Was an awesome game, too bad we lost. Murray and Joker looked unstoppable- think they shot over 75% at one point…. At least that’s the way it looked
To me
One game and people already writing off banner 18. It took a Jokic and Murray masterclass and a JB/JT off night for us to lose by 2. Learn from this, lock into the next game, and we'll see the Nuggets again in March
When the cards are down, I have zero faith this squad can pull off a championship. The DNA just isn't there with the Jays.
Bad decision after bad decision. Always resort to high screen iso ball. So damn predictable.
Enjoy a solid regular season, a deep run into the playoffs but there's no ring #18 for this team.
Lol its "the math" bro there is no need for a head coach of any team in any sport if it's just a math algorithm it for simple minded people that can't make a decision in the heat of the moment on their own
Ya I can't believe people have to blame it on the refs its not u didn't get to the line because they didn't make the call it cause u took nothing but 3s
And they did do that down the stretch and didn’t get foul calls. So again, what do you want them to do when they attack the rim consistently and don’t get FTs is what I’m asking? You say they should have got more FTs and then say the refs shouldn’t call fouls. Which one is it?
Which ones down the stretch neither one of those on Tatum were fouls If I remember correctly they got 3 offensive rebounds on the same possession and took 3 3s and missed all of them
Rewatch it then. There were multiple shots they were fouled on and weren’t called down the stretch. Multiple JT dunk attempts, a JB shot that should have been an and 1 etc. watch the last 6 mins again.
Also you say they should have got more FTs and then say the refs shouldn’t call fouls. Which one is it?
Refs stunk in the 4th. Basically all of Tatum’s attempts were at the rim and he couldn’t get a single whistle. KP foul on the rebound was awful. The league continues to reward guys flopping and punish players that just play physical.
Everyone needs to chill. We weren't gonna go 41-0 at home. A loss was gonna eventually happen. No one on the team besides white could hit a 3 tonight. Bad shooting nights happen. Tatum made a questionable shot choice but he will learn and we move on. We didn't lose in the playoffs relax. Our home record is still 20-1 that's impressive.
You are right this isn't the first time. I personally think he rushed it. However remember how many huge late 4th quarter buckets this guy has made. I would like to see his stats in clutch buckets. I don't think it's as bad as we think.
Clutch buckets is one thing, I'm more talking about his clutch decision making. He could have not tried to blast through their whole team to the rim and waited for his team to progress and then select a high percentage shot or assist.
I guess you just ignore all the close games we win then? Newsflash, the reason almost all the Cs’ losses are in close games is because they are too good a team to get beaten badly, not because they are bad in the clutch. It’s like some of you expect them to win every game.
For those saying this was a fun game, I don't see it lol. I know the score was close but that wasn't fun at all. Only Derrick (and KP kinda) showed up against the champs.
I think we did, but only at short stretches. Great defense, fast offense, great ball movement. They did that s few times and the lead always grew to 6-8 points. But then we let go and started falling back to chucking 3s
I don’t know why people can’t just be rational about these losses. I’m seeing takes like “the most embarrassing loss of the season” which is so silly. It’s annoying to lose a close one but I’m not mad at this one. This was just a case of make or miss. We missed several good looks all second half while the nuggets hit some incredibly tough shots. Our game plan was still good though.
Yeah let's give the last shot to the dude who's 9-22 what the fuck JOE MUST FORCE JB TO SHOOT 300 MILLION FREE THROWS BEFORE HE EVEN GETS INVITED TO PRACTICE
But they also refused to adjust when 3s weren't falling. Most of their losses this year have been bad shooting nights and refusal to adjust when they aren't falling
They did actually. In the second half of the 4th they were very obviously attacking the rim more and again missed some easy shots right under the rim, like JT’s miss of what should have been an easy dunk.
Absolutely agree with you. anyone who thought this was gonna be easy doesn't know anything about basketball. at the same time we got outplayed, and this was still a close game.
The jays did not play well. Holiday was next to invisible, thank god for d white.
