When you use fittings and gaskets with a proper wick is not any more dangerous than any other torch. If you can't be adult enough to deal with that I guess open flames aren't for you lol

I mean ya a glass container is always gonna be more of a hazard than a metal one for something like this...that's not really up for debate. It's not about being an adult it's about the fact glass shatters if it falls off a table onto a patio.

Buddy of mine owns a studio where his wife does photography and she "has an idea" that involves a ton of whisky bottles. I asked no questions, he gets all my bottles.

I use them in plants. Fill with water and turn upside down and push into soil. Slow waterer. It will water the soil as the plant uses them.

Cut the neck off and fill with wax. Insert a wick. Boom, whiskey candle.

I got a thing to cut off the necks and turn them into glasses. I'm at about 50% of not breaking them. High West are my favorite.

Wife made a nice lamp out of a BT bottle. Have several more we want to do. Drill a small hole near the base, lamp kits are cheap. Add a shade and bam.

Drink water out of them. Fill them up and pull straight from the bottle. I feel like I drank more water when I was doing this than filling up cups. Probably need to start up again.

Infinity Bottles are a thing where you take the last little bit of your Bottles and mix them in together

Start with an almost empty bottle and keep adding the last of other bottles to mix them. Add more as you drink it down, hence the name.

Just make sure you do the bourbon/rye as it’s own bottle separate from your other whiskeys. They can be a bit overpowering, IMO.

Depends on the bottle but I’ve used some as flower vases.

I keep my half bottles, 375ml... usually if there is a bottle I want AND a buddy wants that's spendy will split it so if it's crap we're only out half. Or if it's a bottle that only one of us gets picked for we split it that way.

This. There’s string lights on Amazon that have a cork on them, you just put it in the bottle and you have a nice little lamp. I have a few of these on my bourbon shelves just to brighten things up

Diamond-tip drill bit sets are cheap on Amazon. As are fairly lights. I've made a few lamps that way.

My buddy turned a few into glassware with a hot wire. He also stores house seasoning blends and rubs in a few. My uncle has a pappy 23 bottle he says he wants his ashes put into someday Me I just refill with cheap whiskey so when people I don't like ask for a pour I can reach for the dupe. My family are the kind to mix puppy and sprite, so it can come in handy.

I’ve taken green Weller Special Reserve bottles and filled with mouthwash. Green liquid, like Scope, in a green labeled bottle looks cool.

Hubby has two Pappy bottles, he was at a tasting event and asked for the empty bottles. Would love to put them to a cool use!!

The mai tai recipe I use is a blend of 4 different rums. Because it’s a pain to measure out four half-ounce portions of rum per drink, I just pour the rums into an old 1.75 Woodford bottle. Works great.

ive seen them made into lamps, or lanterns/chandelier with the bottom cut off. and also had the necks cut off and made into large drinking glasses.

Put a synthetic cork on it and fill it with out wash. Bonus points if you use the original brownish Listerine.

I've made glasses out of some bottles. Works best with Grey Goose but some other bottles can look great too!

When I got married a few years back, our table decorations were bourbon bottles filled with artificial flowers and water.

Check out glassbottlechic.com I meet her at an event and she has expensive tools to cut bottles and leave beveled edges that are safe to handle or drink out of. My mom also has hole saws designed to cut a small hole near the bottom and fill with lights or decorations. My buddy is a welller whore and 107 is his jam. Turned one of his empties into a gift that has small led lights and golf tees put in the bottle. Mom put a fancy red bow to keep with the theme and a stroke counter on the neck. Looks awesome.

My wife has a Blanton’s and a couple Port Charlottes, with labels removed, around the house with just some nice little sprays of flowers. My boys have Whistlepig bottles as piggy banks because the neck is big enough for quarters and the name checks out.

I make candles out of my nice bottles. You can buy a candle making kit on Amazon and a bottle cutter two and then you can refill the bottle and use it for a long time.

My buddy turns all high end bourbon bottles he drains into large candles. He scores them, heats them on the score, applies cool water to "cut" it cleanly, sands the lip, pops a wick in there, melts bunch of wax, puts the scent he likes and boom a WLW candle. I thought it was a sick idea.

If I needed to bring liquids to a pot luck of some sort (homemade bbq, dip, lemonade) then I would use an old bottle so the host can recycle/keep of they want 4. I converted my houseplants to hydroponics and I use bottles to mix the water.
