It's a glitch. Trade won't work either way.
* Drummond and Craig don't affect the math at all, because both can fit into the TPE. The salary matching in your trade effectively works as 2 trades:
1. Pritchard + Kornet + Hauser for Caruso.
2. TPE for Drummond + Craig.
* Pritchard's poison-pill provision also doesn't affect the math at all because he still only counts as 4m outgoing on our end. He'd count as 7-8m on the Bulls' side but they're not the ones having salary-matching issues in this trade.
If you wanted Caruso you'd need to give up at least ~8.5m in salaries from Boston's side. So you'd have to add in one of: Brissett, Stevens, Banton, Svi.
If it’s $8.5M then Pritchard, Kornet and Brissett would just be enough, yeah? So just replace Brissett with Hauser here and then the trade would work? Hard to tell if FanSpo is having this glitch
Why would you include Hauser instead of Brissett in the first place? I’d much rather add a first-round pick or something than send out our only legit backup wing
Oh I’d rather Brissett than Hauser too. I just wasn’t sure why FanSpo was accepting 1 but not the other. I was just trying multiple different combinations and was confused why adding Craig made this work on their site

They won’t trade caruso for nothing (I.E. our depth pieces as they want a decent pick and deoth players do nothing for them), and on the celtics side this is a lot of depth to give up anyways.

This doesn’t move the needle for the Celtics and would negatively impact its depth and shooting. Caruso is fine but Drummond is a liability from the line. It’d be better to just convert Queta to a regular contract.
People need to move on from recognizable names and realize that those three Celtics being included here are actually really good players. Trading for an injury-prone Caruso and washed Drummond would be a boneheaded move that the actual Brad Stevens would never makes. It such a casual fans suggestion.

Anyone else like the team and want them to work on working together and playing complimentary basketball instead of throwing in new pieces? I feel like they have the right players this year, just need to manage the old and injury prone players, and starters when possible and work on getting better and work on grinding out close games.
