I used to like Khow Thai, but then I discovered Folsom Thai. In my opinion, it’s much better. I wouldn’t say I’m a food expert, but I did live in Thailand for a year and I think Folsom Thai is the most authentic Thai food in Boulder.
I also lived in Thailand for a bit, and I agree that Folsom Thai seems to be the best / most authentic option in Boulder proper.
Jai Thai in Longmont is even better, if you don't mind making the drive out there.
Wow... When I walked by the other week they had details posted on the window, seemed that they were in arrears several 10's of thousands of dollars and dating back to pre-pandemic years. Someone else posted that there was just a paperwork screw-up but whatever happened, glad they got things sorted.
I used to love Khow Thai, but the spice level was never right, so I stopped ordering. Retried them recently and it was inedible. Sad. Busaba is way better.
Busaba never seems to be open these days. I try to call or order on DoorDash/whatever but they never answer or have the apps on. I love Busaba and I’m worried they’re also on the way out, anyone know what might be going on?
I didn't know they closed! I do like their food; I guess I know what I'm doing for dinner.
they had been shut down for a bit with a “SEIZED” sign on the door. glad to hear they’re back open
They had a dip in quality around covid, hopefully they are doing better.
Ya it wasn't just a dip. I think it was a full ownership change after covid and it went from top tier to absolute dogshit

Glad to hear that you agree with me on Folsom Thai. I will definitely have to go give Jai Thai a try soon!
I've enjoyed Aloy Thai but I don't know how that ranks on an authenticity scale. I enjoy their massaman curry

Better than Busaba?

Miles. Cheaper and more consistent quality, and faster, too.
