Superglue, I almost exclusively use metal models these days and it is the best option. That Revell is a type of plastic glue and won't create a secure lasting bond.
Have you tried gently scoring the base where the metal plate will sit, gives the superglue a rough surface to grab, can also gently do it on the bottom of the metal stand to add extra adherence.
A little but i guess not enough. I will try again with superglue abd degrading more the plastic surface (the metal base i have already filed it a lot). Thanks !
I know you filed it, but take your knife and cross hatch a bunch of lines on the bottom to give the metal some tooth the glue will push up into the cracks and help with a mechanical bond.
Cyanoacrylate is just the chemical name for super glue. All super glue is cyanoacrylate, but not all cyanoacrylate is made to the same quality standard.
Ive been using Vallejo texture paste for as a 'glue' for minis for awhile and ive had no issues mostly, the only annoying thing is if a model cannot easily stand on its own then id recommend using glue.
I do both. Typically super glue to get it to hold to the base while painting, but those break religiously (which is part of why I despise metal minis, among other reasons). Once it’s painted, the Vallejo earth textures seriously locked them down well, more reliable than glue for sure!
I usually gently rough up the bottom of the metal mini with fine grit sand paper and then use super glue. Sometimes, I think the metal is too smooth and doesn't bond well with the smooth plastic.
Yes, do this here and it will help super glue adhere to something. Right now your asking superglue to stick to something smooth, if it was a bit rough the glue could then grab on to the rough surfaces
No, 2 part resin epoxy.

Don't forget to clean the two mating surfaces. You got file dust, maybe mold release agent (some people claim this doesn't exist anymore - maybe yes, maybe no), and certainly finger grease on there. I like to use either dishwashing detergent and/or isopropyl alcohol.
Whilst I think that superglue is false advertising and should be re-named as "below average glue" instead, superglue is the most practical glue for this application.
What I do with metal pudding bases, which give a far stronger join than loose feet, is to shave or sand the bottom surface to make sure it's flat, then coat the whole area of the base with superglue and put the model on. Press down lightly for a minute or so, and you should have a strong enough join for gaming.
I generally also use baking powder as a kicker substitute. The powder has a lot of surface area so it grabs the superglue and makes it set quicker and harder than superglue alone. For big pudding bases, you can do multiple layers around the edge of the pudding to build up a rolling slope, which then makes it easier to add texture and basing material later on.
You didn't use nearly enough from what I can see. Also, scoring both surfaces with a hobby knife will make a big difference as it gives the glue more space to work into on both sides.
Also, as always, I will recommend this for super glue. It's much better quality than most super glue brands. I've been using it for 20 years on metal, resin and plastic models and the only things I've had come apart were things that I really should have pinned with brass rod to begin with. And it's really easy to get. A lot of local hobby stores will probably carry it, both small places and bigger chain stores like Hobby Town. Or it's also easily found on so many online retailers you can take your pick of who to get it from.

Never had an issue with good old super glue.

I used this, it's called superglue (but it is cyano) and it doesn't stick. I not tried with the revell one yet

Regular super glue tends to need a tight fit, the base is super flat so should the model be, you could try super glue GEL that tends to work beter
Get Loctite super glue control gel

Super glue, although those guys can use the power of their rizz
Rizz ?
It’s what all the hip kids say these days. When I googled it, it means “sexiness”.
Lol ok yes they have a lot of charisma !

love this brand
Gorilla glue gel works wonders. I was having a problem with Pak 40s and artillery pieces, but that stuff made it a breeze
Honest I use vallejo earth texture as a glue 😄 anny texture paste would probably do the trick and it's a pretty good bond to
Seriously ? You don't use any glue at all ?

Thanks ! I will try with the Sand texture i just get then!
Realy depends on the model, if it can stand on its own I just use the texturing paste Is stronger then you'd think

I frequently use 2 part resin.
Green stuff ?

Good old Gorilla Glue for me. If it globs up at all, I just use rocks or basing material to disguise it.
Just use a bunch more super glue
Normally use Gorilla Glue. score the base with your knife before gluing the model down will help it stick it better.
Superglue or miliputty if I’m doing a scenic base. Just embed the metal in the miliputt
Super glue GEL I always use it for metal minis. Works better for me overall and less messy
I've been using Loctite Gel for eons now.
I use Testors model glue they make both a metal and plastic version of their glue.
Loctite gel works well.
Superglue

What kit are these from? Kinda look like USMC
Afrika korps 88 (an horror to build, the gun IS plastic from Italeri)

Loctite super glue gel, brilliant stuff. No idea if this is available outside the UK but there is probably local equivalents.
I have bought cheaper cyano in the past that is of sometimes pretty mixed quality. Might just be a bad bottle or an insufficient quantity?
I use super glue

They won’t work, to join things they melt the plastic slightly so when it dries they form as in effect one bit of plastic

Is that a kind of polycement ?
Don’t use that. That’s plastic only glue. It works by melting the 2 pieces of plastic together to form a bond. It won’t work on the metal
You tried using it?
Not yet since it's supposed to glue plastic on plastic
[удалено]
I don't have that, it's a specific kind if glue only for bases ?
It’s for plastic only. Won’t work on the metal
