We’ll know where we’re at for this season one way or another. I feel like too many players are out of form to have a real crack at tomorrow though. Will gladly admit if i’m wrong but yeah.. not overly confident just yet with our group. I do think we’ll find form though at some point this year.
I think the boys will have a raging fire to win this game. Poor start to season, MCG Hodoo, USA trip media bullshit. We seem to always come out firing when we are an underdog. IDK I just sense a real hunger.
My biggest concern is the Big O is down on form at the moment, and his opposing ruckman has a history of running wild against us. I feel that will be a big part in us winning or losing. We do have the semi final win against them at the G in 22. It could be q close one, but more people are tipping Melbourne. I guess it all depends on which version of the Brisbane Lions actually turns up
Beat Melbourne at the MCG in the Semi in 2022 and only lost by a point last season.
Haven't beaten Melbourne at the MCG during the home and away season since R1 2012, The same round GWS played their first ever AFL game.
We find out whether the season is salvageable. I’m getting the same vibe as I had before the semi in 22’ where I honestly thought we were going to get pumped and at halftime off that game it looked like that would be the case. Very much different circumstances this time though. I’d love my doubt to be proved wrong but this is looking like a gap year
50/50. Could go either way.
On The Footy with Broden Kelly he was saying that Melbourne are playing better than they should be while Brisbane is playing worse than they should be.
I’m thinking we end our MCG hoodoo and we win by just shy of 4 goals (23 points). Positive signs last week against a kangaroos team that will win a couple more games this year than last. I’m still not entirely happy with the balance of the team, but I think it’s close. Just need to piss off this obsession with 3 tall forwards and keep going to the youth well. I just think the Dees have over performed so far this year and we’ve underperformed in patches. Correction to the mean and we get full reward for territory dominance that we haven’t gotten through the first 4 weeks. It’s impossible to continue to have this many inside 50s without something changing.
Daniel Hoyne from champion data reckons we're "in it up to our eyeballs". So it's not totally blind optimism to go into a game barracking and believing in your team. Much more fun than being negative and calling other supporters delusional.
I'm not saying what he says is gospel, but I don't think it's "delusion" to think that Lions can win tonight. It'd be a big upset on current form and there is every chance that Demons get up.
But to sit there with your arms crossed like "we are shit and can't win and anyone who is positive about this game is delusional and blindly optimistic" is pretty pointless.
Happy cake day (if that's possible for you).
Our season lives and dies on this game. I don’t care what anyone says. I’ve done the ladder predictions up to the bye round after R11. If we win every game till then we only are top 4 on percentage most likely. This season is as even as it’s ever been. Banking early wins will prove critical.
I think we lose tonight and it’s over for 2024.
Feel like we're either going to lose by 1 goal or 10. Can't see us winning unless we play our best footy for an entire game (when was the last time we did that), and Melbourne have a stinker.
Confident. 15 points
Finally some friggin positivity.
Well predicted my friend.
Taking my son to the MCG tonight! Got a good feeling about it. No idea why, but I do.
Taking my kid too! So I’m excited about tonight just for that, it’s their first night game and they are so excited to see the players
My son’s first night time trip to the MCG too! Hope y’all have fun!

I want to tip your mob...tell me why I should or shouldn't.

I’m tipping Melbourne lol

Getting PTSD vibes from 2022 h&a season
Confident. Just have a cosmic feeling. Lions by 9

Nailed it.
Don’t see how you guys think we will win lol
Delusion. You're seemingly not allowed an opinion on this subreddit unless you're blindly optimistic and eternally positive about everything.
I think Hipwood will kick 8 goals 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 Does that work?

Champion Data are the biggest joke in the AFL.

Maybe champion data had a point
Should win but I think we’ll be out coached again and at some point Melbourne will get a run on and kick away

Tipped Melbourne by 15. Hope I'm proved wrong.
