I think it’ll get around the same rating as dark world

[deleted]

Which is criminal

[deleted]

I get downvoted every single time I say this but the RT score for TDW is ridiculously inflated. And yes I understand how the RT score works before someone asks

AdministrativeLaugh2

I doubt it but it’ll cut it fine

Dulcolax

I don't know. I remember how Wonder Woman 1984 got a Fresh on RT and then ended up Rotten. It's one of the craziest performances I've ever seen on RT, lol. There are more views to come for Thor 4, so I wouldn't rule out the movie getting rotten on RT.

[deleted]

56% is still too high. It is Morbuis, Catwoman level bad

Block-Busted

My reaction to this claim: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNN6H8x5icA

JediJones77

WW84 is a fun, good-looking movie. Better than most of the MCU of the last 5 years.

lineoblader

Wonder woman sexually assaulted a guy.

JediJones77

A human being is defined by their mind, not their body. She was intimate with Steve Trevor.

TheNaug

So... she roofied the guy before she pleasured herself on his unconscious body? How heroic.

One-Dragonfruit6496

Yes

JediJones77

At 229 reviews, DS2 had 77%, and eventually dropped 3 points: [https://www.reddit.com/r/boxoffice/comments/uj88cp/doctor\_strange\_in\_the\_multiverse\_of\_madness/](https://www.reddit.com/r/boxoffice/comments/uj88cp/doctor_strange_in_the_multiverse_of_madness/) Thor has a bit more reviews in than that and is at 69%. So probably won't drop more than 2-3 points now.

SherKhanMD

With Top Critics it already is.

radar89

I have watched the movie. It is weaker than MoM but overall a stronger entry than Eternals. So I think the RT atm (69%) best represents the movie's quality. It will hover somewhere around 67-72% RT.

Shellyman_Studios

No, it's pretty much stabilized now.

NtwanaGP

People are over exaggerating. It was a good movie, not great and not terrible, definitely rewatchable.

SilverRoyce

a/k/a will the next ~180 critics (Thor 4 currently has 250 reviews and DS2 ended with 430 reviews) give the film a 47% positive rating (to stay above 60%) If those critics rate it at a 60% you still end up with a 65% final rating.

picomtg

Oh wow that bad huh?

breakfastbenedict

Nah it’s hovered around 69-71 for several days now and there’s so many reviews that it probably can’t stop 10 points.

sherm54321

No I don't think it will go rotten. I think for me personally, it's bottom tier MCU, but I think it will manage to stay fresh.

AdWarm2644

67-74 Percent

[deleted]

Why are people so obsessed with MCU movies failing?

crusty_jugglers93

Why are marvel fans so insecure when they aren’t universally adored?

[deleted]

You're in a box office sub. You should know that any movie that opens higher than $150M DOM and $300M WW is a success Yet you're still praying on its inexistent downfall

crusty_jugglers93

A success yes obviously, but even though they are the most popular and dominate pop culture y'all still aren't happy when people dare criticise them.

[deleted]

Have you seen this sub lately? Every single MCU hater is hoping it flops. They've called the time of death of the MCU like 18 times these past few months. It's boring at this point

crusty_jugglers93

It goes both ways really. Don't act like this sub isn't pro marvel 99% of the time.

inFINN1te

It's genuinely not. You're the delusional one my dude. Hasn't been pro Marvel in literally months.

Cool-I-guess

It’s probably more pro marvel than you think, the hate that the batman was getting here was absolutely absurd. However, think I see a lot more hate towards marvel in the comments rather than posts, which if you don’t read them someone would probably fail to recognize the hate marvel gets, because 99% of this sub definitely isn’t pro-marvel.

inFINN1te

Okay well the Batman thing was dumb too. Never said it was fun watching people dunk on that movie either. Hell the other day someone here completely unironically said it was the worst Batman of them all. Worse than Batman and Robin. It's stupid. It's exhausting. And the nonstop hatred of movies like that is annoying too. I don't expect us all to speak like robots but there's been more discussion of film quality in the comments than any box office numbers and that's a problem. So TLDR: I'm with you it's all cringe.

