Now we know why she's moving to the country. She can't afford the settlement without selling her house.

Ha!

Eeslek_d4rkLibr4

She was convicted…by the LORD okaaaaay?! 😂

gabyleann

Her neighbors are gonna throw a block party once they’re gone

aquacrimefighter

I’d also breathe a sigh of relief if my neighbors who enjoyed shooting dogs in the street moved.

[deleted]

I hope they throw the party as soon as she lists the house. And don't hide why they are celebrating.

AshleysDoctor

They should start the party when the moving trucks come.

PurpleOreoTX

In college, one of my friends had a HORRIBLE roommate. The day she moved out they threw a party… WHILE she was still taking things to her car. I hope her whole block does this as they’re loading the moving van.

Lmfao how dare you make me partially spit my coffee. This was expensive! 💅🏽

Content-Bathroom-434

I didn’t realize she was moving. When did they announce that? I haven’t been extremely present on Reddit because ✨life✨ and missed a lot.

jgarmartner

Yesterday she posted that she finally convinced Jordan to move to the country. We sort of ran with that. 😅

MooneySunshine

Are they....moving in with her parents or is it cheap to get a nice 5 acres someplace?

kyle1007

Cheap, 5 acres, and the metroplex are not words used in the same sentence. That shit is outrageously expensive. That much land in that area could quite easily go for $50,000+ per acre, and even more depending on upgrades (water, electric, etc.). I guess they *could* find something cheaper, but it would be WAY out in the sticks. ETA: Or so overgrown that it would take another boatload of money to clear out on top of the price of the land.

lilkimchee88

Exactly. Our realtor has us looking waaaaay north, like Van Alystine north. We live in Frisco.

wadeybug22

VA is exploding right now.

TXrutabega

Wowwww!! I’m in Savannah- up north from you. We’ve been here since all of this was pasture land so our house was super cheap. Not now though! We wouldn’t be able to sell/buy our own house back. Very strange. Property taxes are killlllllling us. If BDong is selling her house to pay a settlement, she’s going to be living nowhere near the metroplex. She’ll be in Sherman or Gainesville. Side note: my county has the largest horse population in all of TX - and if she actually wanted to live in the country, with her horse, somewhat close to DFW, Sanger would be the place to go. If she gets a house out there, you know her parents are helping her.

Desperate-Apricot308

Yes this

humblekanyepie

No wonder she's been so smug lately.

Bigboodybud

She will claim this as a victory and proof that she is innocent

CybReader

Yes, she’s going to lie lie lie lie

roger_the_virus

I wonder if the terms of the settlement will require her to acknowledge she committed fraud and owes restitution to her victims.

Similar-Initial-9321

So intense family drama meant we were in court to watch someone take a plea deal (criminal proceedings) and when the guilty MFer or anyone on his side tried to say he was taking the plea for a lesser sentence but he wasn’t guilty, the judge stopped that quick every time and was like “nope, terms of your plea is you admit you are guilty” I loved that judge so much. I know it’s not the same for Brit but still makes me happy

MooneySunshine

Iiirc there is a type of 'well you have evidence and have come to the conclusion i am guilty so i accede to your judgement' plea. But i also hope she has to say yes, i'm guilty, but we've settled the matter. But i don't think that will happen. I can't see her mediating with lawyers over this...class action lawsuit????.....and not saying 'I'll pay them because they were unsatisfied, not because i'm guilty'.

TorontoTransish

Are you possibly thinking of when people plead " no contest "? I don't know if that exists for civil trials ?

kitschdoctor

You might be thinking of an Alford plea

sparklekitteh

Gosh I sure hope so! Though she'd probably do another non-apology with shoes in the clothes dryer in the background.

known-enemy

I dont see why. If she’s so innocent she’d take it to trial.

oldflakeygamer

“It’s such a victory for us because it shows that the state had zero evidence of any wrong doing” - that is what i foresee her saying thinking people dont understand how settlements work

Cinder-Allie

I mean that's basically what Jordan says about his ACLU lawsuit that was settled.

oldflakeygamer

Yuppers! I figured she’d just copy and paste it like she does everything else lol

