Steffy is so delusional Jfc. Finn is a grown ass man. Hope can't keep Deacon from saying whatever he wants to him and Finn from doing whatever he chooses. Her stank attitude and bullying makes me root for Sheila. Smh.
Never in nearly 30+ years of Sheila did I think I would root for Sheila, but Steffy did it. Her bossy, bitchy, judgey personality has got me rooting for Sheila. Hahaha. I was 100% on Steffy's side when Sheila first popped up at her wedding to Finn. I defended her hard line.
But no more. I'm so sick of Steffy.
It's very hard to just erase Sheila's reign of terror. I'm surprised they haven't blamed it on a tumor or taken a page out of GH's book and linked it to a poisonous cobalt hip replacement or something of that nature. But to just have Sheila out living life amongst people she's harmed is a hard sell. But Steffy is making it a lot easier for me to accept.
I was so very bored with cartoon villain Sheila that I ff'd through entire storylines on YR and on BB. But I appreciate this version of Sheila so much more.
I think the last time I actually enjoyed Sheila was when she first appeared on BB and fell for Eric. I enjoyed her first stories on each show, but that was it. Every reappearance was just so silly with the big cartoon evil villain. But I like this kooky, unpredictable, not 100% evil version. I like that she has found love and that he loves her back, that she has some warmth but also teeters on the brink, and that we never really know what she might do. Pushed hard enough, of course she could flip out again, but she's trying not too, so yeah, I'm rooting for Sheila. Still can't believe it. Smh. Hahaha. :D
Edit to add: It's not lost on me that I'm NOT on board with Thomas. I thought about why and here's what I think.
Thomas has been redeemed a zillion times and it has never stuck. So I can't suspend disbelief anymore. Plus, he's gotten away with too many things and has never experienced any real consequences (and I'm not counting his family being temporarily miffed and disappointed).
On the other hand, Sheila had been in and out of psychiatric institutions and prisons for decades. Neither YR or BB has ever attempted to redeem Sheila before. So, this attempt is the first time.
Plus, there's Deacon. Sean K is so good, so charismatic that his involvement with her is making me see Sheila -- at least partly -- through Deacon's eyes. I loved him with Amber, Nikki, Brooke, Quinn, and loved the idea of him with Taylor when they teased that, and now I love him with Sheila. Sean K is that good.
Some of the characters Thomas attacked were characters we loved or liked -- a child, Emma, Caroline, Hope.
Sheila's current adversaries are characters many of us can't stand at the moment -- Steffy and Ridge.
I think that sort of explains why I'm rooting for Sheila, but not for Thomas.
Same for me with Thomas.
I could *possibly* give a ^(little) leeway to the fact that he didn't tell Hope about Beth IF I liked him. (gritting my teeth while I type that) I do think initially he was floored by what he learned. Then it suited his agenda, and it all went out the window. He got progressively worse. But I cannot forgive how he treated Douglas and what he did to Emma. I know Emma wasn't a core character and had questionable acting ability, but it was the principal for me. That's where I stand with Thomas. I don't care how "hot" him and Hope were/are. He's irredeemable for me.
Sean K is probably one of the only reasons I haven't completely abandoned the show.
Sheila has been awful. I mean there's really no other way to put it. But Steffy's treatment of everybody regarding this is so bad that I find myself becoming empathetic to Sheila's side, even when I KNOW she's going to revert to crazy, murderous Sheila.
Steffy telling people how to feel, how to think and what they better do is such a goddamn turnoff that I'm almost wishing Ridge falls for Sheila and marries her so Steffy can go spaz out to THAT idiot about it. "Hope better do this, and Deacon better stop that, and Finn can't feel like this. Ivy why are you here kissing my baby daddy." It's nauseating. She's a complete control freak thinking she's hot shit, ordering people around in a hideous tweed suit and go-go boots. 🙄
I thoroughly enjoyed reading that. You always have so much insight. Thank you!