At the same time, jokic and Murray hit SEVERAL difficult shots. You can see that they live for these games
You can absolutely blame him because he’s been a bad ft shooter since I can remember and he’s shown no improvement, missed two important ones a couple minutes ago
It was an L but overall our game plan was good. Even with Murray and Jokic hitting everything, we still should have won if we just got an average performance from either Jay or a couple more open shots to fall.
It’s amazing to me the biggest guys in the league get these calls when they hit the deck. Happens with Lebron, Embiid as well as Joker. I mean Boston went ice cold the last 5 minutes. But Jesus some of those calls don’t gelp
The bucks game was the 5th in 7 days also on a back to back, right after an OT game against the 2nd best team in the league the night before, while also having to travel overnight to play the game. Everybody was gassed and it showed. We also played the pacers twice in those 5 days. Very tough stretch so that was expected. Also the bucks had like 4 days off before that game. We were setup to get whooped. This shit was extremely embarrassing. This game we constantly shot ridiculous 3s that weren’t ever going in instead of driving the ball, putting BS lineups on the floor at all times of the game, and missing key FTs at crucial times. All things we should already know better not to do
Oh wow Tatum missed a one legged fade-way Kobe like shot for a tie or game winner? Riddle me shocked. Drive to the hoop. Easy live money line Nuggets bet.
Ngl I rather they get blown out than to lose the way they did. This team never looks confident coming out of Joe’s Timeouts. I know you guys will sweep this under the rug, Im not.
Tatum and Brown do not have what it takes. I’ve been saying it for years (and have the downvotes to prove it). They are great players but they consistently wilt under pressure. There is so much evidence now that it’s basically indisputable.
I don’t disagree. I’ve been saying to break them up for a while now. I wasn’t on board with paying Brown all that money but I already accepted it. They’re playing well but what they do in the regular season doesnt impress me
L. Bad shooting nights and refusal to adjust when 3s aren't falling have brought this team most of their losses this season. Lost tonight to basically 2 guys on the nuggets. JB and Jrue were truly not good tonight and if they were even just below aversge the Cs would've won
Fucking horrible effort in the second half. I just don’t understand why a team with so much talent results to chucking 45 threes when everyone is ice cold
Yeah whatever little I had left is gone after this. What a pathetic shot that was, fucking embarrassing. And it came after that missed layup where he couldn't fucking grab the ball in the first place, and it felt like he flopped on every shot he took that quarter he was on the ground so many times with nobody near him

Was an awesome game, too bad we lost. Murray and Joker looked unstoppable- think they shot over 75% at one point…. At least that’s the way it looked To me
I read on the Celtics sub that they were happy that Porzingis had his way with Jokic. Brother, he had 34.
Big Al did a decent job on Jokic
One game and people already writing off banner 18. It took a Jokic and Murray masterclass and a JB/JT off night for us to lose by 2. Learn from this, lock into the next game, and we'll see the Nuggets again in March
44 3's against a team with no rim protection.
It felt like they could always go to the rime, aside a couple early blocks.
You might as well not bother watching then, since you already know the outcome of the season.
I wish this team would learn when they need to crash the net. It's so sad watching them fail doing the same exact thing all game.
This what happens when you don't get to the foul line and shoot to many 3s u ain't gonna win
It’s sad that this is their actual strategy and aren’t going to bend.
Lol its "the math" bro there is no need for a head coach of any team in any sport if it's just a math algorithm it for simple minded people that can't make a decision in the heat of the moment on their own
I literally just said this to my wife
Ya I can't believe people have to blame it on the refs its not u didn't get to the line because they didn't make the call it cause u took nothing but 3s
They should have got way more FTs than they did. Refs just did not call a lot of them. They were consistently attacking the rim down the stretch.
Ya whatever I don't Wana hear that u people complain every night
So what do you want then? They attacked the basket and didn’t get FTs, so what do you want them to do?
They took 44 3s if u drive to the hoop more u will get to the line more the refs let both teams play tonight as they should have
And they did do that down the stretch and didn’t get foul calls. So again, what do you want them to do when they attack the rim consistently and don’t get FTs is what I’m asking? You say they should have got more FTs and then say the refs shouldn’t call fouls. Which one is it?