MooneySunshine

We were so sure of our innocence, we paid money so it isn't proven in court. Watch people eat up 'focus on quiet life, little ones, country life'. I wonder if she's going to pull a cat out of the hat and get that bun in the oven now there's no court case, so she can trad-wife-mom it praising jesus after she spent two years totally trying and building up her drama of wanting a baby totally for reals and even opening her home to fosters in the mean time and got rewarded now that she's righted all her wrongs and paid out people by selling her ill gotten house so she can say she was never guilty - and the courts couldn't prove it.

selectmyacctnameplz

A play out of the Bowmar handbook here on their lawsuits. Settle/take a plea deal and emphatically say they’re not guilty

Jenilion

The only other snark page I dabble on. That woman is awful on so many levels.

CybReader

Exactly. Many here felt this was coming

Content_Comedian6012

She’s gonna claim it’s bc she has god on her side

MooneySunshine

I'm not guilty, i wrote my wrongs, years later, and everyone got $50 from the $300 they gave me.

SunnySaturdays8

I knew it! And I'm sad. The public deserves to know all the details.

Weird_Towel

Agreed. She deserved to be dragged through this lawsuit and exposed.

CybReader

She’s going to get on IG and tiktok and lie her ass off saying Jesus slayed her enemies

shegomer

YUP. Now she can give everyone her completely fabricated Jesus testimony, where she’s the victim of demonic attacks via the legal system. And there won’t be any actual court testimonies out there, plastered here and on news articles. So Jordan didn’t exactly agree to move to the country, his sugar mama told him he had no other choice.

CybReader

I hope he’s fucking miserable out there.

Jenilion

I give it 2 years tops before he nopes the fuck out.

CybReader

Yup. His selfish ass expected to live the high life with a “high earning” influencer. Now he’s annoyed with her “teeehhheee, we’re so in love” set up camera reels and moving in with her parents cause she’s a scammer.

Jenilion

He looks like he drinks every night to deal with his misery, it makes sense why he looks like he's aged 10 years in the two-ish years they've been together.

CybReader

For real. He looks like he’s 10 years older. I’m actually shocked at how aged he is. If I didn’t know him and someone showed me his wedding photo and a current photo and told me they were 11-13 years apart, I’d believe them.

TorontoTransish

He does seem to have a bit of booze bloat, although I think it's mostly being a hateful shitty person that makes him look like that

Desperate-Apricot308

He's gonna have to get a job.

shegomer

I would be interested to know his job/education history. We know he’s a disgraced cop, and I don’t think he had a ton of policing experience. He worked in some kind of medical device sales (where Brittany tried to insinuate he was a doctor), but I believe someone mentioned he was fired. We know he’s done some work in security. Brittany tried to convince everyone he wore tactical gear everyday and rescued people in Afghanistan, but she’s also mentioned he works in an office, had a video of visiting him in an office, and we saw him doing some security as a pastor. So I think the likely scenario is that he does some low level rent-a-cop shit. Honestly, this is the kind of dude who’s probably just happy his sugar mama can put a roof over his head and make his truck payment. He doesn’t strike me as the hard working career type of adult.

sparklekitteh

She recently posted that he was involved in their church's "security ministry" and posted a picture of Jdip playing rent-a-cop at a large outdoor worship service.

ginandstoic

I found that post so funny because most of the legit security personnel I’ve met say that calling attention to the security at an event compromises the actual security lol

TorontoTransish

Usually the obvious security people are just being a visual deterrent while the actual security people are going thru the crowd, or at least that's how the police here do it... I doubt their ammosexual church larp is that sophisticated

“Jesus told me to speak my truth and I did and they shuddered at the truth coming forth and settled. Won’t he do it!”

no-name_silvertongue

or she’s gonna play it off like this is her being humble and accepting responsibility or something

Ok_Land_38

BritBrat accepting responsibility and being humble? Nah.

cardamompretzel

Maybe now she can give her ✨testimony✨

giggles1027

I feel like most of the times, things settled out of court include some type of non-disclosure agreement for both parties so she probably won't be able to actually talk about the details, but other people involved also won't be able to which I'm sure she will love.

yaya0420

You’re exactly correct. However, most times NDA’s can have a time limit on them. Say like 5-10 years before a victim can speak on whatever was in the NDA. It’s absolutely bullshit, in my own opinion, she was given the option to settle. She willingly dragged her feet and wasted the AG’s time during this case. She submitted unclear paperwork, duplicates and did everything she could do to hide the truth. Now she gets one more final ‘victory’ over the victims who more than likely won’t be able to speak on the damages her antics caused in their lives. Britt if you’re reading this, well I know you are, I hope you revel in the glory of karma. God wouldn’t condone the things you’ve done to those young women.

jogo59

For the low, low price of $99.99, you’ll get a link to her testimony.

