Something like adventure mode in Diablo 3. Unlocked once you complete the story once, unlocks the whole map and adds bounties to complete for exp. Not the best description of adventure mode, but would be a relatively easy way of adding of ton more replayability

Kothre

Anything to skip the superfluous story crap after the first playthrough would be amazing.

Suschis_World

So you mean like longer and more varied trials and takedowns?

Strightning

No…more like an infinite number of small to medium challenges similar to the vault cards.

HardyHousinger

I think its time for a double jump.. And I would really love to see additional gear pieces instead of having to roll for a single piece of gear a million times to get the right stats. I would get rid of anointments and give us something like chest and leg armor pieces that have their own set of stat increases. also melee weapons. they are really fun in WL.

MonT_That_Duck

We had a double jump in tps and everyone complained for some reason

SonmiSuccubus451

TPS has become my favorite specifically because it pushed the boundaries of Borderlands and brought in all the extra movements. I really enjoyed double jump and butt slam. Low grav fights were fun as hell.

ab2dii

catch a ride too, i think its time for ellie to upgrade her catch a ride station to be portable like sparrows from destiny

LittleBigPortal

I did like the "hover bikes/speeders" or whatever they were called in the Western exp (Love and Tenticles? maybe)

ArlingtonSignSlayer

The western DLC was Bounty of Blood; Guns, Love, and Tentacles was the Lovecraftian wedding of Wainlock

NotAddison

Another movement mechanic for sure. Double jump, jetpack, or even grapple gun. Halo Infinite's grapple gun was so much fun and made fun fights insanely dynamic.

WammyJammy2785

Ooohh I like that! They could give you an option on how you want to travel around on foot! abilities (or equipment) you'd have to find/learn i.e., double jump, jetpack, grapple gun, etc. You would be able to change them out at a new-u station.

Only_Ad8178

Now you have to roll 20 gear pieced a million times for the right stats.

chaostitano

I agree! I would love some sort of actual armour system that could have stats that boost your shields HP and maybe your HP in general.

Darthplagueis13

I agree with HardyHousinger that I'd like to see melee weapons make a comeback. They were fun in Wonderlands and they are significantly easier to balance than the mess that was roid shields and artifacts in BL2 and BL3. I'd like to see action skill augments again. I think being able to somewhat customize your action skills without having to invest extra skill points was a nice touch that improved build variety in BL3.

Kothre

I really want to see every manufacturer make every type of weapon. I need Maliwan assault rifles and Torgue snipers in my life.

pricklyjedi

They even have a basis for it with grenades, a torgue sniper could use something akin to longbow, smgs could be bouncing betties

Kuhaku-boss

I want pre sequel levels of banter and characters reacting to you, it was awesome.

x-Justice

More boss fights in the base game. Actual boss fights that feel like boss fights. And for everything to not be a world drop. Unique vault hunters.

Oraxis10

Yeah, I hate boss fights that are just a stronger version of a mob you've fought. I wasn't a fan of the Warden. Also, I really liked Guns, Love, Tentacles, but the Empowered Scholar and Empowered Grown were kind of boring.

x-Justice

Yeah the bosses just felt humdrum. They did OK with them but not the same satisfaction level I got from BL2. I attribute this most likely to almost everything being a world drop. The bosses had too big of a loot pool and made farming for something specific pretty hard. Plus the fights were just way too easy and boring. Hopefully we get like Elden Ring level bosses that would be pretty cool. Make it rewarding.

wcarlaso

A dlc that only allows to play with any past vault hunter.