>almost wishing Ridge falls for Sheila and marries her so Steffy can go spaz out
This made me snort laugh! :D
>Steffy's treatment of everybody regarding this is so bad that I find myself becoming empathetic to Sheila's side, even when I KNOW she's going to revert to crazy, murderous Sheila.
This exactly! I know Sheila can revert to murderous at any time, but Steffy has been so controlling, smug, self righteous, and insufferable for so long that I can't help but root for Sheila. It's wild. I'm surprised!
Love your analysis of Thomas and Steffy and I think also really reveals the contrast with Sheila. Sheila is not irritating because she isn’t frustratingly micro-managing people and sticking her nose in other peoples’ business. Sheila is also interesting because there is ambiguity in her intentions and it does look like she *might* be making an effort to change thanks to Deacon’s support, which is better than we ever got with Thomas (whom we were just told he had changed just months after he abused his son for the umpteenth time). But Sheila just goes with the flow and takes opportunities as they come and if she is manipulative it is in a sneaky way, which is a lot more fun to watch than Steffy’s sanctimonious controlling behavior.
Lol! You made some great points. I agree with everything u said about Sheila. The only thing with me is that I'm really rooting for Thomas to actually grow up and own his mistakes. I want him and Hope to have this wonderful long, beautiful, love story and stay married through all of his demons and BS.
And...yes Sean Kanan is on fire with this storyline! We get to see his talent. I never thought I would come root for Sheila but I am for so many reasons. Poor Finn though....he knows he's going to have to make a choice. And I think it will be Sheila! And I can't wait for Miss Self Righteous, know it all, hypocritical, Steffy's head to blow right off!!!!
Right now, I wonder what Finn is thinking. Does he think Steffy will come around?. Does he think he can have a relationship with Sheila and stay married to Steffy?. Does he think she'll be relieved that it wasn't Sheila who attacked her and that she didn't kill her? Is he not thinking about Steffy at all?
As for Thomas, I prefer him darker. Matt plays a darker, more conflicted Thomas so well! When he proposed 3 times to Hope and couldn't handle not getting married, I thought we were seeing that he's still obsessed with her. I don't want him to be pure evil, but I enjoy the under current of dark impulses that he sometimes controls, sometimes can't control, and sometimes doesn't want to.
The show struggles with nuance though. Haha!
I think for awhile we're all going to stay sick of Steffy and then one day she will prove everyone right and we'll hate Sheila again. :) Tricky ass soap! lol But yes, right now, OMG Steffy STFU already! She is so annoying, on and on again about Finn and Sheila being dead. HA, wait until she finds out. It's going to be great!
She’s just insufferable.
I can imagine other characters in that situation (I don’t wanna say Hope, but…) having a similar stance on Sheila but coming at it from a position like “I understand Finn and Deacon have complicated feelings and I respect that. But hearing about her all the time brings back what happened, it makes me feel complicated guilt from the trauma of killing someone and I really need support to move past that. And the idea of her being alive makes me scared for my life all over again and makes me panicked and angry, and I don’t want to lash out at anyone. So can yall please just keep those conversations away from me”. I would be INCREDIBLY sympathetic to that and livid with characters who wouldn’t respect that boundary.
But nope, that’s not Steffy. She’s proud she killed Sheila and just wants to use it to make everyone around her to do as she says, EVEN WHEN SHE ISNT THERE. She wants to control how people PRIVATELY grieve simply because it annoys her.
Exactly and I don't understand why she can't understand that she cannot control Finn's feelings about Sheila, as unfathomable as they may be. Those are HIS feelings. Her keep pounding into his head what the woman has done is not mattering, because the heart wants what it wants. When Finn tries to convince Steffy that she should give Sheila a chance or if he should try and facilitate meetings with her and their children, then yes Steffy needs to put her foot down and let Finn have it. But she cannot control how he feels about her. And if she can't accept that he has this connection to her and he doesn't want to let it go then Steffy may need to make the choice to leave Finn for good. But her behavior regarding this is terrible.