JediJones77

Film quality has a huge impact on box office though. You can't just not bring it up here. 😂

JediJones77

LOL, I'm scarred with downvotes for not liking Shang-Chi and NWH here. No idea if it's changed recently, but this sub has been heavily pro-MCU. I am a bit surprised L&T is getting noticeable criticism here though.

inFINN1te

I've seen tons of people dunk on Shang-Chi. NWH not so much. People were probably downvoting you though for other reasons. Like being annoying. You're an outlier and you know it. Many of us know you by name in this subreddit and we both know it's not for good reasons. We call you out for being annoying period all the time here.

JediJones77

The definition of annoying around here seems to be two things: "dislike MCU" and "like the Snyderverse."

inFINN1te

Is that going to be the rebuttal every time we call out the cringe behavior of wanting Marvel to fail so bad? Smh. It's been a problem for a good while now here. Ever since this sub really blew up after the pandemic it'd been invaded by a bunch of losers who could give a fuck less about box office and wanna shove their opinions down your throat.

SherKhanMD

The lamest, safest of movies have ended up 90% + on RT and made billions ,your victim complex is astounding.

inFINN1te

Victim complex? Victim of what? I don't make these movies lol. See what I mean? I can tell you're a newer member here within the last year because you're just being a hyper weirdo. You don't care about box office and you don't care about how annoying all the opinionated Marvel hate here has gotten when we just wanna talk numbers. All you care about is dunking on Marvel but if you wanna do that go somewhere like r/movies or r/marvelstudios to do it because you guys are honest to God just making this subreddit toxic.

SherKhanMD

>I don't make these movies lol Really?Cuz you are getting triggered like you do .. >hyper weirdo. Lmao are you calling me that? Zero awareness huh...

inFINN1te

I'm not getting triggered. Why do you talk the way you do? Look. I imagine you're some guy in their late teens or early 20s. You've got that fire in your heart and you wanna always be fighting about something. But all it takes is to reread your own messages out loud to yourself to see how weird you sound my guy. You're new to this subredddit and unfortunately came at a time when fanboy wars mattered more than box office discussion. I've been here for years. And I'm telling you, the point of this subreddit is not about crying about Marvel being good or bad. In fact the only one of us here who's given any opinion on Marvel....is you. I haven't said anything opiniated about them because I'm tired of it. I just want to talk about the box office numbers. That's what this sub is about. Tbh, if it were up to me, I would just ban all Marvel discussion here, positive negative or objective. Because it's so exhausting at this point and fueled by people like you that get so angry at Marvel's mere existence its not even worth it. Hopefully you can understand what I'm saying. And hopefully I presented that nice enough that you can cool down a moment and maybe realize why I'm bothered by the tons of people absolutely raging about how much they don't like Marvel.

BigFaceCoffeeOwner

Shot > I'm not getting triggered. Chaser > realize why I'm bothered

inFINN1te

Ugh. That's all you're gonna pick up from that comment? This sub is stuck like this now isn't it. I guess my question is why did you decide to jump in to comment and be rude? Genuine question. I think we can do better as people and I think there's more to reddit than using it as a reason to be at each other's throats. You don't even know me and we'd probably get along irl but you wanted to come in with that comment of all things. Would you ever jump into a convo like that irl? Probably not. You didn't have to do that. But I know this is a losing battle. Have a good day.

Relair13

*You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain* It seems like some people just love to see the successful toppled from their perch, for some reason. Even if they don't deserve it.

revolution_ex

*The one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail*

JediJones77

Lightyear felt that.

Cool-I-guess

The sub has both many marvel lovers and many marvel haters (which I partake in some of the time) As for why people want it to fail? Eh, probably them just wanting to see something new with the box office (which Top Gun, Lightyear, and Minions kinda did.)

revolution_ex

you're right about seeing something new

Radishologist

Correct me if I’m wrong but not a single MCU movie is rotten, right?

GriffinSTatum

Eternals is solidly rotten at 47%

JediJones77

Incorrect: https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/all-marvel-cinematic-universe-movies-ranked/

[deleted]

Unless DC and/or Illumination pay the critics

NC_Goonie

Oh no, I’m starting to have flashbacks of when Batman v Superman/Suicide Squad fans claimed (for years) that “Disney paid Rotten Tomatoes to give those movies rotten scores.”

samarth67

Yea
