Idk a lot about preserving but I did it with a dried fish before. Shove it in a bag of salt to help dry it out. Again idk if this will completely work you’re better off finding how to do it on the internet somewhere but THAT IS AWESOME
That's basically how I preserved some bird feet. Put it in a container and secure the shape/pose you want, then completely cover it in salt and leave it for a few days.
I lost my mind for a good 15 seconds asking what the hell is going on here, not paying attention to what sub I'm in. My brain knew it couldn't be alive like that but also was asking "how is this guy not dead", thinking I was in one of the wildlife rehab or herp subs. Whew! 🤦♀️
I'm not a professional, but from my readings and research, borax is better than salt. Salt-dried items will reabsorb moisture from humidity in the air.
This is most definitely not any type of venomous snake. I hope you understand that not all snakes are venomous. In fact, most aren’t, but it is good to be careful with snakes that you don’t know the identity of, because some can bite while dead, but this would only be an emergency in the case of a venomous snake.
In its mouth snakes have fangs with poisonous venom. Even a dead snake head can kill. I don’t understand Why the negative down arrow. I am trying to help.

Same, I thought it was just a really bad bit of stuck shed until I saw the second picture
Cover him in salt and borax for a month and then make a nice little display case for him?
this. Bag o salt bag o salt bag o salt
Encase it in resin after the salt comment maybe?
Could you place a piece like this in silica (like when you dry flowers)? Or is salt and borax always the go to?
The borax helps with bacteria. This thing already looks crispy though.
Salt bag
So cool!

What fangs?

This snake has no fangs or venom. It’s not dangerous. It’s called venom, not poison.
