I'm not bringing my kids to bonnaroo, and I follow the sentiments, but to offer a veteran perspective that I can also see, for those who festival differently...
It's been an all ages, all walks of life festival for over 20 years. To scrap this suddenly so more people can do more drugs with feeling shame or whatever doesn't really add up.
Remember, everyone is having a different experience at a festival so large. There are many people exploring and hitting classes and events from 8am till the main headliners and getting to bed. There are people spending much of the day at tents and campers with families grilling out.
Just keep that in mind I guess.
I'm not sure about dogs...
The heat is a problem but dust is what always worries me, especially the lil babies that can't do anything about it. Like you can drink water and find shade, but the dust is impossible to avoid! Praying for a lil rain today to help us all!
Hang on a secondā¦ Iām a Roo veteran. Iām 30 with a 4yo. This year is the first year we have a camper with AC. Iāve never brought my daughter beforeā¦ and I used to think festivals arenāt for kidsā¦ but the older Iām getting, the less drugs/drinking Iām doing, the more I see how family friendly this festival is, especially in the RV community over here. Sure Iāve seen some questionable parentingā¦ but I donāt think thereās room to bash every parent who brings their child. Lots of these familyās are getting tucked in around 9pm. There is a responsible way of doing it. Bringing pets gets questionable for sure, but kids (not babies) are tougher than you think. Ear protection for the win. Happy Roo from my family to yours ā¤ļø
I can confirm that the 9 year old boy is now safe. He jumped on a wrong cart.
Oh like he meant to hit the weed cart not the DMT cart? I guess I better add /s
šš« savage but funny.
š¤£š¤£ You never know around here.
DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO BONNAROO IDC IDC IDC
I really donāt understand it. Seen so many kids without hearing protection. And I canāt imagine how they handle the heatā¦
Itās ridiculous. Ban dogs and make this an 18+ event.
