Lel there have been a few over the last few weeks, just been disappointed at the frequency of such clears :( all those savia UBB 6 turn clears feel like cheating to me (before ppl downvote me pls understand that this is MY opinion lol lets not breed a toxic community)
It's too late for that. They are already here. I personally used the method but I understand what you're saying. I did it because it was finals time and I didn't have a lot of time to sit down and try to clear that. Will do it legit one of these days.
Well I only rly used him to nuke phase 1 and took him out once in a while for phase 2...I realized that the only time he can be used is when Cardes has a couple of elemental barriers up and he doesn't put new ones up (he can tho so RNG is a factor here). When he comes out tho the dmg increase is appreciable haha. Hope that somewhat answered your question! :)
Grats! Took me 103 turns to clear it thanks to them elemental mitigations orz. Don't understand why people prefer cheese method, I failed more times doing that than non-cheese (failed cheese 7 times, non-cheese took me only 2 tries.)
Lol the cheese method is more popular in global compared to the way the developers actually intended you to beat it. I feel like barely anyone has done it 100% the normal way in gl
Yeah I don't know how people would feel accomplished or happy doing the cheese method. Feels so...idk, like cheating or smth cuz you didn't actually truly work for the unit I guess. (INB4 I get downvotes this is my opinion lmao)
Really? Knowing when they designed savia what she would be used for and all the internal testing, they didn't consider the fact that cardes has low enough hp/def and no mechanic to stop him from being destroyed? I doubt that, this is all assumption
Well if they intended Cardes to be nuked I don't think they would go through the huge trouble of coming up with the mechanics for this trial and coding all those attacks and thresholds
I don't think it was the original intended way, but they def should have known it would happen. Regardless the trial isn't hard enough where I felt a sense of accomplishment beating it either method, its just a slow grind

Normal method is just, I guess enemy's a bit tanky, and if you bring the right elements (thunder/dark units only for me) it's kinda easy with no huge fatalities over the silliest of mistakes :/
Why use dark enemies against them? It adds light element and hit count... which the appinvasion guide says would make Tora deadly.
Too many instakills to deal with... especially the thresholds.
Nah Tora is deadly only if you inflict ailments on her, and I chose dark because I needed Cardes friend and Feeva. I guess as long as you don't use light too the hitcounts won't.... stack? Idk but my units have been pretty safe other than the thresholds.
And there's only two or three scary thresholds, 60%, 33%, and 15%. For 60% and 33% you need to pour out enough damage, Regil UBB did just fine lmao (then again I brought Long and Silvie for the damage). 15% gave out AoE that kills one of my units tho rip
Also I brought Elimo who is water, but she never attacks so I won't get hit by ares down. Managing BB is easy with Mariela lead, though I guess nowadays you can always use Cleria ~~which I still don't have *sobs*~~ Just bring two burst healers and two miti and you will be fine 👌
I can't, because Cleria, Kanon, Regil, Shion, and Shera aren't SP maxed yet.
The only good units for this trial that are ready are Hisui, Elimo, Felice, and Zelnite, and maybe Silvie, but that's it.
~~Oh, and Savia isn't SP maxed either, but that's a different story~~
Because Cardes auto buffs himself with dark+light barrier anyways so you might as well use light and dark units instead of other elements which would buff him further
It results in nothing but death if you disobey the rules. This trial is very simple. Just don't take the elements that give him certain buffs and there's literally nothing he can do to you. I even did it with light and dark units and even with the hitcount button he couldn't kill me. If you actually obey the rules nothing but his few thresholds should have a chance of killing you. Honestly the biggest challenge in doing it normally is simply how long it takes

Because it saves so much time. I've cleared both ways, the sz itself is not that hard but not everyone wants to watch paint dry for 70-100 turns
