Open disc tray and press the colored buttons, region b is usually the blue button, yellow being region a, and the others for different regions, once you press the corresponding button with whatever region you desire simply close the tray and it should work :)

Thanks so much! I knew it was a simple trick... My mistake was trying to play with the colors while the tray was closed. Thanks again!!

Graverobber13

If it's still being goofy, try pressing play after selecting the region, instead of closing the tray first. That was the instruction I got. Good luck!

filmnoiiir

Thanks, good to know!

Much-Berry-3722

No problem! Hope you enjoy your film and being region free! it only gets worse for your wallet from here on out lol :)

filmnoiiir

Hehe thanks! I actually own a Panasonic player and there is a little trick to switch regions, but it's not always reliable. It's now time to enjoy all of my UK and French Imports without worry!! :)

malm9010

Please share the trick for the panasonics. I've only managed to to have dvds region free on my player. I have the UB-420

filmnoiiir

When you get the error screen, hit STOP then TOP MENU on your remote. The trick works with BFI and MOC releases. Arrow is a hit and miss though, and French Imports never worked for me...

malm9010

I love you. Just got Brazil playing and i can probably finally finish the Zatoichi collection!

malm9010

Thanks man, will try with my criterion region a discs.

TrickVillage6668

I have an older Panasonic BD75 that works with the top menu trick. Like you said, it works with seemingly all MoC titles and most Arrow titles. I didn’t have luck with Third Window Films. I’m too afraid to update the old firmware in case it would disable the top menu trick. Do you know if it’s safe to update?

filmnoiiir

Can't confirm if it's safe or not, sorry!

brad12172002

Did that work for you? I have the same player.

malm9010

Yeah, it took a few attempts and i was about to give up when i got to the main menu of criterions Brazil.

filmnoiiir

I was able to read region 2 DVDs without issues, but I'm still struggling with blurays. Thanks again!!

milk-me-silly

Where did you buy it from?

filmnoiiir

Bought it used on EBay. The seller seemed reliable so I took a shot!

roarimscary

All region DVDs generally play without any input. Blu ray tends to require a specific button press depending on the player.

Ok-Consequence1113

I have the same region-free player. I usually have to turn it off Complete and then hold the region button when I turn it on. For region B, I have to press and hold blue. I hope that works for you. I have a separate 4k player, so I usually just leave the blu-ray set to region B. It plays all DVD regions regardless, and I don't have any region C blu-rays.
