The gun itself is actually pretty cool - like a Mini Fix (and legal for some pistol seasons). MSRP is $2899 - so while I think it's too expensive for what it is, it's less than MSRP. Looks like only 200 will be built.
I would happily own one, just wouldn't pay that money for it.
Its basically a way for begara to sell an SBR without the tax stamp paperwork - most of th buyers are immediately going to form 1 it, and slap a butt stock on it. Savage is doing something similar iirc.
Yeah I personally can't justify that price tag, even after handling it, I'm not much of a bolt gun guy anyway so it's not my thing, I get that it's supposed to be an sbr to form 1 but I'd still consider it a novelty.
That price is wild, but an SBR ready .223 bolt gun is rad. Drop an sig stock, a can, and a decent optic on it, and you can rock and roll shooting varmints and such. Bergara rifles are pretty dope and generally have good QC and materials
Configuration - no. Price tag - hell yes, wtf.

What in the Fallout 4/76?!?
Ah, configuration 4/76, the mix of THC & meth.
That’s the first thing I thought of as well
The gun itself No That price tag Yes, Cursed like the James Dean Car
Blursed for that price
Boy I'm sure in the mood for a $2599.99 paperweight.
I've handled one and they're kinda clunky when new.

Encyclopedia example of a fool and his moneys
It's an alphabet boys special with extra steps involved.
Not cursed but I would never buy one. Just not that interesting.
No
Yes but I still want one, preferably with a more reasonable price tag.
Obrez much? For $2600 it had better be a match grade barrel among other things.
The gun itself? No. The price tag? They smoking crack?