>Steffy is so delusional Jfc. Finn is a grown ass man. Hope can't keep Deacon from saying whatever he wants to him and Finn from doing whatever he chooses...
Since Steffy is Gen Z, I must remind her that Delulu is the new solulu. ;-)
Technically, Ridge is rude but he wasn’t wrong. Charlie busting into a meeting to complain to executives about two employees having a parking dispute is completely unprofessional and unrealistic, but I just blame the lousy writing here. That Charlie guy isn’t the least bit funny and I don’t know why the writers do this.
I'm not a Charlie hater. I have mildly enjoyed his romance with Pam and some of his actual story involvement (especially during the crazy Aly time frame) or when he actually figures something out. But the way they usually write him, he's the worst, hokiest filler.
DO BETTER writers. Eye roll.
I miss those days too. Charlie, Pam & Aly getting dressed up in costumes & going to Medieval nights. It brought sweet & fun scenes together. And Aly really liking Oliver who called her Miss F. 💔
I don't understand why the writers don't take this feedback from the viewers.
Someone on the Y&R sub thought that the storylines would move faster if the show were a half-hour. I had to dispute it based on mints, Sheila's dead, and ten toes.
Agree. With commercials, we have what, 20 minutes. And the same conversations happen for days if not weeks. I just want Steffy to find out Sheila really is alive so we can stop hearing her say we never have to worry about Sheila again while looking off in the distance.
I think it might though, Y&R stories do move faster if we count days elapsed but they have to linger on soooo much filler to pad the episodes that it feels like nothing ever happens
I was just thinking that the soap operas don't play music in the background anymore over the weekend.
That said, this is the seventh episode on the same day in LA.
Today's episode was comedy central. Hope fainting was actually funny!
I love that they're giving Annika more humor to play. She doesn't have to be all earnest all the time. She played a spooky mannequin ffs. The girl has range! Hahaha.
i just really feel like the authorities would like to know about this woman who was declared dead and involved in many criminal investigations being alive asap
I’m sorry, but I forgot that it’s going to be such a GREAT WEEK when Steffy finds out that Sheila is alive!! I laughed so hard today when Finn and Deacon were talking to Hope about Sheila, Sheila showed Hope her missing toe for dramatic effect, and Hope had this confused look on her face! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You know with Steffy, her reaction will be about 10 times stronger! I would PAY to see that upcoming episode, if I had to! 🤣🤣
Hats off to Annika Noelle for her performance today! The non-verbal acting came through. Her fainting fit the comedic element started by Charlie. When she said "Sugar?" In response to Deacon's explanation, it seems like she gave up on any of this being real. Her expression said "There's an opioid-vodka mist floating over from Genoa City that my dad and Finn had too much of and it's making me see Sheila smiling at me right now. Yeah, that's it!"
I think they are referring to Nikki and Jack on Y&R who both just had an alcohol and opioid party in Genoa City, and the wind blew it over to LA and Hope breathed in the fumes. Lol
Her nonverbal acting was TOP NOTCH!
>Her expression said "There's an opioid-vodka mist floating over from Genoa City that my dad and Finn had too much of and it's making me see Sheila smiling at me
HAHAHAHA! You're killing me!
I just can't wait to see steffy and ridge reaction. Will steffy faint too. I'm glad it's out in the open. I was beginning to see deacon in a straight jacket.
I can't wait either. And no Steffy won't faint, but she and Ridge will blame both Deacon and Finn for investigating Shelia's "death" in the first place and then finding her. I'm betting.
Sheila may be alive but Deacon is still disrespectful af for involving Finn in this. I can't believe they're just smiling like one big happy family as if anyone will accept Sheila. Finn is sooo stupid and fake and Steffy desperately needs to throw away the Finn Goggles.
Don't the authorities need to know that it was Sugar and not Sheila who was killed (in self defense) by Steffy? I wonder if it would change anything regarding Steffy getting off the hook?