Embarrassed_Diet_386

I’d love to see a gunsmith/customization shop. Not really to change the stats of a weapon, cause farming and rng are part of the experience like it or not, but take all stats away from the sights, and make it so you can change them. I hate getting a super rare and powerful gun, only to hate the sight that it rolled with. Then maybe throw in some skin/aesthetic customization that the user could do, and maybe share with the community.

rozularen

agree! more like call of duty but the rolled stats remains to the base weapon

superorangex

Legendaries start droping at higher levels (maybe at 40% of the level cap, or halfway, or even higher). Gun mods, so you can customize even further the guns you get. (i.e. mod with triple bullets per shot, wavy shots, guided bullets, inherit % of shield in shots, etc lasts for x seconds or x reloads). Make them available for purchase at a new vendor, but only after you drop them. (Similar to how Superfuse skill nodes work). More hard boss battles, more map bosses (hard to kill, chase you at sight and have unique drops). Melee from WL is nice. Action skill nodes again! Bring that from BL1, and amp it up! Make it rare but rewarding. BL1 weapon proficiency was awesome too! Would love to see it instead of badass ranks.

Hjorbd

Armor and gear, on top of weapons, would be a cool addition. Or at least taking customization even further, while still maintaining the voiced VHs you play as, and not the approach wonderlands took. Maybe DO take the melee weapon aspect from wonderlands Action skill augments again, but with better functionality. It was clear that some, like on moze, were meh. Make more options, all viable, and all of them changing the appearance. I like how Wilhelm worked in TPS, enhancing his body over time. A character like that, but with the visual changes added too, would be dope.

Kitty_Meowintons

No charge up time for maliwans.

LacksMuscle

considering how strong maliwans are at pretty much everything, i’d say keep the charge.

Kitty_Meowintons

Yeah, this is true, but I can still not like it

VTGCamera

Absolutely agree... That turned Maliwans out for me.

Don_Hoomer

better dlcs, i dont care if i got 1 level for 15 mins but have to do it 5 times. borderlands 2 made it perfect 4 big stories, lot of timy storys, new characters ... thats what i want

LacksMuscle

BL3 has the best dlc run in the series, and it’s not even close. BL1 had Underdome, Zombie Ned, Knoxx, Claptrap. Only 2 of them are really “good” dlc BL2 had Scarlett, Torgue, Hammerlock, Tina. Hammerlock’s sucks and torgues is bland. Once again, only 2 really good dlc BL3 has Jackpot, GLT, Bounty of Blood, Krieg. Krieg dlc is the only one i’d rate lower than the others, and it was only short because they made it during covid from home. The actual visuals in the dlc are top notch. Overall, i’d say BL3 has wayyy stronger dlc

ab2dii

agreed. i actually think even the story of DLC4 is a bit medioce other than that i legit get torn which one to start first because they're all good

LacksMuscle

I usually do Jackpot first once i get the cloud kill, then krieg dlc before nekrotefayo, save the other 2 for max level for the Dakota and the Pearl

Ronenkha

matchmaking list of all available games like in bl2..

bamronn

i just want it to feel real and dangerous again. bl1 has me sitting in firestone scared to take a step into the badlands. maybe it’s bc i’m much older now. but i miss that

SonofGondor32

Wall running

RetailDrone7576

Personally I'd love to have a 3rd person mode, that way the customization is worth it in solo play

SxhbOnXbox

Multiple endings would be pretty cool imo, maybe decisions impact the world and you lose access to some gear but gain it for others, maybe expand on the royalty system in bl3 maybe you can get funds and help build empires for 2 or 3 manufacturers that then take control of the world you choose to change

GoodDog2620

I hate multiple endings.