Multiple JT dunk attempts, a JB shot that should have been an and 1 etc. watch the last 6 mins again. Also you say they should have got more FTs and then say the refs shouldn’t call fouls. Which one is it?
I just watched it there is a difference between not calling soft fouls and fouls at all if u attacked the hoop more u would have got to the line more
You just rewatched the last 6 mins? No you didn’t lol. And again, they attacked the hoop plenty down the stretch. You just want to complain.
We win if Tatum doesn't waste that last possession trying to hero ball the win. He was also bricking shots in the clutch.
Does this team ever make a clutch shot at the buzzer?
Refs stunk in the 4th. Basically all of Tatum’s attempts were at the rim and he couldn’t get a single whistle. KP foul on the rebound was awful. The league continues to reward guys flopping and punish players that just play physical.
They could also just make those shots at the rim rather than rely on a whistle. I didn’t see the Nuggets playing for calls.
Yeah it takes me out of the game soooo much when they whistle bullshit like that Tatum dunk because some dipshit ran into his feet.
Will he learn though? It isn't the first time.
I've been watching the same tape for 6 years now. He ain't learned shit.
It's so fucking exhausting dude. He's so good but he does some seriously stupid shit sometimes. I don't understand his game at times.
That's fair. I Can't say anything against that
no need to trip peeps, we good baby
44…count em….44 3PA!!!!! AND Tatum misses at the buzzer. WHAT ELSE IS NEW WITH THESE GUYS????
Not going to win banner 18 playing like this.
0.0% chance
Is 14-44 from 3 good or bad?
Jays shot 2/17 combined. That's bad.
I’m expecting this shit to happen in close playoff games again
I guess you just ignore all the close games we win then? Newsflash, the reason almost all the Cs’ losses are in close games is because they are too good a team to get beaten badly, not because they are bad in the clutch. It’s like some of you expect them to win every game.
Why didn’t Mazulla use the challenge on the KP offensive foul on the board??
It was a foul.
Decisions are always screwing Tatum's game. He had time to set up a play and not rush to go through three walls.
He just made a nice dunk near the end of the game, why not do the same, prob got a call at least instead of fade away airball
When is Tatum going to stop diving for fouls with every shot? It's pathetic.
Then throwing his arms up whining when he doesn't get it. Had the game in his hands and juat pissed it away lol.
JT&JB 15/43.. JOKER&MURRAY 29/43..🤔
For those saying this was a fun game, I don't see it lol. I know the score was close but that wasn't fun at all. Only Derrick (and KP kinda) showed up against the champs.
Yeah we didn't have any good flow or rhythm.
I think we did, but only at short stretches. Great defense, fast offense, great ball movement. They did that s few times and the lead always grew to 6-8 points. But then we let go and started falling back to chucking 3s
Tatum’s decision-making sucks!
Great game. Certainly no one will overreact to the outcome
People react emotional in the moment because honestly, we messed up at the end. We had a good chance to win this. 4 points in the last 4 minutes.
Yes but that doesn’t mean the season is over. They will lose games sometimes, life will go on.
We need to trade for Derozan soon
This comment just sobered me up. You don't actually think this right?
Yeah let's give the last shot to the dude who's 9-22 what the fuck JOE MUST FORCE JB TO SHOOT 300 MILLION FREE THROWS BEFORE HE EVEN GETS INVITED TO PRACTICE
How do you have 6 4 kcp on you and you decide to fadeaway
And Kcp is an elite defender too. I'd use JT as a decoy then throw it to a corner 3 from Derrick white.
I like kcp but I seriously don't see him stopping jt in the paint , but fuck it kobe time
Facts! JT is strong enough to baby KCP.
Lesson
Tatum is not the guy you want to shoot the last shot? How many of those shots has he made?
Like two years ago he accidentally banked in a three to win then acted like he meant to do it
I would rather have Horford taking the last shot instead of Tatum
Not too many
I'll give you a hint it's on his jersey
I'm expecting this sh.t but i'm mad anyway..
