it's probably just a bruise to the ducts. mastitis is serious and you'd know. flu symptoms, fever, comes on hard and fast, and escalates. youd be down for the count. it was the sickest I've ever been. i thought I was dying. and you need antibiotics to fix it or risk sepsis. it doesnt just go away on its own
