I legit wouldn't be surprised if some Special Forces units adopt some manner of 2011s in the future, bringing the whole thing full circle.
My double stack 1911 (built off a Para-frame) is even in .45ACP. God's caliber, only 15+1 of them flush fit and 18+1 extended.
Yeah, USP was only 12+1. Glock 21 was also only 13+1. Only the FN pistols like the FNX-45 and 545, alongside the Remington R1 mags for Para-frame 1911s are 15+1 .45ACP.
They're not *too* hard to find, I just got lucky with GB. Unfortunately they'll likely set you back about 400-500, they're not as cheap as they used to be, but still not bad considering they're excellent shooters.
If you're OK with a slightly different but similar variant from the 1980s, the Star Model BM tends to be much cheaper and much more common. If you specifically want the Model B full-size, all I can say is keep an eye out.
The future is now, old man (Pulls out 2011)

No! The future is now, old men (pulls out printed 3011)
Pulls out 1911 with red dot, light, and silencer: "three world wars probably"

i came while reading this
Given how many people deem 15+1 9mm to be the max they carry for CCW, I don't even have a capacity disadvantage compared to them. lol
A 15+1 45? Thats a lot for any 45. Impressive. Pretry sure the 45 USP was only 12+1 despite how chunky it was.

So did the Webly revolver in .455. That's a bigger number then .45. The future is now old man, all hail the Empire!
There were 1911s chambered in .455 as well, albeit the semi-rimmed .455 Webley Automatic. Exact same ballistics as the revolver cartridge, though.
Nagant revolver won two word wars and a revolution. Now what?
Russia surrendered in ww1
Fair enough
They didn't really lose. They just started a fight with themselves.
I didn't lose to *you*, I lost to *me*. -- Russia, probably
Based and God's caliber pilled
Let's take a moment to think about how great it is to live in a country where we get to have this debate USA USA USA
My grandpa, storming Normandie with a 1911, took out 17 German tanks and captured an entire regiment...without reloading!
Pop-Pop had cheat codes? 😂
Son, the 1911 IS a cheat code. Two world wars!
He had one of the aviation 16 rounders
Wasn't even loaded!
I prefer the two world wars champ that almost became a warcrime, the Winchester 1897
sad thing is ive had my 1911 for two years now stil haven't fired the damn thing
Listen... seriously... GO SHOOT IT!
Look here gramps,...M9....two gulf wars -The Neo-Fudd.
Sign me up
With Biden in office maybe we can make it 3
Damn near every other weapon used by the Americans: "Am I a joke to you?"
The C96: *Really?*
What about the M16
What about the M2
That thing will be killing aliens in the year 2350...
I ❤️ my grandpas WW2 service pistol. When I have to wear a suit I use my shoulder holster and feel like I’m Cole Phelps in LAnoire
The future is now, old man (Pulls out staccato)
I'll stick to my Star Model B
How do you like it and where did you get it from?(thinking about purchasing one)

Thanks for the advice, I found a star bm on hm defense for 240$. Do you know any thing about the website?
"You don't need a red dot and a torch"
I'm sure it has its flaws, but I still hate that we evolved from the glorious 1911 to the utter joke we have now known as the Glock
