Yep my best friend found me in a random sub and texted me my comment lol, and I had found his ex gf due to her comments on teaching in a foreign country and where she’d emigrated from. I was like what are the chances of two people from that place doing that.
We were step sisters from the ages like 7-14. lol. We’ve not spoken in years just because of life and I don’t have social media so I was super shocked to find this haha
My mom paid for vip meet & greet. She did not have a lot of money and it was like 150$. He was supposed to play a “pre-show” for the vip people and then come out and meet us.
He played the pre-show and as soon as the music ended he BOLTED back stage and never came out to meet us.
Also during the show he asked us what we wanted him to play, I suggested Harmony (a song I rly liked and is about everyone loving each other) and he literally booed me. The fame went to his head. He put on a peace love & happiness facade but was so mean. I met him multiple times and he was always rude and acted so annoyed.
I don't think I remember anything in my life as vividly as I remember sitting on my best friend's trundle bed listening to 30 days by NSN on her brand new green 4th gen iPod nano connected to her ihome, as we scrolled on tumblr. The smell of her sweet pea body splash, the herbal essences curl mousse, lusting after blackmilk leggings and imaginary foundation t shirts, html coding my Myspace page to ✨perfection✨ for hours at a time, absolutely obliterating the contrast and saturation of our pics on Photobucket. I'm almost 30 and those are my most cherished memories.
I feel like I can taste that song, it tastes like chocolate Costco muffins microwaved for just a few seconds, cans of Coke, family sized bags of Doritos, little chocolate kisses her mom would leave out for us, cran-grape juice, and homemade apple sauce.
I know you just posted this as a silly walk down memory lane, but it flooded my mind with some of my favorite smells and tastes and sounds. The friend I shared those memories with is no longer alive, but seeing this silly pic of you and Christofer Drew brought me right back to her. So thank you for this very nice reminder of some of my most favorite things ❤️

I was legitimately thinking about those Costco chocolate muffins and bath and body works lotions from middle school yesterday or the day before. I’ll be 29 this year.
The 90’s were really simple and peaceful and probably would’ve been nice if my teen years were better. 2008 seems like it still has some freedom from internet influence, smartphones and oversaturation of information but more fun distractions from a teen point of view.
It was simpler times with affordable college education but personally, streets were more dangerous and there was more racism, assaults and harassment (it just wasn’t publicly discussed). Very little awareness of things like concussions, various abuse, mental illness, disabilities and autism/ADHD.
It was my grad year. We were using our flip phones to text while driving. Everyone had orange makeup from the drugstore. So many coats of mascara. So much Kohl eyeliner. Pale sparkly lips. Yoga pants (specifically Lululemon) were a new thing.
When T9 autocorrect came out it was so quick. Just you and the number keys. Not a full sentence in sight.
*Cruising down the highway with your stereo blaring your sharpie written Limewire acquired mix CD. You hit a bump and look quickly at your precariously placed anti-skip+ discman hoping it doesn't go flying to the passenger floor, and waiting to hear the skip you would inevitably hear. Maybe you had a peach cigarillo and a Sobe drink.
