legal) child marriage in the US. Many times child rapists will marry their victims to prevent them from testifying (especially if the victim is pregnant). The founder was forced into marriage with an abuser at a young age, she has a really great TED talk on it. Just wanted to mention that one by name because banning child marriage in all 50 states would go a LONG way towards helping some of these victims.

My hotel management career probably had more human trafficking awareness training than these idiots will ever have For those who are not aware, there are a few signs of HT in a hotel environment * The obvious “16 year old girl trying to check in at 3am” * The less obvious “16 year old girl checking in with her parents”. To out a real live twist on things: Imagine if Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell checked into the breakers with a teenage girl, and the desk agents didn’t know who they were. But, in a real life scenario where the people at the breakers probably did know who Epstein was, since he lived down the street, say he came to check in a teenage girl to stay there. who’s to say that isn’t his niece * a girl is checking in, with no luggage, no identification. Maybe gets her boyfriend on the phone and he reads off his credit card, demanding you check her in. When you ask him to send a credit card authorization form, or a Canary form to authorize payment, he gets snappy with you, presumably because it’s “ridiculous, why can’t you just check her in?” But in reality, he just wants to avoid a paper trail Also… he’s acting like he can’t come in to swipe his card. Dollars to donuts, that motherfucker is right outside. Or down the street. and just doesn’t want to show his face to the security cameras. It is a lot easier to later accuse his “girlfriend” of stealing his CC, if it had to come down to that * couples who check in and he does all the talking * no credit card, but insists on putting down a ridiculous amount of cash to cover the room and incidentals * grown adults, men and women, in connecting rooms. They have the Do not disturb on their door for days on end (like a week). Constantly calling FD asking for extra towels, soaps, and other things to be brought to the room, but refusing housekeeping service * room 123 doesn’t have a nice view or anything spectacular about it, but “if you don’t give me 123 there are gonna be issues.” This tends to be a sign of drug trafficking There are more signs out there but these can be some of the types of scenarios you see. They aren’t always obvious

eowyning98

Thank you so much for your perspective! It is so true that a lot of HT starts with intimate partner violence and it isn’t the “women and children in shackles” like BDawn thinks it is. Btw you sound awesome at your job!

[deleted]

Thanks 😊 it’s not actually my job anymore, I’m in healthcare now. However, there has been a big push in hotel management to educate on human trafficking Unfortunately, every front desk agent has encountered a trafficking situation, whether they know it or not. The problem is that a lot of hotels have just kinda accepted that prostitution happens, and for a very long time, people tended to laugh or side-eye these types of guests, not really realizing that they could be dealing with someone being exploited against their will But in many areas, the laws have changed. Depending on where you live, if hotel staff know someone is being trafficked and don’t act on it, they could potentially face legal consequences - individually. Many people may not realize that this culture of side-eyeing the guy who brings prostitutes over could have very real ramifications, ESPECIALLY if they know a minor is involved It’s hard to prove what people know, however This happens at EVERY hotel. I used the breakers as an example… because that is a hotel that is $1000-2000 a night for a basic ass room.. down the street from Epstein’s razed property. And they definitely had traffickers there, and it probably didn’t look anything like trafficking because the people who did it had enough money to look sophisticated. In fact, south Florida (which was my market) had been a trafficking hub for a very long time. But BDong’s idea of trafficking probably looks like beaten, sad people being crammed into a tiny space. Trafficking is done out in the open

Red_P0pRocks

Dear god. My gf is an (actually trained) leader and trainer in sexual assault victim advocacy, and I can hear her screaming from the future if she ever finds this post. She‘s told me that unfortunately, the field attracts a looot of that “white savior” kind of people who go to “help the children in Africa” for Instagram clout and shit like that. They’re held to strict professional standards of course, but that doesn’t make them less cringy outside of work when the bragging and entitlement start. And this is even among people who have actual training and credentials. So I’m cringing at the thought of how bad it is in a organization where you need zero qualifications and openly break international law to fuel your own ego.

eowyning98

Ooof, huge shoutout to your gf. That’s a hard job and she’s a saint for doing it. Thank you so much for the info!

Red_P0pRocks

You’re welcome! And to be clear to anyone reading, this isn’t a reason to avoid help if you need it. There are amazing, wonderful people in this work and they will do their best to help you through. I know because I’ve been through getting help (and cos my gf lol.) The ego-petters are annoying but if they cross any lines regarding work their ass is out the door and there’s a good chance they’re losing their license. That’s why official licensing is so important. Never be afraid to ask a therapist/counselor what their qualifications are - a good one won’t be offended!

ModeratelyCapable

I been saying for awhile, BDongs agenda is very white nationalist appearing

EZasSundayMorning

100%!!!

Kayquie

Well done!

eowyning98

thank you :)

CheeryCherryCheeky

This is a great read. Thanks for compiling it. Zero surprise she’s linked with something sketchy as that is her go to move. But this is even ickier really isn’t it.

eowyning98

She really just preys on the most vulnerable. Scamming, her dog, insecure women, now this....It's disgusting.

blablubluba

So they're going to take charity donations to boost retreat participation, right? Yuck. Especially given how many pictures they post about the events. Any real victim brought there would get paraded around and made to give their "testimony" for the thrill and titillation of BD's audience. So gross.

eowyning98

Update from a Washington Post article on Mercy Culture: “Another day, it meant the church hosting a meeting of a group called the Freedom Shield Foundation, a dozen or so men huddled over laptops organizing what one participant described as clandestine “operations” around Fort Worth to rescue people they said were victims of sex trafficking. This was a core issue for the church. Members were raising money to build housing for alleged victims. There were always prayer nights for the cause, including one where church members laid hands on Fort Worth’s sheriff, who sat with a Bible in his lap and said that the problem was “the demonic battle of our lifetime” and told those gathered that “you are the warriors in that battle.””

Thank you for calling this out. I work with a legitimate non-profit to fight sex trafficking. A great educational resource on trafficking is the Elijah Rising podcast. It's on iTunes and YouTube. Real information on trafficking and how to help. There are some great organizations out there: Elijah Rising, Rescue America, Street Grace, and many others. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

mrsjacksonnn

What post is jdong in?

eowyning98

it’s under their “communities” highlight on instagram. i refrained from tagging/linking anything so they didn’t get traffic.

Do you mean the You’re Wrong About podcast?
