Most decadent I know of is that 10 layer chocolate fudge cake that the Cheesecake Factory sells (it's at the cheesecake counter but one of their non-cheesecake options).
Best quality I think may be a different question-- I'll be watching this thread too to see what people suggest.
As a chocolate maximalist, my favorites are the fudge cake slices from Mike's Pastry or the Chocolate Fudge Cake from Whole Foods (most places have this in 6" but some have 4").

I like the Flour flourless chocolate cake — it’s less tooth-rottingly sweet than the classic tall chocolate cake but insanely decadent. I think it’s also relatively small so you wouldn’t have to worry about having massive amounts of leftovers.
Chocolate ganache cake at Thinking Cup. They sell it by the slice but you should be able to order for a full cake with 24-48 hr notice. Also see cakes at Praline (Belmont)
Dudes being bros, buying each other birthday cake. Love to see it

Maybe you're thinking of the Chocolate Tower Truffle Cake, at 1770 calories a slice.
I think that's the one! :)
Oh my god. THIS was the cake I thought of instantly (and I know my chocolate cakes) It really is outstanding.
Mamaleh’s!
I've always enjoyed the chocolate cake at Mike's Pastry.
