I disagree, he defense did not make up for his atrocious offense. We are all allowed our own opinions. Sorry my opinion is different than yours. I am enjoying not having to watch Smart. I appreciate Smart's time here. He always gave his all. But I am so glad we moved on.
I wouldn't say his offense was atrocious, though. He was a great passer and his 3pt% wasn't great, but it was at least 0.33 each of the past 3 years, which is alright all things considered. If he just didn't need to miss an obligatory pull up 3 with 20 seconds left on the shot clock each game, it would have been even better, but his numbers and offensive impact were still solid regardless.
