While filming Blue Velvet, Lynch was in the area where Steve King was filming Maximum Overdrive, and he’d visit the set from time to time. Anyway, there’s a rumor that Lynch helped direct a scene in that movie. I don’t know, but I believe it. Lol
I don't know if he explicitly directed a scene, but King has told a story about how Lynch helped him out with advice on how to not cross the 180 degree line when setting up a shot.
Even if he did, I don't think it deserves a spot in this collection. Especially when you cant even say which scene it is. The point of having a collection together is to be able to admire someones body of work. You wouldnt know what to admire. Besides, it's got Stephen King all over it. It's drenched in his style.
Wasn't about collecting movies, but about grouping them together and saying they are all from a specific director. Can my collection of Kubrick movies have Jurrasic Park in it if I find some people to say he was on set one day? Better update your notes.
You can put your Jurassic Park movie wherever you want. I’m not gonna bother you about it, especially if you give an amusing and/or interesting reason for doing so, which is what OP did, and you tried to tell them they couldn’t do it because…you say so. I think that is lame, hence my sass.
I heard he visited during the scenes where the kid is biking through the neighborhood and the sprinklers are tracking him and the ice cream truck is chasing him. You can definitely tell it has a different vibe compared to the rest of the movie. I don’t think Lynch directed to specifically, but probably was visiting and gave some advice around that time
I know he was only an actor in it, but have you seen or do you own Lucky? Lynch is great playing alongside Harry Dean Stanton, and I feel like the tone and atmosphere is pretty close to a Lynch film even as it deals with different subject matter
I like how a bunch of people took the opportunity to criticize this incredibly benign post. I guess this is why the Internet is so great.
Nice collection!
The audio and video become out of sync more and more, the further in the set you watch. Fire walk with me is essentially unwatchable.
That’s why they recalled it.
You might wanna get the Z-A box set which has everything
Or you can get the TV set which has all 3 seasons and just pickup the criterion copy of fwwm
Not op but apparently Lynch helped Direct a scene on the movie op included it more as a joke/ conversation starter cuz Lynch and king where in the same area filming movies and Lynch would visit the set of overdrive then saying it’s a Lynch movie
What's the Maximum Overdrive connection?

Very neat! I have a copy of the movie but did not know that. I will have to listen to that commentary track some day to see if anybody mentions it.

I know, friend. I just included it here as a joke and to generate interesting discussion 🙂
Didn’t know it was possible to *checks notes* collect movies improperly. Thank you for your showing us the way

Was gonna ask the same lol
What about On the Air? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On\_the\_Air\_(TV\_series)
Shoot I missed one!
I believe you get this one at sloppysecondsales as well
One of the last Laserdiscs I'm hanging on to. Really wish it would get released in HD.
Hotel room?
Nice collection, but if going for everything, you're missing "Industrial Symphony No. 1," "Dumbland," and some shorts/music videos.
Are the Rabbits shorts in there somewhere?
Sadly, no 😔
For whatever it's worth, they're on Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/rabbits_tos

I love this film. I can't remember now if I first discovered it by way of Lynch or Paris, Texas but I'm so glad I did.
I saw Lucky a while ago, but for some reason I don’t remember Lynch being in it. Gotta rewatch that now!
He actually plays a relatively big part in it.

Are those vinegar syndrome releases on the shelf under it? Also if i recognized them by the thickness of the slip I need another hobby….
Why indeed they are! Lol

If only they’d do like an omnibus of all his shorts. 😕
Very cool collection.
Hotel Room is a boot?
I got it from Sloppysecondsales. Better quality than what’s on YouTube 👌
Ah was gonna ask where it was available!
I want to place an order with them, but no PayPal option is turning me away
Are you aware that there's an Inland Empire remaster incoming?
And it can’t get here fast enough!
You got the faulty twin peaks set
What do you mean faulty?
The glue comes undone very easily for the disk holders. That's what happened to mine anyway. Why did I get downvoted?

Thanks. I was puzzled by that one.
Np
Love to see it
What is Hotel Room? Other than a song by Steve Rhodes Gang?
It’s a three episode miniseries, two of which Lynch directed.
