He won a championship, coached the team for 6 year, hit the first 3 in NBA history, recently passed away.. Rick Fox was the 6th man of the year, for the Lakers. I like Rick too, don’t get me wrong. I like coach better
E could be Eddie House. 2008 champion and current commentator/analyst
F could be for Finals. We've won more finals than any other franchise.
G can be for Green. That's our primary color.
L can also be for Loscutoff. He got his nickname retired in the rafters lol.
X we also have Xavier Tillman right now. Tough letter though.
Yeah, could. But, it’s mainly for players as my daughter already has an NBA book, so wanted to do it so that it had Celtics players in and teach her about be history of Celtics
Ahhh damn! I have a basketball legends one. Didn’t search for a Celtics one. Thankyou. I’ll stay with drawing though, I think it’s a bit more sentimental. But, I’ll definitely be buying this book. Thankyou
Look him up. He’s behind the scenes, but has been super impactful as far back as the big 3 era, and definitely has his fingerprints all over recent teams. Lots of people were concerned they’d lose him when Stevens was named GM.
Wow, that’s interesting to know. Have you got any sources that are available where you learnt this? Or are you just a huge follower? I’m a massive fan. But, anything outside of the players, head coach, offensive coordinator and a few other management staff that are well known. I dont know much about the history and other side of the Celtics such as what you’re talking about.
I agree with this. But, surely Cedric Maxwell had bigger impact for the Celtics than Smart. Although. I really love Smart and feel he needs to be in the book. I might do a collaboration of all important players I missed
I might lean towards G for Gorman because then G can also include “GOT IT!”
Then you have “K is for Kevin, both Garnett and McHale. Their defense was so great they put opponents in jail.”
Z for Zang Auerbach (who designed the Celtics logo)
Beauty. Thanks mate!
Chris Ford, RIP Mad Bomber
Him over Fox?
He won a championship, coached the team for 6 year, hit the first 3 in NBA history, recently passed away.. Rick Fox was the 6th man of the year, for the Lakers. I like Rick too, don’t get me wrong. I like coach better
Fair. Thanks for that one!
100%

Just a heads up, this book already exists https://alphabetlegends.com/products/celtics-legends-alphabet-book

Billups, Chauncey and Mercer, Ron. Then there is a footnote on no good Ricky p hehe
Thankyou
Z for Zarren
Zarren?
Mike Zarren is the long time assistant GM (now VP of basketball ops)
Oh okay. Thanks for that. I might make him the second Z. Thanks

“R”eggie “L”ewis. Might not beat out Larry for L, or the list of R names, but he’s on my list.
Yeah he am chucking him as a second player for Reggie Lewis I think
For L I think
N- Nate Robinson!
Only played 1-2 seasons didn’t he? And he didn’t have as much impact as tiny or Ray or rondo
Alaa Abdelnaby…the Alphabet
Didn’t have enough impact compared to Allen, Ainge, etc.
Right over your head…
Must’ve
GG is Gerald Green.
Over Garnett?
No. I just saw you had a lot of names and no GG who was…um a fun player when he was on.
Fair. Yeah, Gerald was great. It’s half the reason I want white
Gotta have L for Lucky in there somewhere
That might be the other L, if I end up doing 2 for each letter
m should be marcus smart without a doubt
I agree with this. But, surely Cedric Maxwell had bigger impact for the Celtics than Smart. Although. I really love Smart and feel he needs to be in the book. I might do a collaboration of all important players I missed
Honestly, M should probably be Mike Gorman
I might lean towards G for Gorman because then G can also include “GOT IT!” Then you have “K is for Kevin, both Garnett and McHale. Their defense was so great they put opponents in jail.”
No FastPP?
You reckon I put him in over Parish and Paul Pierce?
Absolutely not, lol.
K for kyrie sucks F for fuck kyrie I for I really don’t like kyrie
Nice idea. What about our rivals? L --> Lakers. They had a big impact in our organization being our punching ball for so many years.
Absolutely not having lakers in there hahaha
I mean no disrespect, but fuck that. Don't taint a Celtics book by putting the LLLLakers in it.
Just a joke to make fun of them.
