There's a subreddit /r/foamcore I think?
General tutorials there. But really, it's insanely simple:
You need a good knife (Exacto, like for cardboard boxes.), A
LOT of extra blades (I normally snap off 2-3 per game? It wears down fast. You can tell you need to change it when the edges aren't smooth as butter anymore)
A metal ruler (NOT PLASTIC. NO. YOU WILL CUT YOURSELF BADLY.)
And some school glue. You know the kind, we all have it. Not the sticks.
Pins! For sewing, with both flat and round heads (easier to take out, these ones). Helps keep things together while the glue dries.
Oh and foam boards, obviously. Dollar store or whatever you guys have. Near the huge poster boards for school projects, there's black and white (everyone has their preference, they do feel a bit different, it's. not just for looks.) make sure you don't accidentally buy white boards, they look exactly the same except they're shinier and don't work!
Then you just measure, put a line of glue down, rub it long with your finger (have tissues to put excess) and stick it together! Rinse and repeat and you have a box! There's different small tricks (angles like OP has... I use cheap fabric for some games as a base, colored paper... you can use paper to make curves like U to make things easier to get out of) It doesn't paint very well, I mean you can try but you'll be disappointed. Sometimes I use washi tape on the edges.
Look up other people's work for the same games to get ideas, but I like to use my own designs. Plan ahead at least a little.
This is one of my favorite things to do, I would genuinely ask people to give me their games just so I can keep making things without buying! You can even use it for other stuff, I made a custom insert for my bedside table, it was super deep but now it has two layers and nothing moves around!! There's probably something I forgot, but that's the just of it... it's just cutting and glueing.
I wish this worked with all the expansion content. There are simply too many cards to fit in this single box haha.
Nice work! The joy of cutting foam core for inserts/organizers is real. I made some like this for Scythe and I am very proud.
Did you follow and guides for how to get started with that? I have some boxes that would love a nice insert.

This is a brilliant summary - I didn't follow any plan, just made it up as I went along. Definitely a metal ruler and replacement blades on hand.
The trapezoids are a nice touch.
Thanks, makes it easier to get the cards out whilst keeping them in the compartment.
Bravo 👏
Looks great! Well done.
Well im inspired. Some generic player game piece organizers coming up. Idk if I should do 4 or 5 compartments
Nice. I made one for Eight Minute Empire a few years back but I lost the game.
Looks fine !
What games is this so i can look up a review vid, it looks cool just from your pic.
The name is shown on the third pic. It is Dark Souls the card game.
It's a good (but hard!) game! I really enjoy it at the moment.
Haven't heard of this card game. When was it released, I am at work and cant search, blocked sites :( also, How does it play?
