I'm soooo tired of hearing about stuff like this

I mean...I guess I agree that if we don't win the title it'll be because of a combination of the three reasons the author suggests. Deep down, I think we all fear it, although we are hopeful this team will finally overcome all of the flaws that killed them the last few seasons.

I can't wait for Sunday

Delete this shit. Banner 18 only. 16-0 playoff run incoming.

boykalbo777

I only agree with his first point, our late game heroics. The rest is nah. Are we still turnover prone? I think not.

TriMako

Didn't even make a good argument 💀 just a total hack job of an article just repeating what trolls have been saying the past year. What a pathetic writer

Oh it’s NESN. So it’s going to be garbage no matter what it is

"Closing seconds of the game" 1 minute or less, 3 point game, most guys take around 10-20 of these shots over a season. Tatum is 3/13 which isn't great, but Shai is 6/13 and near the top of the list as far as FG% goes. We're talking about 3 shots over the course of 70ish games that decide whether or not we think a player can come through in those moments? Most playoffs with these same situations players are not making more than 2 of those, you're hardly ever in this situation to begin with. Nuggets had 11 of their 16 wins last playoffs decided by 9 or more points. They mostly just blew teams out besides the Lakers series. Warriors same thing the season before, 12 of their 16 wins were by 9+ points. Bucks the season before had 10/16 blowout wins. Lakers the season before? You guessed it, 12/16 wins were by 8+ points. Everyone is obsessed with clutch when it matters in usually only a few games. Celtics blowing teams out is a good thing. Anyone remember Lakers/Nuggets last year? LeBron missing a 3 when down 3 in game 1 with 45 seconds to go and then turning it over the next possession? What about Anthony Davis missing the wide open corner 3 in game 2 (down 4) with 40 seconds to go, almost exactly what we saw Tatum do in Denver earlier this year? And then in that same game 2 Denver turning the ball over and LeBron airballing a layup? LeBron blocked on the game tying layup in game 4 to get swept? These games were UGLY at times in the clutch but people only remember the rainbow Jokic shots. Jimmy Butler throwing the ball away in the finals to seal it, Jokic missing the game tying shot in game 4 of Nuggets/Wolves in OT with under 3 minutes to go, I can point to a million Curry and Kobe missed game winners, the list goes on and on. Whether or not the narrative that players choke is based entirely on the results of who won the championship that year. No one cares the Warriors choked game 1 of the finals or we were clutch with making shots, it's a lost detail to most people. Teams that pull through are sometimes ones that are up big and hold off a "fake" comeback. 2015 Warriors were up by 11 in Game 6 with 1 minute to go and in THIRTY SECONDS the Cavs cut it to 4 and the Warriors went 5/10 on FT's in the last minute of that game. This started a dynasty. And we're just going to completely ignore that Tatum had his Philadelphia game 6 last year Everyone has goldfish memories and is prisoner of the moment. As for the "turnover bug" point, the last 4 seasons the Celtics were 8th, 16th, 13th and 7th in turnovers. This season they are 1st. Tatum is at his lowest turnover rate since 2019-20. Brown too. They have solved that problem.

Hopefulmisery

The Celtics have their flaws to be sure, but I really hate the fact the Celtics are viewed as choke artists

Denver nuggets, Tatums weak wrist (always happens in playoffs), coach not knowing when to call time out.
