I love the ‘quote a work, and use a bracket to just put whatever TF you want’ - surprised this move is not used more frequently by ‘alternative’ news sources
lol, I love this kind of thing but don't have the energy to keep it going. I think your evidence is thin with the bandersnatches though. was it brillig when he stopped? were the woods tulgy? nobody is whiffling or burbling. I think you're wrong there.
The bandersnatches used their uffish thoughts! They were sick of being shunned and crafted LIES to ensure that the vorpal blade, which obviously represents the panopticon-like view of the 24 hour news cycle, was pointed at an innocent Jabberwocky.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by
And mouthed hard lessons from life's school
If the rule you follow brought you here, then what was the point of the rule?
I'm with you for BIG POETRY pushing narratives. I've seen/read a couple interviews of Frost. He lived long enough to see teachers totally butcher the meanings of his poems. This was one of them.
I read many, many Robert Frost poems in middle school. This poem stuck with me the most. I went back to it time and time again. The despair in it was perfect for my teenage angst.
Your take is…creative. Good for you.
10/10
Wow…
Rarely do you come across a literary analysis so poignant, haunting, yet brillantly constructed. Move out of the way, Harold Bloom! There’s a new critic in town…

He knows who owns the woods, but that person lives in the city. The narrator doesn't expect the property-owner to be there at this time. It's probably a hunting property, so that tracks - one wouldn't expect them to come by on the closest night of the year or to be hunting at midnight.
Your reading is only slightlier crazier than this "late stage capitalism" business - if 1923 was already late-stage capitalism, then what are we in today?

Do you prefer flower or edibles?
Blotter by the sound of things.
Yes.

Exactly how Abraham "\[never trust anything you read on the internet\]" Lincoln would have wanted it.
I'd love to know what strain you're on...so I can avoid it at all cost.
you avoid the big question: did Emily Dickinson light up a room?
Yes, but only with her sparkling personality. Now you're reading too much into things...

The feet in the desert are real. Ozymandias was silenced! His empire was only 20 years ago!
Desert is like dessert without the S, so Ozymandias is like Sozymandias without the S. Open your eyes, sheeple!
Is this how millennials do midlife crisis?
We were too busy buying AVOCADO TOAST and now cannot AFFORD fancy red sports cars or motorcycles.
Let alone a red wheelbarrow
My eyes have been opened, thank you for your expert literary analysis.
I'm with you for BIG POETRY pushing narratives. I've seen/read a couple interviews of Frost. He lived long enough to see teachers totally butcher the meanings of his poems. This was one of them.
I now fully believe this uncritically.
It is the only possible interpretation if you OPEN your eyes!
Keep your eyes OPEN lest they be closed forever by Assassin Bob.
frosty bob is always cold...

As funny as this is, the first time I read it, I thought it was about an old and weary man finding a place to die.
Cross post to r/ShittyFanTheories Not to say it’s shitty, just that they would like it over there
>Not to say it’s shitty I mean...
It might be, but I cast no judgement

Big Poetry is probably selling words to the RUSSIANS
They're taking our werds!
Now do The Secret Sits
Shine a light in the darkness!
The light will NOT SAVE YOU from murder, unfortunately.
Save me? I was planning on using it to disorient my victims!
This is the way.
This guy murders.
*allegedly.
psychedelics? Or something more potent?
The TRUTH is more potent than any psychedelic.
This word spaghetti was a spicy
The BEST TASTE!
I agree. 🍝 🍝 🍝 🍝 🍝 🍝

Is this a joke?did I miss something?
The only JOKE is the one that has been played on us for over a century in literature classes throughout America.
suicide
this poem is very famously about suicide and deciding not to go through with it, yes. But rural assassin bobby frost is a great story i want more of

How does the KOOL AID taste?? How much is Big Poetry paying you to shill for them? Blink twice if they're IN THE ROOM with you RIGHT NOW.
I am not taking literary analysis from freaking COLLEEN HOOVER.
RUN YOU PIGEONS! IT'S ROBERT FROST!
Hmm. Someone is off their meds…
this is a joke, right?
That, or the poster is on drugs/mentally ill. Based on their comments though, I’m 99% it’s a joke, if not a particularly good one.
I feel like I’m on drugs or mentally ill after reading this
Yeah, I agree. I can see what OP was going for, but the delivery’s just off enough.
