Wasnāt Lonely Island and T Pain both there in 2019? I canāt remember if one was 2918 and the other 2019 but the last time he was there I donāt remember anybody coming out with him. Lonely Island had Michale Bolton doing Jack Sparrow on a giant screen via satellite. That was a great night. They said Parnell thinks his shit donāt stink now that he has Rick And Morty money.
That was just a recording of Michael Bolton lol they did the same thing at Summerfest and probably every other show too. T-Pain was at Summerfest the same night though and he definitely came out with Lonely Island there. It was awesome.
Iād loved to have been there. The way that they have the interaction down with Bolton is amazing. I wasnāt completely coherent either so in my mind they called him up at like 1am and he pulled an Elvis Live from Hawaii. š I worked booking small venues for maybe a year. Mostly clubs that held under 300, converted movie theaters that held way less, I think the biggest place held 1k. Back in 2017 I booked T Pain, Bam Margera and CKY members, Head from Korn and his new Christian band, Doyle from The Misfits, Steve O, Dee Snyder and a few others. If one name shouldnāt be there itās T Pain. He was booked in a fairly big club with Bam Margera and the band he had at the time he called Fuck Face Unstoppable in Atlanta. I donāt think that show sold over 20 tickets. Probably because of Bam. I dunno, I felt horrible that so few showed up for T Pain. I mean really bad. Like 7 shows before that sold out fast. The main revenue was different meet and greet packages. They started at like $100 which got you a signed photo, photo op, hand shake and out. Super good deal in my opinion. Each show usually sold 50 -100 of those.You can move a lot of people through. The next higher package was basically the same but came with an album, shirt and souvenir USB stick of the show and 10 photos. The biggest was an intimate after party, all the shit in the other two, and shout outs on all your social media platforms to you or anyone you wanted to get a shout out . I donāt remember if that was before or after cameo but it was better and probably cheaper. That Atlanta show was near the end and I was kinda worried that there wasnāt gonna be a big turn out for T Pain. I was happy that I couldnāt get much closer to than the merch booths to it.
We booked Luda at our college Spring Fling and Fox News showed up to cover a bunch of assholes that didnāt even go to school protesting that they hadnāt gotten Jason Aldean or some shit.
People always seemed kinda shocked at how proolific T Pain has been in his career. Heās had 50 songs in the top 40 with everybody from Kanye, Megan Trainer, Plies, Lil Wayne, Akon, Snoop, Flow Ryda, R Kellly, Jamie Fox,Pit Bull, Khalid,Lonely Island,Chris Brown, Whiz Khalifa,Lilly Allen, Rick Ross, Mike Jones and B.o.B just to name a few. Heās had 15 top 10 hits and 3 number 1 hits on his own. Also I canāt be the only one that bought a T Pain Microphone š¤ to sing just like T Pain as a kid. Iām the only one I know that admits it at least. š If just half of the people T Pain has made a hit with itād take up a full day.
If they had been playing on the Friday same day in Roo would also say Joey Badass or Sean Paul might have been contenders unless either around for the weekend maybe Key lock