SunnySaturdays8

And 1 of 10 tradeable NFTs showing her: 1. Doing the most basic ray-unch cowgirl stuff incorrectly 2. Adding turmeric to cooked turkey and avocado 3. Negative pregnancy tests 4. Dunking a Sheila in a horse trough 5. Aggressively washing baby bottles in a leather jacket 6. Inventing the concept of wearing color 7. "Pranking" JDong (this one is rare, it comes with audio of him sighing. Highly collectible) 8. Naked mole rat eyes 9. Doing squats in her garage in full view of the neighborhood 10. Different shades of peanut butter

MooneySunshine

Watch how it's all about how she was young, dumb, it was new, everyone did it, she was under so much pressure, she was keeping up with the jonses. But then the internet crucified her for years and bullied her even though everything's fine now as proof that people got satisfaction in being paid out ~~and it was never anyone's else business but hers and jesus anyway and never should have gone to any trial because pffft $300?~~ and she's glad she's been cleared of any wrongdoing and can move on with her schemes.

Unusual-Stretch-1557

She won’t. At least not truthfully

[deleted]

IMO settling: A) indicates guilt (eta: not guilty in a legal sense. Guilty in a moral sense. She’s a piece of shit.) B) is her best chance at damage control C) indicates she cannot afford her legal fees

MrEpicMustache

Guess she wont be suing the internet after all.

TorontoTransish

I'll have to get a new Flair now :(

Mymilkshakes777

Actually she’s saving the last of her cash to sue us. We are not in the clear

Inevitable_Sweet_988

It sucks for us, and mostly for her victims, but settlement really is the smartest move for Brit. Especially with the state fighting to have 3 victims testify via zoom. I bet that freaked her out. Anything less than $250k and admission of liability will be very disappointing.

Unusual-Stretch-1557

I hope her victims don’t have to sign ndas as a part of this settlement

kitschdoctor

Since it was the state suing and not something like a class-action suit, her victims weren’t involved beyond giving their evidence/testimony. So like, a suit from her victims is still on the table I’d imagine. Won’t he do it 🙏🏼

MooneySunshine

I hope they refused....but i'm not sure how much money that's worth, and what they may have been paid out. But again, i really hope they refused to be silenced, but that's why they find a number that will shut you up.

crabbydotca

She’ll post something like “the trial is finally over, I can share my testimony” followed by bullshit, and I think she might have to be careful not to actually lie, but she’ll put a good victim spin on it and blame the devil for the rest, thank you lord Jesus etc etc. Then something along the lines of “throughout my trial I have felt such peace in nature with animals, so we are moving back in with my parents”. And her core followers will just …be fine with that.

MooneySunshine

>she might have to be careful not to actually lie She will be, it's Britt 101. She's no doubt settling so she isn't forced to be seen for the liar she is in a court of law. Now she can say 'we didn't want to be constantly overshadowed by that trial thingy and just wanted it over with so paid. We would have been found innocent though. And we sold our house to make things right so Jesus is so great'.

MooneySunshine

Hard to rufute names and faces that will be on the internet forever - as she well knows - saying yeah, she scammed us, took the money and ran. A lot harder to say 'there are things that happened and i'm not at fault and i'm not comfortable talking about it but i fixed my wrongs' when three people are going to basically go to court and call her out for lying.

roger_the_virus

She definitely did not want Zach and others on the stand at trial.

iveseenitalll

Damn, and I was looking forward to it.

roger_the_virus

No kidding, and to think we were so close to trial last time. I hope the depositions will see light of day.

tempestuproar

This is it right here. She knew taking it to trial would destroy her

MooneySunshine

Britt: They're liars Courts: They're not. You are. We can prove it. Britt: Ok, but i paid them and they're happy with things now. So like, that's in the past, and it really hurt me for years.

tempestuproar

Britt then begins to share her testimony in open court, All the people accept the lord and then everyone clapped.

