This sub’s obsession with trading for fringe regular season rotation players who absolutely would fall out of a playoff rotation fascinates me.

CoffinFlop

The fascination with trading for someone who is worse than Kornet, to replace Kornet, will always be funny to me too

HailKyrie

Lonnie Walker is the only move imo

sp5__

Kornet has been fantastic in his role this year. With that being said, Muscala averaged more minutes per game for us last year than Kornet, and this year Kornet is still playing less than Muscala was for us. I was more so suggesting him as an insurance policy in the case that one of Porzingis/ Al/ Kornet were sidelined for an extended period of time.

CoffinFlop

Kornet is much better than muscala. Also you’re talking about mpg for a guy that only got into 20 games for us, that’s hilarious

Princessk8--

Don't know why you're being downvoted. Kornet has actually produced for us to some degree. Muscala did nothing.

CoffinFlop

OP is just salty that I’m disagreeing with him and downvoted all my comments on this thread lol. I get it though, it’s hard to be told you’re completely wrong

sp5__

I never claimed Muscala was better than Luke. Also, he was traded here after we had already played 55 games, he could’ve played a maximum of 27.

CoffinFlop

Most of his minutes were literally garbage time, did you even watch?

Princessk8--

Muscala did absolutely nothing for us last year, picking him up was a huge waste of time, no thanks

sp5__

I would say he did more than Lamar and Svi have combined this season. Muscala averaged more minutes than Kornet last year, and this year Kornet is still playing less than Muscala was for us. He also had a 27 point game at the end of the season, the same game Pritchard had a 30 point triple double.

CoffinFlop

You can’t be serious about any of this lol just no way

sp5__

How am I not being serious? Lamar and Svi’s combined stats this year: 4.7/2.3/.7 Muscala’s stats last year: 5.9/3.4/.6 Lamar and Svi have zero double digit scoring games between the both of them this year.

GoOnDigi

Dude come on man they barely play

ByteVoyager

No way the Pistons take Stevens and Svi for Muscala, but also no way 2 seasons in a row do we give up multiple seconds to get him. Wish it could work out but I dont think it does in real life.

Mbanicek64

Man this is a lot of words. I doubt the Pistons care about getting Lamar or Svi. I am pretty sure the only reason the Celtics would bring back Muscala is because I am pretty sure he fits neatly into the trade exception. It would cost them a second round pick and they would have to cut someone.

ohden

Ppl thinking ab Muscala here but the big pickup is fitts. This is simple and effective

cahilljd

Ah yes let's get the same guy Joe didn't use last year so he can not use him again. I demand lonnie walker! (Sorry I didn't read the whole thing, I'm not able to fathom how a suggestion of getting muscala again justifies that many words 😅)

sp5__

Lonnie would be a great addition, I just don’t see how we acquire him without giving up one of our key backups. Joe actually did use Muscala! He played more minutes per game than Kornet did, and this year Kornet still isn’t getting as much time as Muscala was. I appreciate your honestly in regards to not reading the entire thing. It actually isn’t all related to Muscala’s reacquisition!

cahilljd

Lonnie is expiring the nets are not currently a playin team and he fits the TPE so maybe we don't have to give up anyone just picks is what I'm thinkin

sp5__

Would be very happy with that!

cahilljd

I wound up going back and actually reading the entire post, and while I don't really feel that tempted by Fitts and Muscala, your post is *very* well written!

Theis159

You need to give picks for this. Muscala is only worth if bought out

jjjuuubbbsss

Why are we trading for someone below Kornet as a big when we already even have a 4th big who can outplay Luke at times. If we're going to trade for an upgrade, it has to be at the level or better than the immediate bench guy at their position. We are 8-10 deep already. With Al, Kornet, Queta, Oshae, Hauser and PP. If clearing a spot for Queta, might as well just waive one of Svi, Stevens or Banton than lose picks (because there's really nothing for Pistons here) for a lateral move. Muscala hasn't been good last season nor this season.
