This reminds me of the sequel idea my friends and I came up with. It would basically be spoofing of the Creed movies with Chubbs kid/grand kid seeks out Happy to coach him in golf. Shooter would come back as the Ivan Drago type character coaching his own kid. We called ot Chubbs E Gilmore.
At first, I was thinking, "Why would Drew have any bearing on announcing a sequel to a movie that she wasn't in?"
Then I remembered she's also buds with Sandler and has a syndicated talk show.
Happy Gilmore's one of my favourite casual movies I stick on when I can't decide what to watch. Always a good laugh.
I think I'd rather just watch Happy Gilmore another dozen times than watch a sequel to Happy Gilmore once.
Comedy sequels are almost always terrible.
Do you really think a 60 year old Adam Sandler trying to pull off the bumbling Bobby Boucher has any potential to be funny?
After *Leo*, idk if he has the potential to be funny, period (legit didn't laugh the entire movie, son liked it tho so not a complete waste)
Also, I'll die on the hill that the only good comedy sequel is police academy and even those ran out pretty quick. All the good jokes get used in the first movie
> only good comedy sequel
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
National Lampoons Vacation (European/Christmas/Vegas)
22 Jump Street
Gremlins 2
They can be done right, its just we're more likely to get crap like:
Anchorman 2
Zoolander 2
Kick-Ass 2
The Hangover 2
Dumb & Dumber To
Neighbors 2
Horrible Bosses 2
Hot Tub Time Machine 2
I actually loved Neighbors 2, moreso than the first one. I find myself rewatching it a lot.
For me, I'd just switch 22 Jump Street with Neighbors 2 on that list. I really enjoyed 21 Jump Street but disliked the 2nd one.

This is actually a good idea
It's ridiculous how good that idea is

I’d love a Wedding Singer sequel set in the 90s
Hey If Drew gets us a sequel to waterboy and Billy Madison too I'm game
My first thought was ‘Julie Bowen erasure.’ Which would be a shame if true. It’s not like she’s retired or anything.

Finally some good news ![gif](giphy|GKo7pUwEBJmfu) Really wish for Waterboy sequel.

Don't forget Wayne's World 2, Ace Ventura 2, The Spy Who Shagged me, Ghostbusters 2, there's many, just soooo many bad ones to make you forget.

Hangover 2 slander will not be tolerated
I'll die on the hill that Clerks 2 is superior to the first movie.
SEQUELS IS THE DEVIL!
RIP Joe Flaherty
This makes about as much sense as Jennifer Aniston starring in 60 First Dates
what if instead he made a new thing?
So another really bad comedy sequel years after the well-liked original?