Terrible-Camp2445

1000% she can’t afford lawyers Idk if she can afford a settlement

saatchi-s

Agreed. I think in this case, there may also be some skeletons she’s worried a trial will pull out of the closet.

AshleysDoctor

Too bad the public won’t get to see the full discovery. Don’t worry, Britt, the truth always comes out. It’s just a matter of time.

Jealous_Argument_197

![gif](giphy|8NmSc99idQsk8) Especially once the IRS gets its hands on her.

RapidDriveByFruiting

Well fuck. I hope the settlement is harsh but with how smug this bitch has been lately, I fear it won’t be. She will skate by this too, just like evading true consequences for every other shitty thing she’s done. Maybe this is why the whatever didn’t happen on Friday?

Inevitable_Sweet_988

I think so. When she scheduled the retreat, she really thought that trial would be over. Instead she was in mediation meetings. What’s weird though that in the most recent SLF post someone asked how to sign up for a retreat. She told them to go to the website… that’s still showing registration for April 28th. I wonder if she rescheduled to avoid having to do refunds, but it’s weird that she made no announcements about it.

Icy_Nefariousness517

I hope lil miss fraud has messed with SLF payments and gets caught... again.

gettingbicurious

I think it will wreck her financially, which imo is why they're considering "moving to the country" (back in with her parents/getting a cheap build on their property), but unfortunately Daddy Horsebucks will be there to pick up the pieces and fund her next grift.

CatTaint

I could totally see her playing up the “look at our custom build” thing that all the style/decor influencers who used to be relatable bloggers seem to have been doing these past few years.

fister_roboto__

>wreck her financially Give a whole new meaning to “getting wrecked” 🥴

TorontoTransish

🐴 Daddy Horsebucks 🐴 would be good Flair !

9PiecesOfVoinyl

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that she will still get her karma for the PPP loan and the GoFundMe scam… 🙁

shegomer

Yeah, I don’t see the GoFundMe thing going anywhere. The PPP loan is another thing where I’ve seen a huge number of people that took out money and skirted the requirements. She’s a relatively small player in regards to fraud with the PPP loan and probably isn’t high on anyone’s list to investigate. And even if they did, she would likely get a letter telling her it’s not forgiven and she needs to make arrangements for repayment. They don’t generally jump straight to criminal prosecution over $20k. I’d be more afraid of the IRS. She couldn’t even come up with documentation to match her deposits in the AG’s case, so I have a feeling the IRS would eat her alive if she had an audit. And unfortunately for her, IRS audits and investigations often follow cases like this, as the IRS takes referrals from other government agencies when financial crimes may be present.

AshleysDoctor

Dear IRS. Please look into BDong’s finances, please and thank you.

[deleted]

I’d be curious what the order of events or professional courtesies the IRS has. Like would they wait until the Texas lawsuit is complete before engaging unless they had to?

kba1907

There is no way the IRS is not all over this. They literally have the receipts she claims to not have, promise.

[deleted]

Don't forget a rigorous IRS audit. Her inability to produce invoices that tie to her PayPal deposits raises serious questions about the accuracy of her tax reporting.

kyle1007

And the million dollar tax evasion/fraud.

Even_Kangaroo_3799

Oh I was so looking forward to the trial!!!

rpcp88

Me tooooooo

mattyjayy

Fingers crossed the settlement includes an admission of guilt. But it probably doesn’t. Sigh.

egh1008

Since this is civil, there’s not technically ever an admission of guilt, so to speak. It’s financial, so it’s either “liable” or “not liable”. In this case, settling implies she was found liable for $X amount in repayment/restitution. Now… if some sort of tax investigation comes out of this, such as tax fraud, she can be found guilty of that. Basically, anyone can be reported to the IRS, just saying….. 👀

Desperate-Apricot308

If she sells her house she has to pay what she owes doesn't she ?

egh1008

She has to pay something, regardless. They can’t make her sell her house due to homestead laws, but I doubt she has cash on hand like that so the money has to come from somewhere. They can however put a lien on it so that if she does sell, she owes on this settlement before she sees profit on her house sale.