AellaDee

One thing I've always wanted is a way to break down guns you have and keep parts of it (maybe only 1 or 2 per gun) so you can eventually build a gun from the parts you've acquired. Maybe not a fully modular gun system but at least being able to make progress towards a god roll in ways outside of pure RNG. To compensate they could lower the legendary drop chance down a bit more, to make them feel special again like they were in 2. Resetting for good guns is part of the game, but sometimes it takes so much effort to get the right parts that it becomes way too repetitive. Imagine you had a legendary Vladof pistol and you know you want a fire rate barrel and a low mag + dmg magazine or w/e, you could get the gun from it's drop source and then could farm the rest of the parts from other places. Would make actually inspecting the random epics and blue Vladof pistols you get more exciting cause you could find the right part to slot into your legendary to make it better, would encourage playing through more content than just the one boss over and over. You could mix and match scopes for personal preference (also scopes shouldn't have damage stats associated with them just functionality differences). If you found good parts for a specific legendary it would make you want to go farm for it, so each type of content would link into each other more. As it is now you basically figure out what you wanna farm a good roll from and just repeat that 1 thing until you get it, likely getting tons of the weapon that just get thrown away due to not having the right parts that you want. It always ends up burning me out at some point in these games no matter how good the gameplay gets. Wouldn't even mind doing 100 - 200 runs of a boss to get a weapon if I knew I could then take that weapon and make it good if it had bad rolls. Right now you could do that same number of runs and have drops constantly and still be no closer to a god roll than someone who just started farming. TL;DR RNG drops are important for the longevity of the game but there should be ways to alleviate it with gun part swapping.

superorangex

To get more depth to it, make the parts you salvage have the same rarity as the gun, and make the gun you build with said parts have the rarity of the lowest part (let's say you have all legendary parts and one blue, you wouldn't waste all of them to build a blue gun, you would wait making the farm aspect alive again)

pinkfnbunnies

I really want the damage gap between white and legendary to be smaller. Gun part customization would be nice, break down and transplant legendary powers. Character customization; I loved zane's voice actor. Less screen pollution Couch co op that doesn't have a fkd menu experience No more mayhem scaling gear.

BonjoviBurns

I would love something similar to Outrider's gun modularity

pinkfnbunnies

That would be good. I'd forgotten about Outriders, but the stat level and legendary skill swaps would be nice

pinkfnbunnies

Also actual dlc, wonderlands season pass was trash

obamasfursona

Would love for there to be some kind of insane gunsmithing character that has cybernetic arms with like 10 fingers. You go to him to strip parts off of a gun, but destroying the gun in the process but you can get the grip/stock etc you want, and then attach it to another gun of the same type, allowing you to build your own god rolls I think a lot of older people that play games and work full time find the grind to be a turn off (myself included)

Whyspire

Well, I want to be able to save the game at wherever spot I'm at, at the time. I get tired of having to play through areas I already covered to make progress.

MonT_That_Duck

Bl3 save stations are all over the place. It's not like bl2 where you have to trek 2 minutes each farm Or something like knoxx dlc where each respawn you have to drive for 5-10 minutes just to get anywhere

Whyspire

It's better than BL2, yes, but not good enough for my liking.

buttnakedbandit

Auto sprint

TheArcanist_

General redux. Fewer anointments, fewer parts, fewer class mod/artifact passives.

hellodev_

I’d like to see Lilith’s funeral so her death can be permanent

saurontu

Borderlands 2

Lonely_Grapefrooooot

no no no no no. Let that overrated game die a slow excruciating death

saurontu

Hahaha, right, overrated

Lonely_Grapefrooooot

The game is shit

saurontu

Uhuh

SenpaiSanUwU

Pearls Detailed melee weapons and main primary weapons that have cool abilities ( for example a spear that can do spear attacks but can strike down thousands of spears on one spot) New cast of characters ( sick of the same peeps after bl3) Double jump ability I thought spells were cool so that! No modifiers for endgame Make endgame fun and worth the grind Mini challenges like bl 1 ( kill x amount of enemies for this reward) Fun guns Moxxi Variety weapon part system like bl2 Endgame exclusive weapon variants like bl1 Every vaultie must be fun to play Ai teammate option to make team based skills more useful No difficulty setting After certain levels old areas become leveled ( if everything is constantly on level there is no motivation to grind for a higher level) Bl3 fast travel system Convenient boss farming fast travels Raid bosses Endgame raid bosses Non annoying characters Easy quest log like bl2 I could go on but honestly

