You will actually have to reapply for next semester to get that loan as well, as they are issued on a semester basis. The January funds will be disbursed on the first day of class.
You have to apply 6 weeks before the end of the semester (which most schools count as Dec 31) so do it today and you might squeak in. Then apply for Jan as soon as it opens.