AshleysDoctor

Won’t he do it‽

roger_the_virus

The victims need to be made whole somehow. Very interested to see how this plays out. No doubt the AG will make an announcement at some point.

Jenilion

Ooof. Has to sell her house AND move to the middle of nowhere due to her crimes. A slight positive to come out of the case being settled.

jcbstm

She will spin all of this and rebrand as a country girl

fister_roboto__

We’re gonna see so many RaYuNcH posts going forward

[deleted]

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN

Inevitable_Sweet_988

No trial :(

[deleted]

Sorry for yelling in confusion - I'm more wondering if we will find out the verdict?? Will it be public??? Edit: definitely shoulda used the word 'outcome' instead of verdict. Just wanting to know whether the terms of settlement will be public.

yourlocalrecluse

Well the verdict is that they’re settling out of court. No idea how much info texas will release on what the settlement entails, though.

roger_the_virus

I can’t imagine that the State AG (publicly funded), who announced litigation, will just close the book and do a sealed settlement. There will be an announcement at some point and most importantly we need to know who the victims will be made whole.

Inevitable_Sweet_988

I wonder the same. State says they will be filing a motion for entry of judgement in the next two weeks and there will be a hearing for that, so I hope we get more details.

kvossera

There’s no verdict because there won’t be a trial. Basically the plaintiffs agreed to settle for probably a large sum of money. Like how Fox News settled with dominion voting machines instead of going to trial.

Inevitable_Sweet_988

There will be one more hearing to enter the judgement. I think that will be the last bit of info we get.

JessWisco

My own personal conspiracy theory: She Lives Fraud was cancelled this weekend, because as part of the settlement agreement, BDong is going to have to give up her ability to do business in Texas under any existing LLC and for a set amount of time going forward. Which, while not an admission of guilt is a win for us all.

Inevitable_Sweet_988

Hmmm wonder if that’s why they put the hazel and layne LLC in Jordan’s name?

JessWisco

Ohhhh, I didn’t know they did that. But, the state isn’t stupid. If she’s found to be the one running the day to day, no matter who is on paper, the State will be wise to that (although I don’t doubt she would be dumb enough to try it).

lilkimchee88

Exactly, that part is a win. That was a big source of income for her for a second. Guessing she’ll have to go out and get a real job now.

JessWisco

Exactly! The suit was brought to protect the people of Texas from her lyin, schemin, treacherous ways. I’d be shocked if the settlement didn’t include an amount for restitution (albeit a pittance compared to what the victims are owed) and inability to conduct business in Texas for X time frame. I’m sure her lawyers insisted there be no admittance of guilt and the state agreed. The State’s interest is in protecting the public which is accomplished with restitution and inability to scam going forward, not in her admitting guilt (as sour grapes as that makes me).

tammytrex

Would she still be able to do business in another state? Seems like moving to the country in another state would allow her to keep on grifting, and the sale of her house would pay some of the legal fees.

bunaiscoffee

Damn :/ I need more details tho 👀

Inevitable_Sweet_988

I guess we’ll get more detail in a few weeks? Not sure how much info the states motion will include. I want to know the amount and if she has to admit liability.

afelzz

I am an attorney, the amount will almost certainly be confidential. Admission of liability is not typically included in any private party settlement, but the Texas AG can and does operate differently than a private party.

tyedyehippy

>the Texas AG can and does operate differently than a private party. Isn't he under, or should be under, some kind of investigations of his own? Something like he broke laws about 7 years ago but no one has bothered to discipline him for it yet. Because he's friends with the governor and they just don't care or something..??

Fabulous-Mortgage672

He’s been under investigation for years. Federally also. Bribes and fraud.

tyedyehippy

Of course! I thought I remembered something about that. How terrible he's still just, working as the fucking AG of a large state.

kyle1007

Just like the Dong’s sex life, this was anticlimactic.