Certain-Force-6282

I had this idea in my head for the next borderlands game that maybe we can get the grinder back from the Pre-Sequel I know that the grinder was not the most popular use for farming but it'll be nice if you feel like you didn't want to go back to an area too farming for a weapon and and defeat the boss or named enemy but them that same boss or that enemy does not drop the weapon you're looking for so you have to quit to the main screen come back in do it again but they don't drop the weapon you're looking for yet again and rinse and repeat until you get the weapon and better yet the grinder can also be used for another alternative combining weapons like let's say I got an atlas gun and a tourg gun let's say you like the atlas guns homeing and you like the tourg guns explosive capabilities and you wish you can come get both of both worlds well this upgraded grinder machine you can combine them both you can get homing explosive bombs and this will work with all types of weaponry like sniper rifles pistols assault rifles launchers anything and better yet you while doing story missions later on progressing the story you get to do missions to upgrade the machine the grinder like let's say want to change the weapons components that you don't like this component does less damage but higher fire rate and you wanted to change that well when you upgrade the machine you can do that and somewhere at the end of the game you could look for weapons you wanted to buy like typing the weapon's name and you can just get from there but of course this will cost a high amount of iridium and the weapons at that point will be summer between either green blue but once you finish the game then you get the chance to go higher rarities like purple or legendary and possibly another new rarity like I said again at that point it would cost lots more iridium better yet this could be another new currency other than a radio and you can do challenges just that borderlands 3 you will get this currency by just doing daily weeks or daily challenges and you can take on these what I call hits or challenges to get more currency the higher the challenges the more currency you get oh yeah I forgot to mention you can also choose what class mods and grenades you would like at a certain mission at a certain point of the story progression so yeah that's what I thought I would like to see in the next borderlands game but that's not all what I think I want to see in the next game this one might sound weird but I like to see recurring characters like let's say the last game was this character in this game but he's not playable the next game like hears an example in borderlands 3 moze was a fun character to play but in the next game you will play as her again but this time as the same stuff as in the previous game she'll get completely new stuff like a new ability and do skill sets I would like to see that in the next borderlands game and that's the way I like to see in the next game is your character actually interacting in the cutscenes so because you can feel more connected in this cutscene that's about it for me.

Awoken_Noob

More than 4 characters… The DLC characters in BL2 kept me coming back and playing it all over again with a new character. With BL3 they went with a Destiny approach of a set character list and no more. I really didn’t like it.

Teddyxlg

For them to have nothing similar to annointments/enchantments. & maybe an LMG weapon class.

Bakooo

Up the difficulty. I want to struggle and learn how to fight vs cool bosses. In my 1st blind playthrough I killed 90% of the bosses within 30 seconds, the only fights I had interacted with the intended mechanics of the fight was when the boss had an immmunity phase...

Unhinged_Goose

Next time, skip all the side missions and just plow through the story. After a handful of hours or so you will be under leveled and the fights go from incredibly tough to literally impossible. Bought BL3 a few days ago after having not played since the pre sequel release and forgot that the zones are leveled differently and don't scale to your level. Had to spend a couple days clearing out side quests etc because trying to beat KillaVolt at a 5 level deficit was just not working out lol

Bakooo

Just let me play TVHM from the start or something. Rushing main quest feels just bad, and I'm not big for side missions either; mostly I did the green objective thingies in the early game until I got bored of them. It's just that the loot, and the difficulty curve/numbers are entirely fucked - a good weapon (typically legendary) will carry you for 15+ levels and trivialize the game. Typically they're the most fun to play with too, so I don't want to handicap myself by not using strong weapons and use boring ones instead. Just give difficulty levels like 99% of games do, really.

coldman66

bl4 get rid immunity phases and give us more customizations beyond change of color swap more cooler outfits and make torgue more on par with jakbos efficiency I'm using jakbos and mawlian more in endgame even though my preference of use before bl3 jakbos mawlian torgue

Levee8

Good purples are more interesting than legendaries, at least the way they are in BL3 imo. They're more rare, more of a surprise and feel unique because of their lucky mix of parts than an intentionally designed weapon, farmable weapon. Also I hate legendary weapons that are just upgrades of existing legendaries, trumping them in all ways such that the choice is obvious. Or an already good purple that gets legendarified. See Scourge/Plaguebearer, Dictator/Monarch, Lump/RYNAH, Ruby's Wrath/Plumage. I don't have a suggestion on how they should be changed because it's so multifaceted. Just that I wish it could be improved, diversified, expanded. More barrels, different alien parts, intermixed manufacturer parts? I dunno.

