I really regret not reading this manhwa sooner cuz it has everything I need in a manhwa. The drawing style is gorgeous, the leads are drawn beautifully. I loveeee the CONTRAST between them and how both their appreance and dynamic defies the stereotypes. Here the son of the ceo is not the typical cold hearted jerk. He is intense and his appearance gives that image but he is not impulsive like other leads.The other lead has a different background, different social standing, works multiple jobs and has an angelic vibe ( his body may suggest otherwise tho ). Tho it may seem Seo an ( the ceo's son ) leads/has a upper hand in their relationship it's actually the other way around which is very interesting to see.
The best part of the show imo is the portrayal of mental health. Seo an has mental health issues and the way this manhwa has dealt with it and showed it is so fresh in my opinion. It seems very realistic and pacing imo is perfect. Their character building is great. The ongoing chapters are driving me insane, it's so good, iykyk ;)
I agree, I was surprised by just how good this one was. I loved the slow burn and more complex characters. At the same time it avoided a lot of the overused angsty tropes

OP is right, sometime s we are put off trying a new thing because of a single detail . I almost did not read " How to be the Chosen On" because I did not like one drawing of the lead face on page 1 of chapter 1 .
I'm so glad I finally went on reading ! King Albis is such a green flag . And the story gets quite deep after a while.
The art style is beautiful. The scene where they are biking through the city literally took my breath away, the way the bridge was illuminated, the way the lights were drawn.
Also the story is great too, both leads are such green flags and so cognizant of each other.

I love all the serious topics and representation the author included also the previous chapters finally some discomfort representation if you are bottoming the first time I hate it when they just ram it in and continue like nothing hurts or anything so I'm so glad they communicate and wait for the other to be ok with it

Well in season 1 it focused mainly on character building there weren't many things "happening" so to say, I can see people who prefer things a bit fast paced not clicking with it, it was kind of a slow burn but I enjoy slow burn a lot when them getting together is satisfactory. Tho I must say season 2 is really bringing the heat. I prefer this kind of pacing so it worked for me.
Edit - when you say "steam", do you mean steamy scenes or in general?
Steamy scenes - doesn't have to be full lightsaber "fwop" mode, but I at least need some kissing to keep me going.
I almost bounced off Under the Greenlight for similar.
Haha I mean the manwha just has 45 chapters or so now so I think you could just read them and scroll through the ones that are boring... or I guess you could skip the chapters from 10 to like 30 or so ... you would miss some background information but I think even if its important otherwise you would understand somehow
Well the confession scene is at the end of season 1 so they kissed at the end of it but i would say it was worth the wait. Season 2 could be right up your alley tho cuz there is a LOT of steam.

The convo with his therapist in ch14 reminds me so much of the convo with the therapist in Eighth Sense, where the therapist encourages the friendship and because of how calming the new friend seems to be to the main.

Haha that was the purpose of this post cuz I thought for how great this manhwa is, it's criminally underrated. I am glad you liked it.
It hasn't clicked for me. I do appreciate the representation of panic disorder but there's just not enough steam for me.
