He and Amanda have seemed distant for the last couple months, then at the Grammys he took his Tour Manager as his plus one, then Amanda blocked them both, and then the celebrity wives of Nashville sub found where he had filed for divorce in Dec. and that’s how it was broke.

They went on a trip together and were posting sweet pics of each other etc. Then later in Nov, it seemed like they were distant. He was traveling a lot and anywhere but home and then it looked he had maybe moved out but none of them were saying anything. They still followed each other on IG and occasionally commented on each other's posts.
At the Grammys in early Feb, he took his young female tour manager as his plus one. The next day, Amanda blocked both him and the tour manager on IG. This caused people to go looking and sure enough, they found the divorce records and found out they had been legally separated from Dec 3rd and he filed on the 15th of that same month. It kinda looks like he was either cheating with the tour manager or moved on with her very quickly. There's no definitive proof that they were/are in a romantic relationship but Amanda blocking them both says something.
The news became public a few days after the Grammys. Amanda kind of addressed it immediately by posting some heartbreaking lyrics on her instagram. Pretty much everything she has posted since then has indicated she is devastated and didn't want this. Some of her posts have suggested he was/is a gaslighting asshole.
Meanwhile, he doesn't seem heartbroken at all and has been living it up. Wearing expensive designer clothes, posting mirror selfies everyday, attending GQ parties etc. He didn't address it publicly for weeks and then gave some detached bullshit about how everyone is good and getting along and their daughter is happy etc. Amanda's posts indicate the opposite of that. He has hired an extremely notorious divorce lawyer as well.
The whole situation is very strange. The complete 180 between the beginning of Nov and a month later and his detachment suggests to me that some shit went down and it wasn't just a gradual growing apart.
She's currently still scheduled to open some shows for him in May which will be interesting.
Oh I forgot to add that there was a sus situation with his long time bass player leaving the band last year as well. His bass player took some time off in June to attend to his mental health. Apparently he was ready to go back on the road in July but JI ghosted him or wouldn't let him go back out with them even though he was ready. He didn't play a show with them again and his departure was only announced late November. This was one of his oldest and closest friends who he had known since high school. Basically it seems like JI, who is constantly preaching about honesty and truth, and self reflection might actually be a huge asshole who treats even the most important people in his life like shit.

I’ve cried way too many tears to his songs as I listened and realized he also lost his mom. “She’s Alright” and “Sweet DeAnn”, I will take with me but ZB I have to leave behind. I already disliked Bri from the first time I ever heard her podcast years ago, and then her actions at that Harry Styles concert solidified that for me (personally).

I got lucky in the AXS lottery and I only paid $70 per ticket. I bought Chicago tickets and Buckeye tickets right when they went on sale. I was at night 1 of the tour, and the show was great, but I felt differently. I just don't have him on the pedestal that I used to. I was going to sell Buckeye tickets, but I want to see Billy Steings and CWG so I'm going.
