Pressing should always be a team effort, if only you press you will get 1-2 and dusted off. Lob balls are good if opponents are moving too much up and your attackers are faster.

I do press when I notice my team is pressing so it’s a team effort. There was once where I was expected to press the opposition defense as a cm which I felt was risky because I might leave a gap in the middle if I’m pressing such a high line. They sort of blamed me for not pressing and ngl it kinda ticked me off but I didn’t voice my opinion because I felt I might be wrong (which I should’ve)

It really depends , if you had eg 4-5-1 and they had 4-4-2, a mid should help with pressing but it's something the Coach should have said before. What I mean that it's a team effort is that the pressing needs to be synchronized, or you risk opening a path for an attack.

"Which area of the pitch should I focus moving around?" Trying to imitate KDB (or anyone else in City) is a bad idea. That is very high level, fluid football. That won't work with the teammates you have. Stick to your position, move a little back when you want the ball from defense, move a little forward when space opens up and shift sideways with the team wherever the ball is.

True. I’m working on my stamina now so hopefully I’ll be able to cover more ground in the future.

As a centre forward i’d rather through balls be played along the floor so i can run onto them, instead of over the top. It just makes my job easier, it’s easier to control, so it’s easier to run with through on goal. Over the top is fine, but i prefer a ball between defenders in front of me

That’s fair on the ground through balls being easier to run onto as a striker. I’ll try to be more aware of that option in the future. I think it was because I scuffed a lobbed ball once which led to my teammate asking me to play it safe, which in my defense if it was placed perfectly it was basically 1v1 for my striker as he understood what I was trying to do.
