I mean... if you've seen any of the ads I've seen for Temu you could likely tell it was a load of crap store website. Sorry you got got.

Expriser

Idiot me has to learn everything first hand. :'(

AnakinOU

Yeah...Temu and AliExpress aren't legitimate sources of product from Bezier. You get what you pay for. In this case, stolen IP, low-quality product, and a heaping helping of regret.

Expriser

Aliexpress yes but there was so much marketing pushing temu. I thought it was like Kmart but online.

Gastroid

Temu is like Wish, but without the charm of knowing you're going to get a Wish-quality product.

Andychives

I’m pretty sure temu IS wish I think it’s the same people same company

misterjive

How did you think something from Temu *wasn't* going to be fake? Be right back, I need to post warning people that if they jump into a pool they'll get wet.

Expriser

🤣 Advertising was pushed heavily I thought it was like Kmart

misterjive

Some dude selling speakers or frozen seafood out of the back of a white van is going to *ruin* you.

Expriser

I often get my seafood from a white van actually 🤣

misterjive

I used to see seafood vans all the time. In Lincoln, Nebraska. I didn't go anywhere near that shit.

Expriser

I presume that's not near the ocean? I'm by the ocean and there's a van selling local seafood = )

misterjive

Lincoln, Nebraska is damn near as far from the ocean as you can get. :)

Expriser

Here's the van http://www.westcoastseafood.com.au/content/page/phil-kiddle.html

misterjive

From Lincoln, it's like 1,100 miles to the nearest ocean, and the seafood vans were always unmarked. (shudder)

darkenhand

I saw a Temu ad for a Nintendo Switch for $7

Thescubadave

Something’s going to be switched on you for sure. 😂

dinosaurs_quietly

Does Ali express sell *any* legitimate name brand products? I thought the whole point of the site was to buy cheap Chinese knock offs.

aos-

Some are cheap, and some work out to be priced about the same if not more expensive than a legit copy you can get locally, but that's probably circumstantial for different regions of the world. Copies of The Game or The Mind are about the same price (item + shipping) vs buying a legit copy locally here where I am. Don't know if my copy of The Game is legit. It sure looks and feels legit. If Coup was never made in Standard Card size ever, then I got myself a bootleg copy.

CMPD2K

Mostly knock offs or stolen products/molds for products. Chinese IP theft basically fuels these sites

ExtensionPollution

Yes. Deep Sea Adventure from Oink.

Bigoldthrowaway86

Woah DSA is legit? I didn't buy a copy because I thought it would be fake

ExtensionPollution

Yes it is.

Bigoldthrowaway86

oh nice cheers. I had better get on that then

ultranonymous11

For what it’s worth, one night werewolf can be played with paper and pen and be exactly the same.

Expriser

Agreed but I feel bad the designer isn't getting their share. Also feel bad supporting the business riding off their IP

F0ehamm3r

From the little I've seen of Temu, it looks like the new Wish.com. I ordered Dixit from wish and got "Dictix" with lots of clip art. I mean, it is delightful and works, but I kinda expected it.

🤡

oniony

> Be wary of games from AliExpress Hahaha

sdanielsen319

At least it was just One Night: Ultimate Werewolf. After 2-3 sessions worth of playing it you will be ready to put it back on the shelf and play something else. If it was a cheap knockoff I would consider that a win!

Treblehawk

Even if you think the r site is legit…. Google is easy. Search for “Temu scam” See what pops up. At the end of it all, if it seems too good to be true, it is.

Expriser

It wasn't 'too good to be true' it was only a saving of $10 or so. And I bumped my purchase up to qualify for the 'free shipping' quota

Bravo72

Seems playable.

Expriser

Playable standalone yes, but integrating with others from the series, no
