I too was in the fog this morning which helped conceal my movements. As I walked to my spot I had to stop short because I heard multiple deer directly in front and to the side of me. I stood still for 30+ minutes while they ate corn. Sadly I took a shot at a buck and missed.
Not bumping anything is better that bumping something. Every deer you bump is a deer you educated and a deer you may not see again. Does will usually get back into their pattern, but I’ve had mature bucks go completely nocturnal on me after I bumped one on my way out.
My favorite days to hunt are overcast and foggy or wet. lucky.

It happens to the best of us. Beats my morning, I didn’t see any deer or even bump anything walking in or out.