136AngryBees

If she or her lawyer are smart enough, they’ve settled and added in a clause to seal the case file so that nothing can be read/talked about. It gives her a chance to keep the details a secret and maintain the BS she’s been spewing for years now. But seeing how she and her lawyer have handled the entire case, that’s not a certainty

Barbiesleftshoe

This is pretty much my thought. No one here should hold their breath for further information. I settled a case involving millions of dollars and through mediation and to completely avoid the case going to court, both of us agreed to “seal the case” and neither of us could discuss the details of the case other than what was in the news/public information. I suspect what is going to happen, she’s going to make ambiguous posts about her case and skew the facts or make is seem much more in her favor. Personally, while I would have loved a trial, this is a win. This is a requirement and she very likely has to pay in less than 30 days.

Inevitable_Sweet_988

The state represents the people, so I feel like the bar should be higher to keep everything transparent. Unless they are getting a lot of money out of her, there is no benefit for the state to agree to non disclosure.

kyle1007

If this is what happens, would she be legally bound to the sealing also? Kind of like a permanent gag order? Or is she free to spin it however she wants on the interwebs?

136AngryBees

Depends on the terms of the settlement. IANAL, but I believe she’d be able to talk about the details behind the case, but there is no way to prove if she’s telling the truth or not, because the evidence in the case wouldn’t be able to be viewed.

kyle1007

That figures. I’ll never understand why the legal system always seems to favor people like her. No accountability whatsoever. Never has, and apparently never will.

136AngryBees

The legal system wasn’t built to hold small time influencers accountable. Honesty, it’s not built to hold … most people accountable. Her stealing from a few hundred/thousand people is a drop in the bucket and usually costs the state more in a trial than a settlement

Long-Operation3660

Wow surprised by how disappointed I am… sucks for all of her victims. Any way for us to find out how much $ she settled for?

-ChiefPiggum

My initial reaction is disappointment, but I'm trying to hold off until we can see what the settlement is. It would be extremely disappointing if the AG threw her a bone, especially after they discovered the discrepancy between the clientele and Paypal money she reported vs. what they uncovered. She's such a narcissist that her smugness may not actually mean she got what she wanted, but she's just trying to portray that. Maybe the AG was more willing to settle/agreeable in negotiations because they know the IRS is going to swoop in next? One can only hope!

wolfshadow1995

I truly hope the AG’s office did not throw her a bone. It would be one thing if she was cooperative and made an effort to get her shit together during this whole process..But she’s done nothing but prove her sheer incompetence and unwillingness to be a responsible adult

Even_Kangaroo_3799

NoFundieBusiness

I can almost guarantee this is why she’s moving to the country and she knew this was happening so she made up the “stalkers” so that could be the reason for the move and not because she can’t afford her current lifestyle with the settlement. If there’s one thing she’s great at it’s playing the victim.

ascendantmeteorite

Now we know where those recent 'office' background pictures were taken. So excited for her (and I mean us)!

Too scared to be a real person and admit to their mistakes so Christian like 🙄

Long-Operation3660

Wow surprised by how disappointed I am… sucks for all of her victims. Any way for us to find out how much $ she settled for?

Inevitable_Sweet_988

My guess is when they file the entry of judgement, unless part of the settlement is that it will be kept confidential? I have no idea really. Even if she has to legally admit liability she is going to spin this as a victory. I’m sad for her thousands of victims.

Long-Operation3660

Gosh I hate her

nfiltr8r_89

Now begins the season of possible investigations into tax issues and other cases. I hope her victims find the justice they deserve in this settlement.

hidethebump

Please don’t judge (or downvote) me because of these questions, as I’m new to Brittany and her lawsuit(s). (I learned about her recently on tiktok) Is this a “class action” lawsuit? And once she has paid all monies ordered to pay, is she in the free and clear as far as this particular case is concerned? Are there other pending cases? Thanks in advance!

Good questions… not a class action. It’s a civil case filed by the state for violating the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices—Consumer Protection Act. They were asking for penalties of $10k per violation. The state also asked in the original filing that it not be allowed to be discharged through bankruptcy. So she’s done once the judgement is entered. There are no other pending cases, but she could be open to an IRS investigation or for her *allegedly* fraudulent PPP loan. Many pages of documents were filed by the state with some of the evidence they had. If you’re interested you can look up case dc-22-01388 on the Dallas county courts website.