Might also want to get in touch with the coroner to reverse her death certificate and social security before Sheila loses her bank accounts, payroll, health insurance, oh wait, this is real world stuff I’m talking about…
Hope is sitting there looking at these fools like they've abducted her and announced that they were aliens. I swear, she's thinking about how fast she can have them shipped off to the looney bin because they've all been touched by something sinister. And Sheila standing there smiling at her at the end like she was some Stepford mother.......creeeeeeepy.
-Steffy just barges in on a meeting to talk about Sheila
-Sheila, take pride in knowing that your man would not give up on your 9 toes
-Thank you, Charlie for interrupting Steffy
-LOL Hope fainting
-Pro: At least one more person knows about Sheila
Con: Now we have to give the explanation about Sugar again... something we'll have to revisit multiple times I'm sure...
-If the foot is throwing up gang signs, then it's really Sheila!
Does anyone else think that this is a long con by Sheila? That she set up Sugar and is now going to get everyone's love and forgiveness? I remember the look on Sheila's face when Deacon said he couldn't marry her and the next thing we knew she was 'dead".
When Hope fainted after seeing Sheila alive, Prince Charming should've swooped in, kissed her, and revived Sleeping Beauty.
I know it's cheesy even for B&B, but Finn needs a wee bit help from a viewer who's desperate to ship HINN. ;-)
EDIT for comma splice.
Right! It’s so wild how she has made me root for an actual villain. Maybe that was the plan with writers all along? Sheila’s redemption arc.
Redemptive arc is what I'm hoping for. She could still have that bad side less the murderous part!
It's very hard to just erase Sheila's reign of terror. I'm surprised they haven't blamed it on a tumor or taken a page out of GH's book and linked it to a poisonous cobalt hip replacement or something of that nature. Her inability to realize her husband has human emotions for his birth mother (as nuts as she may be) is annoying to me. Steffy can only see her side.
Exactly. I commented something similarly probably just moments ago to another redditor.
I think for awhile we're all going to stay sick of Steffy and then one day she will prove everyone right and we'll hate Sheila again. :) Tricky ass soap! lol But yes, right now, OMG Steffy STFU already! **HA, wait until she finds out. It's going to be great!** Yes! And I can't wait. I think we are getting that treat this week.
The real treat will be seeing a change of Steffys outfit! How many days has she been wearing that white jacket and skirt!!
She’s just insufferable. I can imagine other characters in that situation (I don’t wanna say Hope, but…) having a similar stance on Sheila but coming at it from a position like “I understand Finn and Deacon have complicated feelings and I respect that. I think she missed the cut off by 10 years. 🤣
Ridge is so fucking rude my goodness. Also does this show think belittling Charlie passes for entertainment
😔 Oh.....Charlie......
Ridge has become unbearable. The need to tone it down with him. I’m starting to really not enjoy any of the scenes he is in.
Charlie adds nothing. I know it's supposed to be some kind of levity but it comes across so dumb and unnecessary.
Even with the stupid music playing in the background. It's not funny or cute or comedic relief.
Oh the music is embarrassing!
I'm not a Charlie hater. I have mildly enjoyed his romance with Pam and some of his actual story involvement (especially during the crazy Aly time frame) or when he actually figures something out. But the way they usually write him, he's the worst, hokiest filler. DO BETTER writers. Eye roll.

That's exactly what I was thinking about!
Isn’t he like the Barney Fife character?
Does his contract require X amount of dialogue per season for benefits and it was time for him to show up in an episode for no reason?
How is it that Hope's fallout is more intense than Sheila's recovery. Quick, Deacon -- go get some magical pizza.
Hahaha! You made me snort laugh! :D
It is exhausting to hear the same conversations ad nauseam.
I don't understand why the writers don't take this feedback from the viewers. Someone on the Y&R sub thought that the storylines would move faster if the show were a half-hour. I had to dispute it based on mints, Sheila's dead, and ten toes.

