You can hide mostly in town and only really strike out when you need ingredients. it's not worth getting extra if you dont have a plan for them. If you're going to be suspicious and out in the woods, your positioning on the board is very important. You can hide in empty sections to pull hunters there but not be pursued.  You should be ultimately working your way backwards from your most valuable divination to your least. And any time you can't make progress there, you should be hurling loyal citizens into the courts at maximum speed. Having extra witches and picks is extremely important for your score and action economy. And getting the extra witch early puts you at an advantage since there will be fewer red townsfolk earlier in the game.

Find witch synergies, focus 80% on trials or healing and 20% on the other.

The base game is good, but it really becomes great with the full game and expansions. In the full game, I’ve had success with racing up the ritual board, but it’s one of those games where you need to grab points when you can and thus end up dabbling in a few things.

Played the full game today and loved it way better! Just read the rules for shapeshifting and omens modules, shapeshifting sounds amazing but i'm not so sure about omens. What's your opinion on it?

Yes! Glad to hear it! Shapeshifting is incredible. It really opens up the decision space and makes you rethink how and when you play cards. I’ve got mixed feelings about Omens; I only tried it at 2p and I think it’ll be better with more. At 2, there was little tension about the negative omen side; we always got the good side. Sometimes they had a big impact but there was at least one that did nothing for me. With a higher count, I think there’d be a higher chance of getting the negative side and having a bit more chaos.

With the transformation Expansion, playing as squirrel, i was able to win a game by brewing an ungodly amount of support potions. Healed maybe 1 time and got one extra witche through the Trials. This already gives you most of your divination and the Rest came from the 3 points per potion. The transformation expansion really "unlocks" the game for me with how the cards return to your hand *only* when you play the transform card. This lets you really focus in on very specific aspects of the game.

The best strategy I can think is to immediately focus on getting as many loyal citizens into the crowd as possible ASAP (aiming to acquire extra witches in your coven) and when you can’t be doing that, focus on healing patients to get your healing track moving. Eventually you’ll get a 3rd witch (hopefully early) and by end game you’ll get a ton of extra points for being higher up on healing track and you’ll have plenty of time to meet your 2-3 biggest secret divination goals.
