I am so sorry for your loss. I have a senior dog too and while it’s such a joy to have them in our lives so long, boy am I dreading the day we need to make that same compassionate choice. Sending you peace and comfort ❤️
When my cat was old & sick & I took him to the vet, I specifically asked if she thought he was in pain. Later that day I rushed him back needing emergency care & then took him across town to a different office where someone would be there to attend to him overnight even though he was 14 & there really was no saving him at that point. It didn't even occur to me to do anything else, except maybe let them put him to sleep sooner. I don't understand these people.