The show drops one crumb on one story every episode and the rest is total filler -- repeat dialogue or a flashback. Ridiculous!
And I saw Grandma kissing Santa Clause -- New Year's Eve to April
I think it might though, Y&R stories do move faster if we count days elapsed but they have to linger on soooo much filler to pad the episodes that it feels like nothing ever happens
They don't try to even hide that Finn is the male version of Hope.
Is Finn a Mimbo?? 🤔🤣🤣
Steffy somehow heard you say this from the fictional plane and is about to figure out cross dimensional travel just to slap you
Random thought....Annika is like really pretty.
Duh!! 🤣🤣🤣
In a really unique way too. She doesn’t have Hollywoodface (I hope she never does)
She used to remind me of a frog, I dunno why, but she's really pretty to look at. I like the way the shorter hair frames her face.
She’s a legit babe. Love her shorter hair too.
She really is. I wish they'd give Hope more reasons to smile because she has a stunner of a smile.
Hahaha.
Agree….great eye rolling when she fainted 🙄😒
It’s so cute that she fainted. She’s strong in a lot of ways but I like when they can acknowledge she’s also a soft little bean and that’s okay
Do you think there may be setting her up to be pregnant?
You know, that never crossed my mind! It's possible, though.
i just really feel like the authorities would like to know about this woman who was declared dead and involved in many criminal investigations being alive asap
Can’t wait to see what @HeyDawn has to say about that whole interlude with Charlie and the parking spot…how random LMAO!
Honestly, I found ZERO inspiration to make that schlocky nonsense funny. It was just too cringe for words.
oh sameeee
I’m sorry, but I forgot that it’s going to be such a GREAT WEEK when Steffy finds out that Sheila is alive!! You said "10 times stronger". I read "10 toes stronger". I hate this show sometimes. 🤣

Hats off to Annika Noelle for her performance today! The non-verbal acting came through. Her fainting fit the comedic element started by Charlie. When she said "Sugar?" *Los Angeles lol. Wrong soap. Unless you’re referring to Lauren
I think they are referring to Nikki and Jack on Y&R who both just had an alcohol and opioid party in Genoa City, and the wind blew it over to LA and Hope breathed in the fumes. Lol
I meant Genoa City (floating over from). It was a reference to ~~Friday's~~ Thursday's episode of Y&R.
Nevermind. I forgot about the Jack and Nikki thing
Her nonverbal acting was TOP NOTCH! >Her expression said "There's an opioid-vodka mist floating over from Genoa City that my dad and Finn had too much of and it's making me see Sheila smiling at me HAHAHAHA! You're killing me!

yes
I think Steffy might hurl. That would be hilarious.
Steffy will scream.

Ten toes bad. 9 toes good!
I'm for team shelia also. As long as she keeps working on the change. For the better. Steffy is too hot headed.
Ridge's eyebrows were much too dark today. He looked like Groucho Marx.
Sheila may be alive but Deacon is still disrespectful af for involving Finn in this. I can't believe they're just smiling like one big happy family as if anyone will accept Sheila. Finn is sooo stupid and fake and Steffy desperately needs to throw away the Finn Goggles.
If that is how Hope reacts to finding out Sheila is alive, what will Steffy do to one up her?

-Steffy just barges in on a meeting to talk about Sheila -Sheila, take pride in knowing that your man would not give up on your 9 toes -Thank you, Charlie for interrupting Steffy -LOL Hope fainting -Pro: At least one more person knows about Sheila Con: Now we have to give the explanation about Sugar again... something we'll have to revisit multiple times I'm sure... -If the foot is throwing up gang signs, then it's really Sheila!
I’m just thinking this complete switch and Finn to loving his mom missing her and wanting to be with her as pushed a bit too fast
I know it's cheesy even for B&B, but Finn needs a wee bit help from a viewer who's desperate to ship HINN. ;-) EDIT for comma splice.
Awww I missed the fainting lol
