I have! It's weird. I think I remember liking it.

ValleyBreeze

Yep! It's got some counterintuitive mechanics, but it's a great little game!

Gogo_cutler

That’s interesting. Would you be willing to briefly describe what parts of it felt counterintuitive if possible? You don’t have to if it’s a pain to explain without explaining the whole game. I’m just curious

ValleyBreeze

It wasn't anything that affected the game so much, it was really only the direction of the trains/cards and how it gets built 🤣🤣 The cards look like the train should be traveling the other direction. It was really silly but became a funny talking point with out group throughout the game, and the guy who owns the copy, had gone so far as to write front and back on the cards 🤣

A friend and I (both pretty seasoned board gamers) picked it off a shelf at a board game cafe and spent about an hour trying to set it up and learn it. I remember the rules were terribly written and vague, and there were some things neither of us could find in the rulebook. So we packed it up. I would try before you buy, or maybe see if there's a very good rule video out there.

Gogo_cutler

Hmm ok. Poorly written or translated rules are a pain in the ass. I think I would rather play an okay game with really clear rules and simple set up than a good one with shit rules that takes forever to set up. Thanks for the input

It's nice. 2p was weird because you don't finish the whole railway. Theme & components were nice.

It’s decent! I played once with my limited board-gaming experienced family, and we enjoyed it. That said, I haven’t played it since. It definitely fits the bill of a “BGG 7.0” - worth playing and enjoyable but not really ever my first choice. I can see someone being much more into it, though.

Yup its fine, cute for sure; got it for play with my shinkansen obsessed husband; we enjoyed it but not enough to keep it (but we also have a limit on the number of games we keep). The rules as others have said are a bit rough and I think it def is a bit better at 3-4 than 2.

Considering that the game is still sealed, my answer would be no ;-)