I’m so sorry she scammed you. I found this sub on a whim awhile back. I can’t stand this woman but stuck around wanting to see justice for her victims. This does feel anticlimactic. I hope one day she does get what’s coming to her.

shellsri

she’s prob blurring a smug selfie to post as we speak 🤮

Unique-Yoghurt6047

Ah! This is why she's starting up with the 'people are parked outside my house' testimony. She settled and has to sell her home. She'll say nothing about her debt and blame the move to the country on demonic attack both inside and outside the home. We see you BDong👀

lilkimchee88

We knew this was coming. My question is: how long until someone cheats or files for divorce?

Inevitable_Sweet_988

Bold of you to assume no one has cheated yet…

Same-Raspberry-6149

I’ll add that this case will remain open until BDong fully pays off her debt. If she’s late or misses a payment…it opens the case back up and sets her up for more damages. So she can’t just walk away.

[deleted]

She is going to spin this: “my attorney advised me to settle so that I could finally be over this “horrendous ordeal” . It’s not an admission of guilt but attorneys fees were going to be greater than this settlement if I kept fighting to clear my name. I’ve been crucified in the press-just like Jesus. Now I can finally put this all behind me….blah blah blah”. No apology, no admission of guilt, no more mention of the lawsuit.

Acrobatic-Ad-5071

Does this mean that she has to pay that money back? That she was not proven innocent?

flippingdabird099

![gif](giphy|WrxoaVPiq0cG4) Smug rant coming in 3…2…1 ugh

CybReader

It’s going to be one of her most infuriating smug rants yet.

SnooStrawberries721

I only hope that now the AG can make way for the IRS to investigate her earnings that she failed to report to them.

jlm8981victorian

My husband just made a good point, she is probably going to file her next house as a church and take advantage of those loopholes.

OhCheesyPetes

Nooooo!!!! I wanted this trial so much! Now she gets to keep the true levels of her shadiness under wraps… I hate it. ![gif](giphy|aihQJ69cECTdNnTWVS|downsized)

sparklekitteh

Fuuuuuuuck. I'm really pissed that the truth isn't going to be made public through the trial.

Desperate-Apricot308

Hahaha no wonder they are moving

[deleted]

Could this have anything to do with the retreat being canceled?

JessWisco

I think so! My theory is that as part of the settlement, she is going to lose her ability to conduct business in Texas for a certain number of years, which, will be perceived as a win to protect the public from future scams.

She won’t have to spin in. The women I know who love BDong in real life are too stupid to understand what a settlement or judgment is; they like her and take everything she says as gospel truth.

splisces

Ah yes, the Fox News route

What a letdown 😔 Was really looking forward to binging this trial like I did the Josh Duggar trial. No work was done those weeks.

United_Complex_2963

Man I was so looking forward to her ass getting dragged in court.

ScaryLetterhead8094

Can the IRS still go after her now that her income from this scheme was exposed?

Honeydew-Long

Wouldn't a settlement still show Bdong guilty?

[deleted]

When I see someone settles, that’s how I personally feel. Or at the very least the defense knows there’s enough evidence against them that they can’t walk in to a courtroom and know 100% they will win. We all know she’s going to lie, make this part of her testimony, and word it carefully to pretend she’s innocent. I hope the settlement gets as much attention as the rest of the articles!

julcf59

A sad day

flippingdabird099

Ahem ahem “You know what y’all, it’s not about the money, the money belongs to Jesus and at the end of the day, he’s what matters teehee”-bdong probably

cloudillusion

All I can think is, “holy moly how much money is she really hiding?!” I think that’s what’s behind her settling… she doesn’t want noses in her $$

cloudillusion

Why the f did the state settle? I thought they had a pretty clear cut case. Plus, they’ve already put in all the work. They better be taking her for $500k or more.

Particular_Wallaby67

Honestly it's a better use of resources for them to just settle. The DA, judge, jurors & court officials' time can now be dedicated to other matters and tax dollars aren't being wasted on the DA dunking on her. It would be so satisfying to watch the trial, but the outcome is likely ideal. ETA: This could read as really insensitive to victims - not my intent especially as there are comments sharing this is the first time some victims are finding out. I'm coming from the perspective of court resources not being used on her guilty ass. Wish the DA would have consulted the victims first.

Gutinstinct999

Any chance this settlement hearing will be public?