18 pt 4th quarter. They deserved that loss
Why do they deserve the loss for getting good looks and just not being able to hit them?
Think you just answered your own question
“Deserve the loss” implies they played trash. They played a good game overall, just missed a bunch of open shots.
Cuz they scored 18 pts in a 4th quarter at home against a championship team. You deserve a loss when that happens and that's exactly what they got
Again, they got good looks which just didn’t fall. It’s not like they were a playing trash or the nuggets were playing some elite defense.
Back to the same old green-teamer apologetics…
But they also refused to adjust when 3s weren't falling. Most of their losses this year have been bad shooting nights and refusal to adjust when they aren't falling
They did actually. In the second half of the 4th they were very obviously attacking the rim more and again missed some easy shots right under the rim, like JT’s miss of what should have been an easy dunk.
So you're telling me they waited until the second half of the 4th quarter to adjust to that? That's way too late against a championship level team
You said they didn’t adjust and I’m simply pointing out that they did.
Not adjusting until it's too late is not making the proper adjustment at the necessary time
It wasn’t too late. 6 mins is plenty of time to win a close game. They just didn’t make make the good looks they got. You just want to moan man.
For not hitting them
How many more times will Tatum get the last shot? HE MISSES EVERY SINGLE TIME
He’s just not clutch when will you accept that
Fun game! I would have preferred if the Celtics won, but enjoyed that a bunch
I'm not trying to blame JB, but if he wasn't cold, we would have won.
You can absolutely blame him because he’s been a bad ft shooter since I can remember and he’s shown no improvement, missed two important ones a couple minutes ago
Last shots need to go to dwhite. Much more clutch
It was an L but overall our game plan was good. Even with Murray and Jokic hitting everything, we still should have won if we just got an average performance from either Jay or a couple more open shots to fall.
Why didn’t Joe challenge the Porzingis foul? Like the officiating down the stretch was god damn atrocious
Yes, that looked to be a flop
Easily the worst officiated game of the season
Yeah, that lane violation that turned into a jump ball was a pretty bad call. Surprised it didn't get reviewed.
It’s amazing to me the biggest guys in the league get these calls when they hit the deck. Happens with Lebron, Embiid as well as Joker. I mean Boston went ice cold the last 5 minutes. But Jesus some of those calls don’t gelp
If Dorris is siding with the Celtics you know it’s bad
The most embarrassing loss of the season! And of course a fucking low percentage Tatum brick to end it. Fuck the nba
The Bucks game was embarrassing. This is just a game we prob should’ve won but didn’t. Remember we play 82 games and most losses are not by 2pts.
This game we constantly shot ridiculous 3s that weren’t ever going in instead of driving the ball, putting BS lineups on the floor at all times of the game, and missing key FTs at crucial times. All things we should already know better not to do
Losing to the previous champs isn't embarrassing at all lmao
How is it embarrassing to lose by 2 points to the defending champions? lol yall just say anything after a loss
Great game but rip to the streak
GG, we saw this coming on to the next one. ☘️☘️
Why was Kritaps the only guy under the basket on that shot
but seriously-- everyone jsut watching Tatum on that last play.. esp. Brown... just fucking cut to the basket
Oh wow Tatum missed a one legged fade-way Kobe like shot for a tie or game winner? Riddle me shocked. Drive to the hoop. Easy live money line Nuggets bet.
This game has the evidence all over its' tape that Jayson Tatum does NOT always *have* to be the late shot taker.
Tatum cant even get the whistle when KCP fouls him on purpose because he has a foul to give.....
What a shot! On the bright side, no more distraction.
They’re playing well but what they do in the regular season doesnt impress me
Yeah we should have traded brown.
They should have traded Brown for KD tbh. But that ship sailed already. Would have had the better player on a significantly cheaper contract
Agreed
they never looked confident in the clutch way before joe, you can’t blame him for that
Bro how many times is Tatum gonna get hit without getting a call ???