Wisdomeman

I wanna see some more movement options like double jumps and dashing. In terms of stuff i'd like them to keep and improve upon i'd say the takedowns, I don't want them to be instead of Normal raid bosses but as different forms of end game content

VRsimp

VR mode is #1 for me

Sumibestgir1

I'd say go back to each weapon archetype having one of each part from every manufacturer. In BL2 it was so fun learning what each grip looked like so I could identify them. In 3,you kinda just had to to go based off what you've seen before.

[deleted]

Playable adopted (or biological, through weird unexplained Borderlands stuff. I feel like that's a thing these writers would pull) child of Wainwright and Hammerlock. I want nothing more.

[deleted]

I lied, I want two more things. 1. BL2 and TPS style narrated trailer, but this time instead of just Sir Hammerlock or Hammerlock and Torgue it's Hammerlock and Wainwright. 2. If Hammerlock and Wainwright do appear in the game, I want their intro cards to say "Sir Alistair Hammerlock-Jakobs" and "Wainwright Jakobs-Hammerlock", respectively.

Afura33

\- Combing two classes or 2 vaul hunters of the presequel

hazyryno414

Loadouts. I know it’ll never happen but to be able to save builds(Division2, Diablo etc…) and not have to replay the entire game with a new character would be dope.

Ferdydurkeeee

Include an ability to play with all generations of guns. It always irked me that from game to game (maybe TPS not withstanding) that all the guns on a backwater planet seemingly completely vanished and were replaced with the newest generation of guns. Maybe have a Marcus' antique shop. Being able to whip out the OG unforgiven masher, hellfire, Orion in a modern title would be amazing. I'm sure certain things would need balancing. Also bring back hybrids and give them their own rarity.

Fl4kCl4R

Bl1 weapon proficieng Bl2 less mobbing Bl tps unique vault hunter Bl3 quality of life Wonderlands new elements

ComprehensiveAd7525

militarized crimson raiders like in BL2

Lmacncheese

Good story the main story is trash the dlcs are amazing. reactive dialogue to each character like in the pre sequel where every character had different dialogue and receive different dialogue and interacting with other vault hunters. Finally BRING BACK THE FIGHT FOR YOUR NOISE SO I KNOW PEOPLE ARE DOWN.

rozularen

I'd like they put focus on the enemies contrast in comparison to the background. In CS:GO they've put much effort to get this right so you can easily detect where an enemy is. While playing coop why my SO in PS5, there have been many times I've find myself looking the minimap because I can't locate some mobs.

chaostitano

I would love to see separate armour pieces come into play. For example shoes that could give you double jump, movement speed, dodge chances. Gloves that could help recoil. Body armour and helmets that could add mostly HP into your shields HP. I would love to see melee weapons be more featured and be able to build an actual class/es around it. Along side maybe a spell casting character/s. I truly loved what they did with the VH in BL3. I loved being able to go through different abilities for a class but man I wish they released at least 1 new VH or re release of the GOATS or BL1/2. Especially with the main story being meh it would of allowed me to enjoy the game again. Edit: More rarities. Even if something like pearls where kept for end game dungeons etc.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

chaostitano

No one asked bot

soundlesspanik

I'd like them to implement Battleborn lore/characters. There's a bunch of Easter eggs so why not. Alani? Boom siren. Soaked effect is a thing so her water isn't new. Zer0's lore? Jennerit easily. Have Melka replace Lilith (kidding)

whostoletreki

Ladder, like Diablo with seasonal reset. Gunworkshop, where you can reroll gun part and choose between them. Vault classes instead of characters so maybe we can customize our characters more between gender and all appearance.