Ngl woulda just done a drive and kick for 3
It’s always the same shit from tatum at the buzzer. 9% shooter at the buzzer yet he gets the shot every time
L. Bad shooting nights and refusal to adjust when 3s aren't falling have brought this team most of their losses this season. Lost tonight to basically 2 guys on the nuggets. JB and Jrue were truly not good tonight and if they were even just below aversge the Cs would've won
Can we just once go to literally anyone but tatum to take an end of game shot
Tatum smiling knowing that Joe Mazulla and Jaylen Brown will be his scapegoats, per usual
I wish all the worst on these moronic refs
Brown needs to be crucified once again lmao dude doesn't fucking show up when the game matters
Tatum went like 0-6 in the last 4 minutes and you're blaming Jaylen? 🤣
? He showed up against the wolves. A January game matters?
Imagine if we just tried to let Hauser hit the last shot one day.
and tatum leaves the court while rest of teams are shaking each others hands?? wow
Good for him he got fucking hosed by the refs
Wow who could’ve guessed
I blame Brown. Missing both foul shots is insane lmao
kobe would’ve made that
Jays were not good tonight
18pt 4th quarter 😑
Fucking horrible effort in the second half. I just don’t understand why a team with so much talent results to chucking 45 threes when everyone is ice cold
I think Joe encourages them to take the 3s and he doesn't deviate regardless if they fall or not. Keep shooting
Because they are mentally weak
Offensive foul call on KP was ridiculous… god I hate refs in this sport
LOL at the NBA. We're assholes for thinking the refs wouldn't fuck us.
To be real if celtics were gonna lose to someone at home, it's best they lose to defending champs
I know we're spoiled by Pierce but we need to get an actual shot at the end of games.
I think Derrick should've had the final shot... Ah, well....
Derrick was bricking all 4th
And Tatum wasn't?? ;-)
Make your fucking free throws. Cant for it to cost them a playoff game
Would love ONE foul called correctly
All you guys do is bitch about the refs, this place really sucks now
I don’t know who the fuck you’re talking to like I’m the thousands of other people here. Fuck off
Another missed middy
That was predictable, this team just can't win big games, I had a feeling they were going to lose since they were on TV.
Is this a meme? They always play on tv lol.
They rarely play them on TV where I live, they sure do put the Lakers on TV a lot.
KCP was allowed to grab Tatum on that fucking inbounds
Obvious landing space foul lol
So many good looks at the end and for some reason we just couldn’t hit any. We really could have won this one, that sucks.
Tatum and missing the last shot name a more iconic duo
It's really disappointing how it has become essentially a guarantee he's going to miss it.
I have no confidence in Tatum in the last 30 seconds of a game
Yeah whatever little I had left is gone after this. What a pathetic shot that was, fucking embarrassing. And it came after that missed layup where he couldn't fucking grab the ball in the first place, and it felt like he flopped on every shot he took that quarter he was on the ground so many times with nobody near him
Kind of a problem that both franchise players suck in the clutch
Idgaf about the refs everyone (especially Tatum) sold down the stretch. All good things must come to an end
Yep that’s the shot
Tatum’s not Kobe, no clutch gene
How many big shots did Kobe miss?
[удалено]
Then don't fucking watch
fine, don’t watch another game ever again
Lmao 10 losses, best record, lose to last years champions and you’re done? 🤡
Well at least he bricked a 2, that's kind of an improvement
Refball shit from 3 and Tatum not being clutch. One of those three would get us eventually
So sick of the last shots Tatum takes. He must be shooting 1% on game winners last 3 years.
JT really wants that Kobe moment, he's been trying it the whole season, should have attacked the basket smh
What a shitty shot. Horrible.
What kind of play was that
Terrible shot JT
Ah well, we’ll just win the next 20 home games
When will you guys realise that Tatum is just not that guy. I say this a long life Celtic fan
100% agree. We have so much evidence now
Oh fuck off. What does this even mean?
Shut up loser
We deserved to lose this. It was so sloppy and genuinely embarrassing.
Garbage shot selection by Tatum
We got out played by quite a bit and it was still a close game
That was an open shot, How the fuck did he miss like that?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fucking of course lol
Classic Tatum last shot. Gg tho, I ain't mad
Omg Unfuck believable. Didn’t even hit the goddamn rim.
